I did that mountain from the other side, Yankee boy basin, many-many years ago. When I looked down the north face from the top I so wanted to climb the couloir. Never did make it back. Thanks for taking us along on the trip.
whaaaat, this came on auto-play and I was like, "these guys didn't do Sneffels yet"...but saw this was uploaded today!! Awesome - can't wait. I summited Sneffels a few years ago - loved it.
Ahh so excited you posted a new video! Lolll the name on this one is hilarious - those blue lakes are super special in the summer. Looking forward to more of your videos this summer.
I tried to eat my lunch at work today while watching this. First bite attempt was around the point you climbed into the couloir. A couple minutes later I realized I was still staring at the screen motionless with my fork hovering over my salad like a weirdo. Hope no one saw me...
Super jealous -- this is a line I've been eyeing for years, but now I'm on the other side of the country. Sneffels is one of my favorite peaks but the low snow in May is kind of crazy, I remember climbing Sneffels by its standard route in July 2019 with continuous snow from the trailhead. Btw, most people rap into the couloir from the summit block -- that downclimb looked pretty spicy.
I missed your videos! Thanks for posting! At the moment, as I'm not native english speaker, I'm trying to figure out why the name Sneffels is so funny - that's my adventure, LOL!
The return of pucker factor! Also I felt guilty eating my second bowl of fruit loops while listening to Christ of Nutella talk about being out of shape.
Greetings from the UK.....Its only my opinion for what its worth but when you booted up for the snake couloir, would it not have been a better option to get the axes out. If you had taken a tumble there you would not be able to arrest the fall down the couloir with ski poles. I really enjoy your video's if only we had mountains in the UK like you guys....... Keep the Vids rollin'😉
Why didn't you guys use crampons for the patchy snow spots in lower elevation? I would think that would be faster than taking ski's off and on again. Amazing vid though!
I usually give Christof crap about his fitness. Not this time! I know Mount Sneffels well. Great effort and your turns were great not rusty!!! The conditions at the top were dangerous. Definitely, no fall zone!!!
Tried to climb Sneffels last October on a quick road trip passing thru Colorado. Got snowed on, and that shut down all of the roads up to it from Ouray, unfortunately, but I will be back!
Official Counter: Mediocre Amateur videos since Danny's last puke: 7! Great t see Christof back on a 14er. Maybe I need to start a second counter of the number of different headbands Christof wears in an interview: Number of Christof headbands: 3.
This is too good, we attempted this exact route on May 22, 2021 and couldn't even make it to Blaine basin the conditions were atrocious and we got thunderstormed on (rain at 10,500ft) and the hard freeze we were counting on to try and make any progress never came so we got skunked. We'll try again some other time though!!
Excellent work fellas! I wished you had better footage of that summit pitch, a drone perspective would have been special there. It appears that the mountain biking may have benefitted Christoph?
Oh hey! I can see Sneffels from my front porch right meow! Trivia time: Mt. Sneffels was named after the volcano Snæfell in Iceland. That mountain and its glacier, Snæfellsjökull, which caps the crater like a convex lens, were featured in the Jules Verne novel A Journey to the Center of the Earth. An area on the western flank of Mount Sneffels gives the appearance of volcanic crater
My favorite day of the week is whenever Mediocre posts a video
I am with you man
“defenitley a no fall zone” -danny on the edge of a snowy abyss
I felt that. Ones I don't tell the wife about, much less take video of ;-)
@@vashusan1984 WORD.
Great vid
I LOL'd at "Let's get Chris down, and, em, get his mouth wrapped around a burrito." Too fun, as usual!

I’m ready for the mountain runs again 🙌🏽
THAT was SICK! Awesome descent on that steep stuff.....Wow!
That's my daily view! Probably was looking up there as you guys climbed.
Very impressive skiing, and PHENOMENAL video, ESP the drone footage - WAY COOL!
The music, the shots, the commentary. This is one of the best ones yet! Very well done
Sneffels helped bring out the best in the both of you
Great photography liked the survival skiing - been there!
Ayyyy South Slopes route. Gracious- you did that ascent after the saddle with snow in that steep gully. Now I need to do Sneffels again.
Your vids keep getting better. Glad kristoff is still kicking ass
whaaaat, this came on auto-play and I was like, "these guys didn't do Sneffels yet"...but saw this was uploaded today!! Awesome - can't wait. I summited Sneffels a few years ago - loved it.
Only Christof can pull off those sunglasses!

You guys have some big balls!!!! In No Fall Zone.
Bad ass... I was so nervous watching you guys ski down!
Thank you for being an inspiration for me
I missed your videos! Thanks for posting! At the moment, as I'm not native english speaker, I'm trying to figure out why the name Sneffels is so funny - that's my adventure, LOL!
Christoph seems deliriously “into thin air” at 10:40 trying to make an escape! Lol. Be careful!
Really cool place. Planning my first 14er this summer, getting stoked for that 12,500 pain cave. LOL
“Skis on skis off skis on”😂😂 that blunt punchin back
You guys are f’ing nuts! Great to see a new one posted! Thanks!
You guys make everything look easy. Even though I’m postive this is incredibly dangerous and difficult.
Love the videos! Watch your stuff all the time!
Seeing a new video from you guys is the best
Thank you for another great adventure!
What a great project and perfect footage, boys!
Top shelf work chaps
Thanks for another episode. Always entertaining!

Always inspiring me for future adventures!
Another awesome video guys. Looking forward to many more this summer!
Well done lads!
Loving the new soundtracks!

I was waiting so long for another video!
Awesome; new video. Love u guys

10 miles! You guys were really taking it easy!
Great video. Thanks guys.
this is amaaaaaazing!
Always excited to see a new Mediocre and it never disappoints !!! "Snaked the Sneffels"....quote of the week !!!!
The Legends are back.
Woooooooooooo! Back with Colorado! Let's gooo!
It’s ok Christof my jump turns on 50 degree slopes are rusty too
I usually give Christof crap about his fitness. Not this time! I know Mount Sneffels well. Great effort and your turns were great not rusty!!! The conditions at the top were dangerous. Definitely, no fall zone!!!
Cristof's headband selection was definitely ON POINT!
🙌
You guys need to do Wetterhorn peak in Colorado. Such an awesome peak
I met Christof while hiking in Utah!
You guys should do Little Bear-Blanca traverse in the summer!
I second this
I third this. probably the gnarliest traverse in Colorado
i fourth this
Best youtubers out there!!!
Love it guys!!! Question: how do you do the recording of the route you’re taking on cal topo for the video??
Also curious! It would be cool to get more behind the scenes stuff.
Y’all made me so nervous of getting cliffed out on that descent when Christof went over that small cornice.
Tried to climb Sneffels last October on a quick road trip passing thru Colorado. Got snowed on, and that shut down all of the roads up to it from Ouray, unfortunately, but I will be back!
so sick. curious as to why not scout out the climb with the drone to see when an appropriate time to put on the skis is if you have it?
Official Counter: Mediocre Amateur videos since Danny's last puke: 7!
Great t see Christof back on a 14er. Maybe I need to start a second counter of the number of different headbands Christof wears in an interview:
Number of Christof headbands: 3.
Been waiting for another one. Good stuff!

Oh yeah baby! Bring it on!
Excellent work fellas! I wished you had better footage of that summit pitch, a drone perspective would have been special there. It appears that the mountain biking may have benefitted Christoph?
That’s what I’m claiming no matter what Danny says😂
Looks like a lot of fun; glad to see you guys still at it! Did you use a drone at 7:34? How'd you get that smooth shot?
I do not ski, but love to hike mountains. Are those pieces you peeled off the skis what allow you to go up hill?
Fantastic video, again! I'd love to know you method of research on these treks.
very intense thanks!!!
"these guys just want to ride mountain bikes" LOL yep, that happened to me! I can see Sneffels from my house!
Those glasses Christof is wearing are so dope. Also is it Christof or Christoph? Or other? Haha
I’m not sure but I think it’s Christof. Like on The Truman Show.
11’ up, 3’ down. Sounds about right for these guys. For people like me, it’s 20’ to 1’. As always, impressive.
Have you guys thought about doing Trapper Peak in Montana via the Gem Lake Couloir?
Awesome man,
Wow this was kind of nerve wracking (start of the descent wth) but sooooo good
Brilliant

Do you guys ever use verts for booting up that soft stuff?
