- President Donald Trump has officially funded a Pentagon force focused on warfare in space - the US Space Force.
The new military service, the first in more than 70 years, falls under the US Air Force.
At an army base near Washington, Mr Trump described space as "the world's newest war-fighting domain".
"Amid grave threats to our national security, American superiority in space is absolutely vital," he said.
"We're leading, but we're not leading by enough, but very shortly we'll be leading by a lot."

Add that to the $800 billion already spent on defence which is more than the next 10 countries combined. The trillion spent in Afghanistan and the 1.2 trillion tax cut for the wealthiest people in America.
Money doesn't seem to be a problem for the government to spend. As long as that money is spent on bombs and not health care. When we start talking about something to help the people, then all of a sudden there isn't enough money.
And where does a big chunk of that health care money come from? Well it replaces your over priced private insurance plan with all of its deductibles and exclusions. That after tax money you spend on private health insurance versus a lower cost deduction off your pay check.

@@cvf628 Try reviewing that news piece again. The $734 Billion is the ENTIRE defense budget for next fiscal year of which the "Space Force" is a small part. It isn't adding $734 billion in additional costs to the defense budget.
And most of the money that can be used for health and education will probably disappear in a black hole...

738 billion is the defense budget for the entire armed forces. Not just space force. Unless you work for the government your wages are paid by private companies owned by private people like yourself. We have 3.5% unemployment. Employers can’t find enough people. If you want a better paying job now is the time to do it. You could also start your own business. It’s a great time. 🇺🇸👍

There are more than enough unemployed to fill those positions....unless jobs are skilled and the unemployed are not suitably skilled; in which case I'd take a serious look at the education system to see how things got that way, and take measures to turn things around.
A better standard of basic education would be a good place to start.
As you've hopefully learned from that other linked video about the dollar, there's no lack of the stuff in order to pay for that improvement, it just gets printed into existence from nothing; so government can't say no to improving the public education system, unless of course they'd prefer the vast majority remain dumb unthinking but hard working citizens.
