I replaced my cruise control buttons on my 1996 Ford Explorer XLT just a couple days ago. It was actually one of the easiest repairs that I have done on my Explorer. I reused my old ribbon cables. Thanks for your video.
I do not have such a fancy feature as steering wheel volume controls :*( lol. My buttons are just cruise control related. What year and model is your vehicle? 2000 Explorer?
@@ChristopherL0rtiz ahhh, gotcha :D lol. Something like this should work for retaining steering wheel controls, amzn.to/3K2tER8. As for the wire colors.. I'm unsure. I couldn't find any reference to them in my wiring diagrams though my shop manuals are for 2000 Ford Explorer, though I doubt there is much difference.

Does the Eddie Bauer wheel have AC controls and what not? If so.. you would lose all of that switching to a wheel like this one which is fairly simplistic. Would also need to bring over clock spring probably, connectors, etc.
@@D3RPZILLA but sadly I don’t think I could as my wheel has a 3 bolt on to connect to the steering column and those ones have the 4 bolts really annoying if you ask me if I could get an adapter but I dont wanna have like a spacer on it idk I’ll figure some out when I’m able to even buy these parts 😂
Like swap a single individual button? No.. they come as what you see here in the video. I'm sure you could maybe slice up something and do some soldering and get it to work though, lol :D

I wonder if that steering wheel can fit on my 01 Eddie Bauer cuz I got the ugliest and most uncomfortable wheel of the models
Hmmm.. I would think so! Unsure on the wiring harness but probably possibly though maybe would need to do some tinkering, lol.

Can you replace just the buttons?
