My son who passed away in May at age 43 of an undiagnosed heart condition was a huge Metallica fan! He probably still is enjoying their music from the other side!
You all think you're so old. Unfortunately, I didn't discover Metallica until I was 52, because I was pretty much just into classical music. 67 now, and still a huge Metallica fan.
My mother has been a fan since the beginning. She turned 70 in Oct. I played her the new Lux Aeterna and her first question was "when are they touring again?" Forget the haters. It's the diehard fans that deserve the attention.
Since the beginning? So around 83 when kill em all released when she was 28 or so! She really is a die hard fan shoutout to her she has my respect! I’ve only been a fan for a year and a half I’m 20
i mean for the load and reload albums they did kinda sell out. they started using eyeliner and wearing whatever the fuck they were wearing. and made songs that were trying to appeal to the knew kind of music listeners and didn't make songs they thought their fans would like
James Hetfield even said that Metallica wanted to do an album like the black album for a long time. They didn't make this record because of record label pressure. They made music that they wanted to. What, are they supposed to follow the same thrash formula for a 40+ year career? Stupid to call them sell outs. Honestly I kinda hate the sell out term in general. Bands aren't aloud to step outside of their normal formulas and follow a more mainstream sound without being hated on.
The people that say they sold out when they wrote the black album would have been slamming them for writing the same shit over and over again if they stuck with the same formula every damn album.
I love thrashy stuff but I also really like the black album it allowed the band to slow things down and play melodic stuff and expand their arsenal. Metal fans are weird. They love their genre of music and shit on other genres lack of intricate music but then shit on their bands for becoming successful. If it keeps metal alive why are you bitching about it?
A band that will forever be on their own level. No other band from this genre will ever come close! They paved the way for every heavy metal band going forward.

It's so nice to read all the stories of how you guys got to know Metallica at an early age. I can't remember when I heard them for the first time. I must have been 3 or 4 years old. I just know I've known some of their songs since forever. I've even heard some songs now as an adult that I hadn't heard in many many years and all of a sudden all the memories come back and I remember hearing the song and being so little that everything around me seemed to be huge. They've always been a part of my life.
If the Black Album sucks, then I should probably not tell my dad. He'll have a heart attack. Some twenty years ago he came to me with this album. "You should listen to this. It is very good."
The Unforgiven was the first song I ever heard. Ride the Lightning was the first record I ever heard, and Black was the first album I ever bought and still love it. Legendary band.😊
I remember a time decades ago when people thought of Metallica’s Black Album as being “soft” or a “sell out “.... but their true fans always got it.... and it was amazing as always...I never cared about a number of stars review and never will.... Metallica, your fans are here forever!🤟🏻❤️🤟🏻❤️

I Love this Album. It's what's got me into METALLICA. STILL MY FAVORITE. I wore out a cassette tape and a cd I am on my second cd, I did down loaded in a flash drive for my truck/car. You guys are COOL.
One of my favorite albums, welll then there's M.O.P 's which was also amazing. And their new music as well. Thanks for the past, the present, and the future Metallica!
I remember my introduction to Metallica like it was yesterday It was around 1992. I was about eight years old and there was this cool older guy who gave me a tape of …And Justice for All. I went home and played that tape over and over, it is still my favorite album to this day.
I've never been a big Metallica fan personally ( not that I don't respect their musicianship, they are great musicians and performers), just wasn't all my personal vintage. But good grief are these guys FUNNY, and have an AWESOME sense of humor. I LOVE that. This is GREAT!!! I wish them the best, this video is awesome.
I started listening to Metallica when I was 10 years old, but when I was 5 years old, my older brother had a cassette with some songs, there was the song Fear of the dark, I remember, and on that cassette there was an instrumental song that I liked the most and I didn't know his name. I turned 10 and took all the Metallica albums and went in line to look for it hoping they were performing that song and luckily I found it! Orion, Orion, Orion, 100x Orion. Their song is still my favorite to this day. I love trash metal and the first 4 albums are my favorite because it's that real fast aggressive hard powerful Metallica with godlike riffs that spewed fire. Every real Metallica fan will say that Metallica lost their DNA after 1989, the Black album is the best album, but it's just a commercial album made for the masses and fools and if theirs is the best and best selling (I know a lot about Metallica, it's 100x better than today children, because I even wrote a seminar paper about them). All on one side of the scale, Metallica bought me for my whole life! Kill em all, the fastest speed album of all time. Ride the lighting no2 the best trash album of all time. Puppets no1 trash metal album of all time and best trash song of all time. Justice is the hardest album to play in all of metal music, it's just the hardest and the hardest riffs. Black, the best, the best selling, the biggest success, the prime of their career, the album that gathered 1.8 million people in Moscow. Every other album is irrelevant, even if the songs Bleeding me and Unforgiven 2 are very dear to me. Ulrich, for me, is the best drummer of all time. Some people can't even listen to it for 2 minutes, but I can for a lifetime. You my brother gave Metallica DNA! James, no1 rhythm guitar, the man played flawlessly in his prime! God of trash metal music! Maybe a Michael Jordan will be born again, but someone like you won't! You are the Nikola Tesla of metal music! Burton no1 Metallica bass guitar. Newsted = energy, you are my favorite. Robert, the bass guitar dad! No1 metal band in the history of music, everyone else is watching your back! Thank you for making my childhood beautiful! I loved even the St Anger album, even not being the best one of them, I understood the context of the songs. Metal fans are sucks hahaha always complaining and doing absolutely nothing
The Load/Reload/St Anger phase was probably the most I ever drifted from Metallica. Then Death Magnetic brought them back into my sphere and Hardwired sealed the deal. Killer album. Ride the Lightning came out when I was a senior in high school and Kirk/James are the one's that made me get a guitar. The Call of Ktulu stands today as my favorite metal song of all time.

Glad to see them doing this, they're all looking healthy too! Last time I seen them live was in 2017. Wonder if this was recently recorded tho. Edit: maybe? Idk hard to tell anymore lol

I was a Metallica fan at 17, living in eastern EU, I am 44 now living in NA, have a family and amazed to see current 17 year olds with a Metallica shirt on, so yeah, I am still one of those headbanger Metallica fans. Every single Metallica album is a timeless masterpiece. Your music will live way beyond our century! Peace

Metallica you don’t suck I’ve been a fan of you since I was in the second grade you’re my favorite band ever please keep making more songs
I've been listening to Metallica since the early eighties when they 1st came out they had some great albums, and they had some so-so albums, and then they've had reload album. Every group or artist has the good and the bad if you good loyal
fans, you take the good along with the bad.
I loved that album, two of my fav songs are on it!
The Black Album was and still IS AWESOME!!
They jealous.. I love you guys.. always will.. xo
The Black Album is what first lured me into the world of Metallica. I STILL love it! Been a die hard fan ever since. Everything they do is AWESOME! 👍🤘
Glad to see them doing this, they're all looking healthy too! Last time I seen them live was in 2017. Wonder if this was recently recorded tho. Edit: maybe? Idk hard to tell anymore lol

Melhor banda de todos os tipos vocês são bons de mais amo vocês. O dia que o Metallica deixar de existir acabou a graça do rock
I have been a fan since 86' Lars influenced me to play drums 🥁. I wanted Tama drums just like his set back then when I was 3rd grade. Every album they came out with I learned on drums 🥁 as the years went on. I still cover there songs on my drums to this day🤘😎🤘
I love it how the synchronise each other
