    My buddy of 45 years died suddenly....I nicknamed him Johnny Rotten 40 years ago. He played bass in a local band and told me one night he didn;t feel well. He was dead in a week....I miss Johnny Rotten so much. Yes , Rock n Roll will never die.

    All These Foolish people that think this song is about Kurt Cobain. fools! This song was written before Kurt Cobain even picked up a guitar. the "king" he's referring to is Elvis Presley. and for those of you who don't know Neil Young has been recording since way back in the sixties when he was in a band called Crosby Stills Nash... And Young. also please note Neil Young much like myself is a very proud Canadian.

      Savanna Bloom
      What does age ever have to do with anything?
      Also, your difference in opinion can not be deemed absolute, although many would disagree with current generation pop music like yourself, you are preaching amongst a group of like-minded people who will almost certainly agree with you. Music is sound-art, it doesn't matter what combination of sounds you have, or who is responsible, what's important is that the listener is enjoying it regardless of how it got there. Those modern pop-stars, although maybe not entirely responsible for their own success, are associated with music that many people around the world just so happen to enjoy.
      Even if I am not so fond of the current business practices involved in producing it, and advertising it...
      There really is no right or wrong with music... after all, the value is only determined by us humans.

    • @Lidya-hx8rp
      @Lidya-hx8rp 10 років тому +3

      i do know I'm actually disagreeing with myself whilst saying this, but i do know that you are right. music is art, and art is free to the world and free in mind. art has no direction it goes where it leads you. i just don't know anybody in my age listening to this kind of music, especially neil young, and i don't know why. all these popstars of the present time are just misleading , and advertising all the wrong things in my opinion. I didn't mean to offend or judge any of their songs, i was more referring to their attitude, and the behavior and things they are putting out there for all these young children to see. i can't judge their music, because i don't actually ever listen to it, the most of the knowledge i have, is drawn to the things that are published by media, the things that you can't avoid seeing
