I wonder if you could do a similar video about Ozempic, including the known side effects and risks? I found this video to be very detailed and educational. Thank-you.
I started on berberine at the end of August last year. I noticed a difference in my waist line after about 3 weeks. I’m probably down 25lbs. No digestive issues with it.
Ive been taking berberine for a month Berberine has changed my life , to the point i cried tears of happiness cause i had some major gut issues, inflammation gone , digestive system works amazing, no siatica anymore cause it all had to do with inflammation, I really can’t believe how good i feel , bloating & gas is gone ,i felt results in my gut digestive within 1 dose , i wish I would have found out about this sooner
My insulin resistance stack 1. Melatonin 2. Vitamin D 3. Magnesium 4. Berberine 5 Sulforaphane 6. Vitamin B6/P5P 7. Dandelion Root Water Only Fast 2-3 days Weight loss confirmed Less water weight retention confirmed FYI: Dandelion Root is game changer for excess water retention. Nothing has ever reduced my water retention like Dandelion Root. Miracle Herb.
@@kennedy9359 I have done some research on the different types of Magnesium and here is what I found Oxide - doesn’t have a very good absorption so if using it needs to be taken all throughout the day. Citrate - is not recommended as it interferes with Ceruloplasmin which regulates the balance between Iron and copper. It can cause Iron deregulation and health issues. Glycinate - is great as it is very calming and should be taken before bed. It absorbs well through the intestine so has no laxative effect. Malate - is very energizing so good for when exercising and absorbs well. Sulfate - which is basically epsom salts and is best to use in the bath. Orotate/Taurate - fabulous as it absorbs straight into the cells for overall health, energy and is also very good for cardiovascular health. Threonate - fabulous as it helps with mental health, brain injuries, PTSD, anxiety and depression also with short and long term memory. Chloride - good for detoxing, metabolic function and kidney function. It only has a 12% absorption rate however it is very potent so has a nice general flow.
I was trying to lose about 15-25 lbs and wasn’t willing to take shots or any of that. I started about a year ago now and ended up losing 20 lbs in about 6 months. I still take it and have had no issues as of yet. 💪 I recommend it.
I had a phone call today from my doctor to find out what I have done differently for my cholesterol. In less than a month on dihydroberberine my levels are now normal. They have been high for years. I take a small dose and it hasn't even been a full month yet. She no longer wants to put me on a statin and said to keep on doing what I am doing. I am a believer.
That's interesting because the same thing happened to me. Extremely high cholesterol that is now normal within a short period of time, maybe one month, on berberine. I had also recently began HRT, so I don't know if that or the combination of the two was what brought my numbers to normal levels. Menopause can cause cholesterol to skyrocket due to estrogen loss. Regardless, I will continue to do both. As far as weight loss, there hasn't been any because my eating is horrible, lol. With that being said, it definitely was NOT my diet that was effecting my cholesterol levels.
Started on standard keto diet after my doctor thought it might help my compounding metabolic disease symptoms, and now do a protein heavier keto. Have been taking berberine for 18 months 500mg x 3/day. Part of a supplement regimin that includes coq10 and acv. Never hit my weight goal, but went from 330 to 190. After two consecutive "good" blood tests and holding at new weight, my doctor stopped the cholesterol, glucose, and one of two bp meds I was on. I still struggle with weight training, but walking and climbing stairs got a lot easier.
I've been taking the dihydroberberine for about 5 months now .... as a replacement for Ozempic. Ozempic did not accomplish much with me except in making me nauseous all the time. The Super Berberine is not the only thing I do to accomplish improvements in health and blood glucose levels. I just finished an extensive panel of blood work and my doctor now asserts that I am no longer "prediabetic". I will continue to take the Super Berberine and work on my weight. I have always been working in the gym 3x per week.
Berberine helped reduce my glucose levels... blood test pre-fast blood test my glucose was 140..... after taking berberine.... pre-fast glucose was down to 97..... after fasting it was 93.... I swear it has help me reduce my BP meds as well...
Great video, excellent information. Your presentation style is spot on. No droning on and on but you also don’t talk so fast that you have to run it back to catch what you said.
For me I have tried both with testing my glucose and ketone. Without a doubt Berberine works better for me than Dihydroberberine. Using Dihydroberberine at a lower dose absolutely didn't lower my glucose. I had to use same 1000 mg and berberine didn't have any issues with stomach. So still using berberine have lost 15 pounds in 20 days. When I started my glucose 120 and now I'm in my 90.
Berberine is a good antioxidant and I took it for years for PCOS management BUT I recently learned that Berberine can cause heart palpitations. Be careful! Our bodies change over time and palpitations are miserable and painful! Had to go thru tests and my heart is healthy.
I started taking berberine a few months ago to try to lower my ldl & triglycerides. My cravings were reduced & to date I've lost 13 pounds. My doctor ordered a treadmill stress test. At the end of the test they saw an irregularity with my heartbeat. Now that you've mentioned this I wonder if it could have been caused by the berberine??? 🤔
I've been using berberine for nearly 30 days....the greatest thing is that I expelled intestinal Parasites 😮......I had been experiencing severe abdominal pain supposedly from IBS.....with research I discovered that berberine could have been what exposed the Parasites.....I will tell you it was ugly 😢......Praise God that I've been treated and the pain is gone, blood sugar is down and appetite has lessened. I've not had any weight loss but it had been less than 30 days😊 .....Thank you ❤️ I will definitely try Dihydroberberine.
Wow thanks sharing your benefits with this herb. It seems to be a multipupose herb. I think we all have some parasites that need to dealt with. I would not want to try the hydrogenated or esterfied form berberine because of how hydrogenated fats mess with our system ; especially the gut.
I've been taking berberine for almost 6 months. I've only lost about 6 or 7lbs😢 but the most surprising thing that has happened to me is my eye sight seems to have improved. I went for an eye test this week and I've gone from -5.00 to -4.00 (I'm terribly short sighted). I'm hoping for better weight loss and not to wear glasses in the near future. I'll try the dihydro berberine once my 3 bottles of regular berberine is finished
Thank you dear doctor for such wonderful live saving videos. I take Berberine for my diabetes and will definitely make the change to this new version of Berberine! God bless you and keep you 👏🏼
Thanks for the information. I’ve been taking regular Berberine for over a year. 500 mg a.m. and p.m. after the paper came out that it reduced carotid artery plaque. Fortunately, I have none there but do in both legs and one arm as well as bipassed arteries after stents 8 years ago. I am stable. I’ve lost 20 lbs. My a1c was reduced from the 6’s to the 5’s, my blood pressure went to normal even though I had been (and am) still taking 2 blood pessure meds. Hunger is limited as before I was always hungry, even on high protein, medium fat, low carb diet. I had gone vegan for a year before then and got fatter and sicker. I am able to do time restricted eating (16/8) now since I’m not as hungry and did my first 36 hour water only fast last week. Previously I ate very healthily, exercised and saw my doctor every 6 months. I have taken L-glutamine 2,000 mg for 3 years and that had stopped the intense sugar craving, DL-Phenylalanine and Alpha Lipoic Acid supplements for vitiligo and diabetic nerve pain have been in my diet for 10 years and wow, they have ended the skin sloughing and nerve pain (thanks to my neurologist for telling me to take them). Looking on Amazon, the Dihydroberberine is 4-6 times more expensive per month than the regular I take. Since I am happy where I am I will nit be switching. Others may need the stronger dose.
How were you able to go back to eating meat? I ate ketogenic for a whole year and while the rest of my family lost weight I gained a whopping 49 lbs! I went vegan about 3 months ago and had lost 6 lbs. it wasn’t easy. But then after some blood tests, my doctor said I needed to go on insulin at which point I started gaining weight again! I’m so frustrated right now and just ready to give up! I just can’t see myself going back to eating meat!😯

I use Berberine HCL among other herbs. I've lost nearly 50 lbs though I've also adjusted my eating, do exercise. I'm 67 and take other medications for high blood pressure. I was prescribed a statin which I no longer take. I'm having blood work done soon, so I'll know whether my regime is working in reducing cholesterol. I'm within healthy ranges now via the last results about 7 months ago. My A1C went from 6.9 to 5.6. Berberine HCL is easier on the digestive system and easier to absorb due to the hydrochloride salt, which makes it more absorbable. I'll check out the Dihydroberberine though. Thank you! I currently take 500 mg of Berberine HCL twice per day. One at mid day with a meal and one at night with Magnesium Taurate, Krill Oil and occasionally 5mg of Melatonin. I also use cinnamon, drink green tea and Yerba Mate tea, I use lots of Turmeric and other herbs. I read that Dihydroberberine is a downstream metabolite of berberine so it has the same cellular effects as berberine hcl. As a plant alkaloid, it impacts several signaling pathways including AMP-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor KB (3) (there are many others but these are the most prominent).
IMO Berberine works to keep by A1C down in the 4s and as someone who took a max dose of Metformin for over 10 yrs this is good ! Now also trying Berberine Phytosome for the first time. Not mentioned but if cancer feeds on sugar it would be another reason to take Berberine
I am very interested in subbing bererine to eliminate metformin which blocks B1. B1 is essential to all function. Over 30 years taking Metformin and it has caused GI problems, chronic fatigue, muscle wasting and others related to B1 deficiency. Glad to hear it's possible to do this.
@@lisastrozzieri9043 I quit cold turkey in 2018 due to Stage 4 Chronic Kidney disease. I was informed that it has a causal relationship. By quitting when my A1C was in the low 6s and by cutting going Keto I got my A1C down one time in the mid 4s. VA said that was too low. I still take 3 berberine pills daily and it still works .Yes B1 is essential. PS-now Stage 1 CKD.
I’m taking betberine . I buy the powder and make my own caps this saving $$ I just looked on Amazon and found the Dihydroberberine powder . I will try it out to see how it works out for me. Thanks for pointing this out .
Just make sure the powder is not made in China because quality of control and food safety are seriously compromised in China. Hope you find the right recipe in your journey to better health, the best luck.
I have used bulk supplements and other various sellers on Amazon . Yes as mentioned I avoid the Chinese made brands . I have had an organic Indian brand but it’s been awhile and I forgot the name. Hope that helps. Peace always 🙏
@@lindabuyshouses Always looking for something better. Berberine worked slowly, I am hoping Dyhydro will work better. So far it seems to be impacting appetite more. Otherwise no significant side effects.
This! I dropped about 80 lbs in 1 1/2 years starting in June of 2018. Went from an 18 to an 8. After about 8 months people that saw me all the time would stop me every week to ask what was I doing to lose weight.
I've been taking Berberine for about 2 weeks, 500-1000 mg daily. I don't have a scale, so I can't really give a number, but my belly is flatter. I'm having a distinct drop in my sugar cravings. I'll try the Dihydroberberine once I finish my bottle. I'll be going in for bloodwork soon, so it'll be interesting to see if that and my blood sugar have improved.
Something not in the video is the mechanism of action. Berberine works similar to metformin. It blocks the first receptor of the oxidation respiration chain in the mitochondria. This stymies its ability to produce energy. The mitochondria creates more mitochondria to alleviate the issue. The reason this is important is the most common side effect it initial lack of energy or temporary weakness. THIS IS NORMAL FUNCTION and will get better.

Is this why some people consider berberine a mitochondrial toxin? What is the optimal dose - as it seems to make a difference that the dose remain "low."

Dear doctor personally i haven't use it however a nice American lady who suffers from Cushing syndrome been taking it for 2 years and my god she swears tis helped her so much progressing in her health and therapy
I started taking for the past few months to help me cut weight, and I definitely some changes in blood sugar afterwards, I want to actually start measuring these things for the future 😊❤️🙏
A friend with cushings syndrome was checked was found to have a non cancerous tumour growth on her kidney. Once this was removed, her health returned to normal within two months.
I’ve been on Berberine for 6 months have changed nothing and I’m down 10 pounds. I’m waiting to have bloodwork done to see if I’ve got any benefits ie lower cholesterol other than that I’m happy anyway
People who live into their 80s 90s and beyond have high cholesterol levels. You do not want low numbers as your body weight is 2% cholesterol and your brain is 25% cholesterol. Cholesterol is what your body uses to make repairs everywhere so why would you want to lower your natural repair systems… Do not take medication’s that interfere with it such as statins. Statins accelerate your entire aging process and concentrate on the brain which leads to dementia.
Just started last week. Both my husband and i are taking a supplement that encludes only 600 mg of berberine as well as tumeric, acv, cinnamon, and gymnema. So far feeling much better as far as mood and feeling like getting my/our health bk in shape.
I’m taking 500 3 times per day Berberine I walk 1 hour per day but what’s been helping me loose weight is I fast for 18 hours and half a 6 hour eating timeline. I’m loosing about 1 pound every two days.
Berberine has lowered my Hgba1c and glucose. Reversed my insulin resistance. Insulin level before berberine was 22, after 3 months insulin was 13. Big improvement

@@regina6838 did 1100 mg for a bit then did 1100 mg twice a day. Slightly better glucose control. Going to try 550 mg twice a day and see how that works. Had Dr order me a Libre 2 so I can spot check glucose levels and see what foods spike my glucose without sticking fingers every time an eat or snack on something. So I did it as a teaching tool for me to try and modify diet to keep from having spikes. Have had for 3 1/2 months and have only gone over 200 half a dozen times with highest about 245 I think. But quickly came down.

So I tried a different brand and it was to take 3X daily with meals with no stomach issues. I added Living well gummies now to never get constipated again. This brand was berberine with milk thistle by EzyAbsorb. I got on amazon but they always run out quick.
After first it was nausea and diarrhea then it turned the other way. I will try different brands I guess, I've been taking it once a day. Been on it over a month but no weight loss or lowered blood sugars. Maybe it won't work for me like it does for many others.
I tried berberine for the health benefits and after a few weeks of 500 mg daily hit super bad GI issues. I stopped and within 2 days the symptoms left. I started taking dihydroberberine instead (200mg morning and 100mg evening) and I feel amazing! Also no more stomach issues 🙌🏼 grateful for this product!! I feel like I look more toned even tho the scale doesn’t really show a difference, my stomach feels better than ever and I have more energy overall 🙏 does wonders for cramps and menstrual cycle too.. try it 👍
I am eating Kero and taking Berberine which has helped me to keep my A1c 5.2 for over a year now. However i find i need more of the berberine so i will now include Dihydroberine lets see if that works. My highest a1c was 5.6.
Are you thinking you will INCLUDE as in “add” Dihydroberberine or do mean swap out your reg BERBERINE for Dihydroberberine? Just curious if you have any GI issues on reg berberine as well. Thank appreciate a response, am grateful.
Hi it’s been a month. How do you feel and have you lost weight and appetite? I’m wanting to buy this brand. Natures true 2,000mg berberine with Ceylon cinnamon did almost nothing for me. 😅
I just started taking dehydroberberine in July 2024. I was diagnosed with pre diabetes two years ago. I was taking Berberine 500 mg. I don’t tolerate the higher dose R/T HA around the temples. My A1c went down to 5.7. I want to add that I just recently been noticing neck pain and I’m not quite sure if it’s related to the dehydro berberine. I’m taking Tylenol at night for relief.
I switched from berberine to dihydroberberine about 6 months ago. I keep losing weight due to following a healthy diet that fights inflammation. But berberine can't hurt.
Same here. I’ve been taking natures truth 2,000 mg with Ceylon cinnamon 1-2x a day with lunch and dinner. And havnt seen weight loss or a lower appetite.
If I'm remembering correctly you can get almost the same improved absorption by pairing regular berberine with milk thistle, and of course milk thistle is by itself great for your liver.

I’ve been taking Dihydroberberine for over 6 months now and while I unfortunately haven’t lost any weight my blood sugar levels are lower than before I gained the weight. As much as I want to lose weight, I am happy it is possibly keeping me from becoming diabetic while I continue to search for help in losing weight. My next step is surgery as diet and exercise aren’t working. I only eat twice a day, small breakfast and a healthy dinner. My body just won’t lose this weight though. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I’ve taken berberine the last 6 months and my LDL on a KETO diet went down from 250 to 220 still high but did go in the right direction. Definitely take it after a carb cheat meal to blunt the blood glucose spike.
Wow that is amazing, for sure I'm seeing the same thing personally, and the meta analysis studies are actually really good compared to what I believed in the past!
Metformin stopped working for me, but my doctor didn’t pick it up 😢 I was told to take a double dosage. Suffered high blood glucose for months with a painful liver, skin breakouts and constipation and couldn’t figure out why. It was fluctuating between 13 and 6.6, mostly hovering around 11, 12. That’s very high for me. Switched to Berberine a few days ago and the pain in my liver is gone, digestion is better, waiting for glucose levels to go down now. I didn’t know that your body can actually reject Metformin, so hoping that Berberine is the solution.
I lost weight on berberine but i tooknit for my cholesterol. And it did wonders for that. I recommend it to everyone i know who has cholesterol issues. Because statin drugs have so many negative side effects. I for one had several disturbing reactions to the statin meds.

@@gogirl8045 who was buying my berberine from swansons vitamins. But I am recently trying another one to see if that one is better it's hiring berberine so I don't have to take so many pills. So far no real change in how I feel just less pills to take. But I actually just started the these new ones. But I bought them on Amazon. They are a complex, so they have other things in them like cinnamon & other things. But statins can confuse the mind and they can make it to the communication between your legs and your brain not work so good. So I was losing my ability to walk. Which I had just gained back, after having been sick in my oxygen down to 30%. And we noticed the same in my father who had had two strokes and trying to walk. He was having trouble walking we thought it was The strokes. After learning he was on a statin drug, I told his doctor I was switching it to berberine. His cholesterol went right down & and he was able to walk. The ability to communicate from the brain what he wanted to do was restored. Not only in his feet but in his hands so he could hold a glass. He was getting frustrated cuz he couldn't figure out why he couldn't hold on to a glass. But that was just our personal experience. No scientific backing as to the side effects of satin drugs. I think it affected us more because we're older. My dad is 89 & I am 64.
I've taken berberine about 6 months in addition to citrus bergamot. Some change in blood work, not enough to get my Dr off my case. 270 cholesterol, no weight loss.
600 mg berberine hcl for 6 months dropped my a1c from 5.7 to 5.5. I've upped the frequency to twice a day, we'll see if that drops it more in a few months.
First off, I take LIQUID berberine, because liquid is better absorbed into the cells versus taking a capsule or tablet when you take a capsule or tablet only 30% is absorbed into your cells while the rest will sit in your gut in your stomach so I would love to know if this other berberine you're speaking on today in this video comes in liquid form. I'm unable to find a liquid form of this other berberine. Do you have any suggestions? Also I don't believe it's good to buy anything on Amazon when it comes to supplements because you really don't know what you are getting when you buy it on Amazon if it's a supplement. Thank you for your video
Concerning not buying supplements on Amazon.. take NOW supplements for example.. NOW IS NOW.. whatever brand your buying, just make sure it is lining up with the same brand and it will take you to that brands Amazon page. No different if you buy it from Amazon or Iherb.
I have been researching the liquid form of Berberine, and I too would love to know if the "Super Berberine" comes in liquid form. What brand are you taking and what results have you experienced? Also, I like that you warned about buying from Amazon. @DrTomBiemacki...No disrespect to this channel, but I just watched a video on another channel entitled: 27 Berberine Brands Lab Tested. It provided some alarming information on some name brands that contained zero percent (0 %) of Berberine despite being marketed as good quality Berberine. The takeaway is #BuyerBeware
I've been trying several supplements for prediabetes; ACV, cinnamon, berberine, turmeric, gymnema Sylvestre, and some others. I just started taking ALMA and it really has helped in a short period. I want to get off melatonin and a statin. I need to research to see what the best mix is.
Yeah I’m actually taking it for leaky gut( chronic diarrhea and nutrient malabsorption). It’s working marvelously and starting to get some freedom back! I’ve read such great things about caster oil which can help with chronic constipation … please look it up - you can ingest it orally, or place in belly button with a bandage overnight. Or using a caster oil abdominal pack. I really wish I could take it as it has seemingly endless medical helps! Good luck / God bless!
I take a berberine blend that has cinn, turmeric, bitter melon and milk thistle. I am on my 2nd bottle. I started taking 2 a day but take 1 now with evening meal. I eat 2x per day within a 5 hour window except Sat and Sunday I will eat breakfast if hub is home and cooks it, lol. I have less gut issues and less belly bloat. I don't know about blood sugar as I don't check it. My weight is within normal range but I had to do IF to get it there after the menopause weight gain.

@@kdxrp7912 thanks I have tried but need to work with a dietitian as blood sugar control is an issue. I am having terrible issues with bloat constipation etc waiting to see a specialist. What is the drink you purchase or is it made by yourself?
@@katsm-wo9704 I only drink water or Black Coffee. IF only really works if you stick to those 2 drinks. Low calorie or diluted juice will both break fasting. IF should work if done probably.
I was taking Berberine for several months. I was not someone who was severely overweight by any means. I am 64 & very active. I had been losing weight since my mom died 2.5 years ago. When I started Berberine primarily for blood sugar & cholesterol, I began losing more weight & body fat. I'm 5'2" on a good day & am 113 lbs. My doctor told me back in August not to lose any more weight, so I backed off of the Berberine to give my body a break. I am due for bloodwork in Dec. I am not diabetic but for some reason my blood sugar at my last blood work was 102. I am normally under 100. My doctor checked my AIC which was 5.2 & my fasting insulin was well within normal limits. So, I was a bit panicked over the 102-blood sugar & started on the Berberine. My cholesterol had been a bit high, but not outrageous & my doctor said I do not have high cholesterol, nor do I need meds. All I can say is I really shed the pounds & body fat taking 1000mg a day. I've taken a break from the berberine for now & may start again after my blood work if need be. I did have some stomach upset, so I took with food. I have a sensitive stomach & have gastritis which is under control at the moment.
I took berberine for a few weeks and didn't notice anything different with my glucose. I went to get more at the store and purchased dihydroberberine mistakenly not knowing the difference. I took 2 capsules 3x a day like regular berberine. I got very sick because I didn't understand the increased potency.... I haven't taken it long enough to know it's effects on my blood sugar yet.
If you are taking Dihydroberberine or liposomal berberine, you should take approximately 100-300 mg daily, splitting the doses over the day. Remember, berberine effects lasted only four hours, whereas Dihydroxyberberine lasts eight hours, so splitting it into three doses over the day will basically ensure maximum effects.
I'm already in decent shape, so I can't speak for weight loss, but Berberine has made a vast improvement with my IBS that I've dealt with half my life.
What hidden sugars are in your diet though? If there is still pasta, rice, white bread, pastry, pizza etc etc then there may not be much of a difference
Okay I’m at the end of my first week on 500gm berberine per day and have been taking thus before my first meal with the aim of reducing my glucose spikes. What I found taking one tablet a day is that between 10-3 I felt no glucose spikes after eating and my appetite had reduced. I was mindful eating during my meals. I found though by meal two before my 6pm IF curfew I then started to crave sweet (not good for me). Today I’ve topped up to 2 x 500gm capsules 30 min before my two protein and veg fuelled meals. I definitely need minimum 2 capsules given how berberine has a short window in your system. I’ll see how I sleep tonight niw that I’ve stopped eating for the day (18.15). I’ve not noticed any weight loss or inches given I’ve only just begun this journey. I’m having to be mindful of keeping carbs down but not avoiding them. I’m eating my veg then protein then carbs last. Also have vit D3 with K2 and having pumpkin seeds and seed combo before taking vitamin. I’m trying to feel my way through this.
What I'd like to know is, what companies make these supplements? I heard a lot can be traced back to big pharma, who I do not trust. Thank you if someone out there knows and answers me.
I think it's annoying to call berberine " nature's Ozempic". It is a great supplement that has helped my husband and I wish we would've known about this 10 years ago. I've been taking take berberine max twice a day for several months and the weight loss has been very, very slow. I am a 56 year old woman,5'8" and started at 151. I'm finally seeing the scale move to 147 today. I workout with a trainer 3 days a week doing resistance training and cardio. I went from intermittent fasting to OMAD. This is the first time I've never heard of this other of kind of berberine. Thanks for a great video. 😊
Awesome video. It helps with my mental issues. Could you talk about its affect on mental health or cognitive enhancement properties like its affect on acetylcholine in hippocampus etc. or its affect on kyrurine :) thanks big man
I’ve taken berberine but it did nothing to help BG, insulin resistance, inflammation but I have malabsorption issues. I’m wondering this new derivative that’s absorbed in the gut wouldn’t work either.
Since taking Berberine my appetite has gone way down and my fasting blood sugars are also downdown.🎉 I tried diphydroberberine but did not get the appetite reduction results I got with regular Berberine. That’s me, others may have different results.
I took high doses of berberine last year as an antimicrobial against small intestine bacterial overgrowth, and I found that I lost 12 lbs after a month. Nice side effect. Sounds as though this new form would not be best for us chronic SIBO patients however.
What if you have issues with hypoglycemia and low weight already? Will this just help insulin resistance and not make the hypoglycemia and low weight worse? Or will this affect these issues only if needed ie high blood sugar or obesity? I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the information. I have been looking at Berberine a while but the fact that it lowers blood sugar and helps you loose weight, both of which I don't need, kept me from trying it. I want to take it because of the insulin resistance and a high insulin level.
I just tried Berberine for a month. I'm in pretty good shape and very active. I experienced a slight apatite suppression (less desire to eat) but more of a feeling of hunger. I had slight increase in energy but also slight stomach discomfort. Never lost a bit of weight. I might try it again, or the dihydroberberine, in the future.
I love your videos, just found you the other day. I’ve got a lot of tightness in the back of my ankle, legs and back. I looking into the orthotics, braces and shoes but I didn’t feel like trail/hiking shoes were showed. I play disc golf and those are kind of the go to for me. It would be nice to see more shoes in that category if you have any good recommendations.

I've been taking dihydroberberine. It seems to be lowering my A1C, ldl and hdl improved also. I saw a lady on a UA-cam show the other day that said berberine caused her heart attack. Do you know if it can harm your heart? I got afraid to take it after I saw that.

@@kennedy9359 I have done some research on the different types of Magnesium and here is what I found
Oxide - doesn’t have a very good absorption so if using it needs to be taken all throughout the day.
Which type of magnesium?

I started taking Berberine in November 23 I had a physical in February and all of my numbers had improved.

Can you take Berberine while on a statin?
Which brand do you use? Where did you purchase it?
That's interesting because the same thing happened to me. Extremely high cholesterol that is now normal within a short period of time, maybe one month, on berberine. I had also recently began HRT, so I don't know if that or the combination of the two was what brought my numbers to normal levels. Menopause can cause cholesterol to skyrocket due to estrogen loss. Regardless, I will continue to do both. As far as weight loss, there hasn't been any because my eating is horrible, lol. With that being said, it definitely was NOT my diet that was effecting my cholesterol levels.

Did you take Berberine on an empty stomach or after a meal?
How were you able to go back to eating meat? I ate ketogenic for a whole year and while the rest of my family lost weight I gained a whopping 49 lbs! I went vegan about 3 months ago and had lost 6 lbs. it wasn’t easy. But then after some blood tests, my doctor said I needed to go on insulin at which point I started gaining weight again! I’m so frustrated right now and just ready to give up! I just can’t see myself going back to eating meat!😯

I followed the link and can't find it under 18$
He did mention some can be found for less...
Potassium lowers blood pressure.
I’ve been taking dihydroberberine for 4 weeks in addition to daily exercise and mindful eating. I’ve lost 3 pounds.
What are you eating mindfully for such an insignificant amount of weight loss over a period of 4 weeks?
That's better than gaining. And it is healthier to lose slowly.
3 lbs. Whoopty doo. Are you being sarcastic. Thats pathetic.

IMO Berberine works to keep by A1C down in the 4s and as someone who took a max dose of Metformin for over 10 yrs this is good ! Now also trying Berberine Phytosome for the first time. Not mentioned but if cancer feeds on sugar it would be another reason to take Berberine
Im a daily taker of berberine right now, reasonable cost and proven results at this point (although not on its own, but an aid)
Good mention...that cancer feeds off sugar. Everyone needs to kick that sugar habit. (and carbs too, for that matter.)
No. You need to just stop eating sugar
I still take 3 berberine pills daily and it still works

So I tried a different brand and it was to take 3X daily with meals with no stomach issues. I added Living well gummies now to never get constipated again. This brand was berberine with milk thistle by EzyAbsorb. I got on amazon but they always run out quick.

I was about to buy it, but now I'm going to be getting the dihydroberberine. So thank you. I am doing it for stomach health, than for losing weight.

Yep I saw a test study where NOW Berberine has the full MG’s where as most other brands have only a percentage… people are getting ripped off
I have been researching the liquid form of Berberine, and I too would love to know if the "Super Berberine" comes in liquid form.
Beware, there are fakes on Amazon 😢. Lots of brand name dupes.
I've been trying several supplements for prediabetes; ACV, cinnamon, berberine, turmeric, gymnema Sylvestre, and some others. I just started taking ALMA and it really has helped in a short period. I want to get off melatonin and a statin. I need to research to see what the best mix is.
You need to take Bioperine and/or Milk Thistle with Berberine to get better absorption, I don't know how that affects the Dihydroberberine.
I had to STOP taking berberine because it gave me terrible constipation. So I would like to have an alternative
Update- had to stop using Berberine as it wasn’t working anymore for diarrhea- currently doing a parasite cleanse… we will see.

@@katsm-wo9704 I only drink water or Black Coffee. IF only really works if you stick to those 2 drinks. Low calorie or diluted juice will both break fasting. IF should work if done probably.
Huh. I just started taking berberine because it's a primary prebiotic for akkermansia. I think I'll stay on the whole herb extract for now.
Maybe try to lower dose and see since you have the tablets. Cheers to your health!
I never noticed a difference with berberine. Maybe i'll try the Dihydroberberine form instead. Thanks!

Try the “ double wood “supplements berberine
A1C down to 5.8, cholesterol down, lost weight ...berberine 500 mg 3x daily w/food for 1 yr. Just Recd ok to go off metformin. Still using victoza.
Is dieharderberberine secreted by Bruce Willis?
Huh???
That’s a BIG stretch, but I get it. 1 handclap for you👏🏾❤
😂😂
I think it's annoying to call berberine " nature's Ozempic". It is a great supplement that has helped my husband and I wish we would've known about this 10 years ago. I've been taking take berberine max twice a day for several months and the weight loss has been very, very slow. I am a 56 year old woman,5'8" and started at 151. I'm finally seeing the scale move to 147 today. I workout with a trainer 3 days a week doing resistance training and cardio. I went from intermittent fasting to OMAD. This is the first time I've never heard of this other of kind of berberine. Thanks for a great video. 😊
Can berberine be taken with Metformin, will they counter act or so supplement each other.
I have read you can take them together
Awesome video. It helps with my mental issues. Could you talk about its affect on mental health or cognitive enhancement properties like its affect on acetylcholine in hippocampus etc. or its affect on kyrurine :) thanks big man
I’ve taken berberine but it did nothing to help BG, insulin resistance, inflammation but I have malabsorption issues. I’m wondering this new derivative that’s absorbed in the gut wouldn’t work either.
I’ve found that some brands are useless so, give it a try
Since taking Berberine my appetite has gone way down and my fasting blood sugars are also downdown.🎉 I tried diphydroberberine but did not get the appetite reduction results I got with regular Berberine. That’s me, others may have different results.
I took beberine for 6 weeks it help with insulin resistance on the other hand i gain 5 pounds. I walk 30 to 40 minute daily.
Same
Great information! TFS👍
I took high doses of berberine last year as an antimicrobial against small intestine bacterial overgrowth, and I found that I lost 12 lbs after a month. Nice side effect. Sounds as though this new form would not be best for us chronic SIBO patients however.
What brand did you use ?
@megm2023
Thanks for the valuable information.
Thanks for the information
It sounds like this a decent supliment to other healthy habbits.
Wonderful! I am glad that my video was helpful. I review various brands and types of shoes as often as I can. Selecting the best shoes and orthotics requires in-person evaluation and usually, it can not be completed remotely. Please, check the links to several of my videos on shoe and orthotics selection:

All the best to you!
Thank you for guidance
Just ordered it, I will let you know results. T2 and A1C test in April. I take Rybelsus & Metformin right now 🧐 regular Berberine didn’t work for me.
Waiting for the results.

Is Dihydroberberine ok for the liver?
That's good question
I wanna used but
I don't know if safe for kidneys and liver
yes it is! From the info I listened to from Dr. Eric Berg.. look it up on his channel!
What is better for lower blood sugar levels and cholesterol?
I've been taking dihydroberberine. It seems to be lowering my A1C, ldl and hdl improved also. I saw a lady on a UA-cam show the other day that said berberine caused her heart attack. Do you know if it can harm your heart? I got afraid to take it after I saw that.
Which brand do u use?
