It would be a lot easier if you buy a kit with a turbo but I wanted to build my own turbo. I’m happy with the results. The main concern of the kit is the drain fitting size, I would cut that out for peace of mind. I was afraid to use one of the vs racing turbos. I think it’s hit or miss with those. I would have gotten the g35 66 or 67mm turbo they offer, I can’t remember the exact size, but I really wanted to build my own since I have replacement parts on hand.

what sort of heat protection are you going to put on the hot side of the turbo to keep it from melting the valve cover?
The kit includes heat wrap for the valve cover. I also added a turbo blanket.
I can’t get my turbo smart wastegate on the speed tech top mount manifold the clamp won’t grab everything
