In this video we show how to remove the stock twin turbos from our 2007 BMW 335i and replace them with the Vargas OE Plus Replacement Turbos, including an upgraded 6x6 billet compressor wheel.
BMW N54 stock turbos are known to have a failing wastegates, which can be heard rattling, and failing oil seals, which causes smoke and oil consumption.
This job is fairly time consuming, but very achievable with the right tools, mechanical knowledge, and parts. The most difficult parts of the install are removing the front subframe, installing the silicone turbo inlet pipes, and keeping everything organized. Our video shows how to get it done with relative ease.
Hopefully this video helps with your install and saves an expensive trip to a mechanic. Please leave any questions about the install and we'll try to help.

It's this hard with a lift, support bars and all that. Imagine with a jack, crawling underneath like a molerat and my iPhone flashlight.
Alright so now we're gonna........... break out the MasterCard and pay the tech to do it.
DIY ?! Looks impossible for a do it yourself
YOOOO ITS ZACH FROM DONUT !!!!
After watching this video I don't think it would be right to deprive the technician at the Dealership of all that joy...
Thanks ecs, you've motivated me to work hard so I can pay a mechanic to do this job 😂
I can say that after watching this, I will be partaking in religious prayer, both morning and night asking god that my turbos last for as long as possible.
Donut media should feature this guy, he really knows his shit on HRSPRS
Is this the donut media guy?
Crazy to see that he’s gone full circle. Form installing twin turbos on a 335 to installing a turbo on a Miata.
this guy should do every install video from now on
just did mines. it was super easy.
Just finished replacing my turbos, oil pan gasket, engine mounts, and water pump/thermostat. Easily the most miserable weekend of my entire life.. But the video helped a lot!
Guys, this job really isn't too bad. You work your way up to stuff like this.
it's cool it only takes 30minutes to do this!
From personal experience, I can tell you that those “quick disconnects” for the coolant lines do not come off that easily
Gernan performance they said
Take 1: We're gonna take the turbos out of this 335.
I'm doing this job on a 5 series right now. It's amazing how the view changes being up on that lift instead of on jack stands.
