Do you think it’s worth buying something as expensive as this drone for your first since you’re gonna crash it fairly often or should you get a cheaper one to start? I really want this drone but I also don’t wanna feel like I wasted 700 if it breaks
I'm really impressed you included all the crash footage to really show how durable this drone is. the only thing i wish is to have an option in controllers when ordering. i would want the acutal controller eventually rather than just the motion controller.
That doesn't show how durable it is. He could have just got lucky. The fact is, if it breaks, you're not easily fixing it. Whether to take that risk is up to you and your wallet.
Fortunately I have no wife to hide from. However, I’m at 3 drones all DJI. FPV, mini 2, avata. I love each and imagine I’ll be grabbing another in a few months.
Husband getting upset and using sarcasm: “Yeah Hun, maybe you’re right! Maybe these drones ARE the most important thing in my life!! Is that such a horrific crime?!?! Just get off my back, ok?!” Wife: “ok Brett. If that’s how you really feel, then me and the kids will just take our broken hearts somewhere else…”
Welcome to FPV Jeven ! I did not see any content from the DJI FPV drone when it released but I certainly enjoyed this video. The most common reaction that I have seen from all the other content creators is the smile of the fun flight. Happy rippin' !
Who are you tho? 😂 A drone that is not easy to fix and cost lots of money from the start and to replace is not a good drone for beginners UNLESS those beginners have deep pockets. That's just logic.
@@dangerous8333 Well okay it's not perfect but is it a large improvement? I think, yes. obviously it's for the beginner who has tons of money to spend, otherwise you wouldn't even be looking at a digital system. No this drone is for the beginner who wants a drone that will withstand someone of an impact unlike the original fpv drone. I would also like to add that I wrote this before there were any known problems with yaw washout. Also I've flown the Avata but it does not my style I prefer to build my own and I fly hard
@@dangerous8333 Ok Dan, I've read a few of your not so affirming comments about the Avata. Give me an alternative drone with these features and great visuals for about the same price. My needs are different, I don't want to build one and I don't fly hard. To help you prescribe a drone for me, I want one mostly for careful exploration flying (with really sharp goggle visuals).
Daaaaammmnnnnn! Good thing I never bought the DJI FPV. As always….Great review Jeven! I always wanted to add a FPV to the toolbox and I think that this will be a perfect fit after watching this.
My flight time average with the motion controller 2 in normal mode is 11 minutes. I usually fly to about 30% battery because it will attempt to RTH at around 27% battery 7:01
I've just ordered my avata and very excited about that! I've been flying mini 3 pro for over a year now, I have flown the mini 3 in numerous locations, day and night for hundred of hours. The controller feels like second nature now, I've built an amazing muscle memory, so, I am ready for the FPV!! The only drawback is the loid noise of avata which will annoy many people, I know. I can only fly the avata in remote locations I think, just to be on the safe side, and that's a bit of a bummer! -:(
Never done FPV, well you did pretty dang good. After owning the 3DR Solo and doubling down on failure with the GoPro drone....I left the hobby and with the added regulations have basically given up on drones. I've been wanting to get back into it, under 250g for less red tape, but I'm very interested in FPV since frankly it looks a lot more fun. Thanks for the review...I just wish there was an actual US company that actually cares about competing with DJI but much like dash cams, security cams, 360 action cams....none of them fully satisfy.
Great video! I have the DJI Mini Pro 3 and I don't use it that much. Would you say the Avata 2 is a better drone overall? It certainly looks more fun, but is motion sickness likely? I'm seriously thinking about selling my Mini Pro and getting this.
The avata is amazing for getting into cinematic style fpv flying. It's not a freestyle drone. It's not built to do freestyle stuff. Its amazing when flown like a ciniwhoop.
Awesome shots buddy! I just started this new hobby of drone flying. Bought myself a DJI mini 3 pro and pretty happy. Maybe someday I will start with FPV Drone Flying aswell
Watching all these crashes is a weird experience after I just crashed my Mini 3 pro _once_ and the thing fell apart so hard that even the GPS module was flung out of it.
@@JevenDovey if that’s the case then that’s an improvement over the DJI FPV… one of the main complaints of that button with accidentally double tapping it cuts the motors
Within FPV does the drone move with your head like when you’re flying straight do you use the goggles to fly left and right? I hope this makes sense, I’m kinda stoned and enjoying the fpv drone footage.
17:15 could you elaborate more on the normal mode an 'normal done shots' with that drone. Can you also do top down shots, like following a street. One other thing. DJI says the drone supports 120fps recording in 2.7K, but I couldn't stop that setting when you showed the camera settings overlay. There was only 2.7k/100. Are there any other compromises when shooting in high FPS besides the lower resolution? Can you still use D-Cinelike at high FPS? Great video!
@@okbyee69 actually it's the other way around. The new light googles are limited to 100fps for some reason, while the older FPV 2 goggles can do 120fps. That's really unfortunate.
I want to know about the set up of the drone before flying it since it’s DJI. I have a feeling there’s a few things I need to do before I could fly it. Like the no fly zone. Getting permission to fly around close to the area. That’s my problem with flying these drones most of the time.
