I suffered the borderline disorder for over 23 years, with so much anxiety not until I came across psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment actually saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean.
Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms
Microdosing helped me get out of the pit of my worst depressive episode, a three year long episode enough to start working on my mental health
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Germany. Really need

The shroom experience stands as my most remarkable journey, an awe-inspiring encounter that left an indelible mark of amazement.

This is not the mushrooms I wanted but I’m not complaining
💀💀💀
I wamt to grow shelf fungi
Me too😂👍🏻

I've been spending time with the help of my son studying how to grow mushrooms after which we found a fantastic resource at gregs mushroom grower (check it out on google)
Thanks for adding the part about being able to clone the mycelium, most people don't mention that!
Yes you are right. It's good to know
Are those Psychedelics
rico MexicanEagle yeah oyster cubensis... 😳

I used this mushroom grow brand as an introduction to growing mushrooms. It was perfect. I then used the spawn after two fruitings to start a 5 gallon bucket. The 5 gallon bucket idea came from you! I love it; the bucket is now fruiting. I used pasteurized shredded paper as substrate, and soaked pistachio shells as air space/bulk in the substrate. I did have surface mold issues at first, until the mycelium took over, which I combatted by spraying several times daily with hydrogen peroxide 3%. Mold doesn't like the oxygen flush, but mycelium does. I actually had invested in a reptile fogger the first of this month; they work great!
My first experience with mushrooms was from Back to the roots and if I remember correctly they use mostly used coffee grounds as a substrate for oyster mushrooms
Great video!👏🏽 I wanted to add in case anyone hasn’t considered the value of said ‘chewy stems’ : oyster mushrooms have a wonderful medicinal component, therefore I would recommend drying, grinding to powder, & adding any part to pretty much anything, even capsulating them!😻🍄💞
I bought one of these a few months ago. It worked extremely well. Since then I divided it up and now have several towers of cultures. They just don't stop. I even tossed stems in a bucket where I keep used coffee grounds. Despite the lack of sterilization, they took over. I gave some 'back to the roots' kits away as gifts, but none of them have had much luck. Keep that humidity up, people.
How did you divide them and what did you use to create these towers? Can you get several harvests from one kit?
With all the stuff I’ve been ordering from Amazon, I’ve got a bunch of excess cardboard. I ripped up the cardboard, soaked it, and cut it in strips. Then I layered in some oyster stems. Thinking it’ll colonize in ten days or so. How did you feed yours?
@@Chris-vw9nw
Ripped up cardboard and cornhusks with some 'small animal bedding' made from paper had the fastest colonization for me. Also just plain straw. To get larger fruiting I'd add coffee grounds or birdseed, but then instead of just boiling it, I soak it in a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water because contamination seemed more likely.
@@gb8437
From one kit I get two big harvests. After that, just a few mushrooms pop up randomly.
To divide them I just broke apart some small chunks and layered them in some coffee cans with substrate. I drilled small holes in the cans. Straw or wood shavings seem less likely to get contaminated, but there's not as many nutrients in them. If you add other stuff like seeds or coffee grounds, sterilization is always a good thing. I'd just stack the coffee cans ontop of each other and cover with a plastic bag.
790 Robot Head Is it possible to continue the process indefinitely? Like to continue to create viable spawn? From your comments it seems like I’d need to eventually use coffee or seed for nutrition, rather than cardboard or paper...Thanks for your feedback
Just stumbled onto your channel as I am a chef and just now getting into growing mushrooms due to the lack of available mushrooms because of the covid-19
love your channel
definitely going to sub
I am planning to get a pearl and pink oyster kit from Back to the Roots soon to grow some mushrooms for the first time. I am quite excited for it.

Just bought my first growing kit and am really excited! This was so helpful, thanks so much!
Same, I got some lions mane. Anyhow, how’d it go?
Well shot video, more info than I expected and relaxing voice. You get my like
Thanks for the video. Just what I was looking for!
I suffer from anxiety but your videos are super calming and informative. I love it, as strange as it may be, it helps me a lot to listen to! It's just distracting enough to keep my attention, but serve as a calming background sound too. It helps that I love mushrooms and learning about them. XD

That's the video I was looking for! Thanks.
I’m so excited about finding your channel and I absolutely love mushrooms 🍄🥰!! New subscriber as of today and I’m going to try growing some mushrooms too!!🤗
Thank you for the nice explained video, my mushrooms grew really fast and there's just something magical about them
Excellent video explanation. My kit arrives tomorrow. Thank you
This video helped me a lot. The instructions that came with my kit were not entirely clear. I’m excited to get started!
Thank you for sharing! Love your videos! I like the stems too - the chewier the better! 🍄🍄🍄
I’m working on my second flush of oysters from that kit. Slow to come up the second time but I expected that. I’m also noticing that the block won’t absorb much water. I think the substrate they use contains coffee grounds and I definitely see wood chips in it.
Can you regrow after harvesting.
Thank you, this video really helped me. You said they grew in about eight days. I've been struggling with my kit for about eight months! But your video gave me some ideas.
Thanks again.
Love the video! How humid is too humid? What is a comfortable temperature range for the mushrooms?
Nice..I want to try..☺♥

This channel is awesome 🍄❤️
I used the psylocybin version of this kit
👆👆👆Just look up that handle, he ship Swiftly, and he got shrooms, dmt, Lsd mmda, Psilocybin infused chocolate bar😊
I like these kits. B to the R is a good company, IMO. Easy gateway into growing. Nice comprehensive video.
I agree, easy gateway to get people started! Teaches the basic skills. Glad you like the vid :)
Just so happy 😊 thanks once again mycomushie you sells the best
Nice video Tony! 👍
Tried the mushroom kits 2 times. First time was pretty successful. Second one bit that much. I had a huge problem with fruit flies invading the substrate mushroom block
Also I had less success reusing the substrate block. The caps were way smaller when I reused it on the other side. And I wish there was more information on reusing the block dozens of times
What is the huge mushroom mounted on the wall in the background?! Is it real? Very cool 🤩🍄✨
Great information - In one of the videos with the Kit you mention being able to cut a part off and use it to fire up more starts - I am new to mushroom growing - picked up that same kit waiting in line to get into Lowes - If I cut off a piece what next? Can I cut this block up and use it in the bucket with Aspen chips?
Thanks for this video. Very informative
So I did the fruiting chamber with Repti-fogger (I live in the desert so needed the extra humidity) and got outstanding results! 5 oz of oysters (after stems trimmed) and they were delicious! Block is back in the chamber, waiting to see if I get a second flush. Thanks for the great info!
Did you get a second flush?
Did you get it
Also cute dog
Can this be outside, I live on New Jersey. Do they freeze?
Thanks tony- very simple and clear instructions.- Would it be the same for the Lion's Mane kit?
I learned a lot from this video!
I just bought my shrooms kit 😍 I’m so happy 😁📦☘️🌲🌲🌲💫🌪✨🥦🥦🧄🧅🥑🍍🍌
did it work?
There are several suggestions you can try
select the top type - there are lots available.
grow them in the right conditions - some such as oyster muchrooms like cool humid conditions and can be placed outdoors
Excellent and informative! I found your channel cause I had an older kit (same as this video) I opened the box, and the bag had brown juices in it!!?? I was looking for advice to see if I can salvage any of it...✌️😊
This looks great! Curious if you can only remove the larger mushrooms and leave the smaller ones until they get larger?
Great informative ....Thanx..Love from India (Bhaarat)🇮🇳🙏Namastey जय हिंद जय भारत
Thank you. I have a kit ordered:
Thank you very much for all that information. I want to know a technique to make fruiting blocks. I hope you help me. Greetings from Colombia.
Great video! I made the fruiting chamber and it worked out great. Regarding the reptile fogger that you used. Does it have the timer to allow it to go off once per hour or was that a separate timer? If the latter, can you tell me what timer you used please?
Great video! I live in a very arid climate, & I have some vermiculite, will that work as well as the pearlite? Thanks, R!
Can you buy the blocks of psilocybin mushrooms or just the syringes of spores? This looks way easier.
Reptifogger, good tip.
wow growth between day 6 and day 7 was amazing
Thank you for sharing
I’m interested in growing mushrooms to save money as well as show my grandkids something special. I’m not sure 3 harvests max from 1 block (they seem to average around $20 to $40) is cost effective, but it is definitely a novelty.
Hey did you ever think of adding a small computer fan for like 5-10 bucks and then having it run intermittently
You could definitely do this. the repti fogger is nice though :)
Mushrooms look divine
Levine_tripp¿?
Can you use the soak water for anything. Such as to add to potted plants and introduce beneficial fungi
Hey! How do you grow Maitake mushrooms? I’ve never heard much on growing but I heard it’s pretty difficult to cultivate
I want to try one of these kits to get a feel for growing mushrooms. Is portobello something that could be easily started DIY at home?
hey can you do a grain to grain transfer from kits like that? thank you? what if you mist the kit every few hours? would it work?
Hi, I just grew my kit for the first time, it’s Italian oyster mushroom. I follow the instructions, using the plastic tent provided and spray water on the block according to the instructions. The block did grow but the mushrooms were clusters of little mushrooms. Any recommendations on how to grow less in the clusters but larger mushrooms? Thanks.
I live in TX and it gets pretty hot in the summer. One side of my house is in shade most of the day. What varieties would be my best choice for growing outside? Could you make a video about growing outdoors?
Thanks for share. I wanted to ask you a question. What lighting conditions are appropriate. A little indirect light? For how long. If you wanted to do it with LED light, how many hours would it be appropriate? Thank you.
If you wanted to use an LED light instead, I would say something like 12/12 would be appropriate, but nice diffuse ambient light from is just great.
I did a lot of humidity testing for in home orchid growing orchids and I'm not convinced a spray bottle will have a significant effect. Once the water evaporates you are back to the ambient humidity, so you are going short wet +long dry. A closed off bathroom/enclosed bath-shower stall humid from a steamy shower spray would be my choice, or maybe a plastic mesh laundry basket or similar mostly covered with damp towels and plastic.
I think that humidifier is key.
My husband really loves the spatula you're using at the end of the video - could you add the link to that too? Thank you so much - such a great video we can't wait to grow mushrooms at home!
Shop from kaliscanabis on Snapchat they are reliable I have got several successful orders from him...
I just harvested ed from one of these kits. I didn't know I could grow more from the kit so the substrates just been sitting in the corner for about two weeks. Can I still safely get another harvest from it?
11:00 nice setup
What kind of utensil are you using to stir the mushrooms on the stove?
Hey Tony real cool video....can you make a video growing King oyster mushroom,,,,? There isn't much online about it...it will be wonderful seeing your approach...
Yes- Got some spawn going now!
@@FreshCapMushrooms thanks for the great effort
@@FreshCapMushrooms , YAY!!
Can you break up the block into a larger substrate like a 5 gallon bucket? Or would you be better off just transferring to agar? Love the channel by the way lots of helpful information!!!
I've seen other videos (e.g. ua-cam.com/video/Fbm04HJV_H8/v-deo.html) of people breaking up these kits and using them like spawn to grow in larger tubs/buckets. Fungi are pretty hardy and want to grow. It's probably not the most economical way, though. Bags of grain spawn are larger and similar in price, and they don't contain any unnecessary grow medium, since you'll be providing your own. I'd also bet grain spawn ordered from the source is more reliable than box kits sitting on warehouse shelves.
Always watch your vids and like them too. You rock bro + I just know you’re a dope dude. Keep at it bud, amazing job to you and your wife ;)
wow, that is so nice thank you!!
Toni can you show us the results of the second and third flushes to see how fast the grow after the first flush besides the total amount of mushrooms for just one block?
Thanks!! :)
Could I possibly break up the brick and mix into sawdust mix and grow ?
If there is heat produced by the mushroom, you might want to redesign the fruiting chamber.
In that case, you have a single vent at the top oer the mushroms and only one row of holes near the bottom of the box. That way the warm air venting will draw in fresh air.
Can you cut open the sides of the growing block and triple the yield?
where can you buy the grain spawn that you used outdoors in another vid?
Is 10 weeks normal for colonization? I used 2 10cc syringes. If after the bags are colonizing should you empty the bags into the tub?
I just put my spore into a grow bag from a kit and it’s looking green inside the bag… is a green a bad sign!? It looks like mossy green but also the white mycelium color too… thanks for advice or suggestions!
Wouldn’t opening the nylon completely, hydrating them and covering them with vermiculite (kinda like brf-tek ) give you better results?
Could you have a fan in the room. Not blowing directly on it but enough to move some air around?
There are a few suggestions to try
choose the best variety - there are many available.
grow them in the best conditions - some eg oyster muchrooms like cool humid conditions and can be placed outside (I read these and the reasons they work on gregs mushroom grower site )
If you have the Repti Fogger, do you need the Perlite?
I live in north east Texas. It's very humid here, but it's also very hot. Could you grow these outside here or is it too hot and you would need to grow them inside?
Why do I get always mold? Is it because during night the temperatur goes down to 17 ° C ? Or is it to dry or to moist?
you dont need to buy perlite, you can use wet paper towels or just a glass of water in the box, i would also recommend putting a small fan in there to ensure ventilation.
Hi thank you for your video!
What is the recommended temperature to grow mushrooms? I live in New Zealand and my house is not very warm. I do have a garage where I'm thinking of leaving them
Normal house temps, 70's.
Do the fruiting blocks have holes in them for air etc exchange? That one looked neat and completely sealed. Also, when they're fully colonised do they stay dormant because they're in a dark box? How can I successfully make my own. Substrates I understand, it's fruiting conditions and shelf life of a grow kit I'm not sure about. Also, is all mycellium white?
Can you grown the grain spawn in the pearl lite?
I wonder if you could use a egg incubater to grow mushrooms so you can utilize the humidity control
You don't increase mushroom size and overall yield by thinning out the fruiting bodies the way one might for carrots?
I just recently grew some yellow oyster mushrooms from a kit that I got from North Spore. I was really surprised at just how quick they grew once they started pinning
right?!? It is so crazy how fast they grow!
@@FreshCapMushrooms The craziest part is that I grew them on top of my dryer in the laundry room, and now I'm thinking I may want to try some more different types since portobello mushrooms are the only thing available around me
@@dannym2359 did they get enough light?
Thanks for all the helpful info. Just wondering why put holes on the bottom of the fruiting chamber...why not leave bottom solid to keep moisture from staining floor?
You need the holes under the chamber to let the CO2 escape because it is heavier than the air around it.
May I ask, what happens if I've followed your steps for my grow kit (elm). It's in the fruiting chamber.
I don't see any pins forming but the whole block is fully colonized. Help. Able to colonize lots of different varieties but I'm having trouble fruiting ☹️
Need videos for problematic blocks or what to do videos if your block isn't pinning, please? Thanks
I have a truffle grow kits is it the same process or different
Will this be good for cubes?
Can I crumble a kit and add it to 4-6 quart jars of sterilized grain and then have 4-6 quarts of spawn?
So is a fully colonized block resistant to contamination because the colonized block, and the organism inside, out compete any anaerobic or aerobic organisms... or is it cause there's 'no more nutrients left in the block'? Never heard that so curious! thanks
What would happen if you take off all the plastic?
Can it be harvested as you go, or do you have to wait and for the whole bunch?
Please tell me what brand and size of tote you used? What is the preferred temperature range? Thanks!
Is a humidifier necessary? I know we can do it at home but kinda wish I don't need to buy extra equipment for it
I have a block and it has side pins. Should i take out the block out of the plastic bag?
Is it possible to take a grow kit and colonize more material with it
