A brilliant video! Thank you so much! Good videography; clear and concise diction. I had to sift through a LOT of videos in my quest to find a meaningful one that would help with my problem. I even needed to know how to remove the green rubber guard from the port on the removable bin. I see now that a little bit of gentle forcing is required. Thank you too for the tip about moisture (a little too late for me though). When setting up my Roomba I did not set a no go zone area for where my cat water bowls are. After i noticed that my Roomba was not performing properly, I removed the two green rollers only to discover a whole lot of dirt caked onto the sides of the Roomba behind the rollers. And finally - I loved the bit of humour you added to your video 😸
For me it was the LID....AHAHAHAHA. Im pretty tech savy and understand what parts need to function in order for units to work. I deep cleaned everything...I even unscrewed the whole unit and took the whole internal suction tube out. put a new bag in, changed the filter everything, i knew for sure it wasnt anything to do with dirt. I decided to seek youtube help and found this video, the first thing I noticed you do is lift the lid up and it stays up....I was like wait my whole lid just comes straight off, realigned it how you had it up and gave it a good push and boom it snapped into place and stands up straight like yours when the lid is lifted. Gave it a go and boooooom were back in buisness. Lol It wasnt intended but thanks for the video!
P.S., my problem was alot of dust accumulated under the bag at the bottom of the compartment. I changed out the bag and also vacuumed out the dust...that did the trick! Thanks, again. I didn't find any cattoys, though...we have a Jack Russell so tennis balls would be our problem. Ha!
I've got the same unit, went through the same steps but no success. The roomba did a cleaning round after I'd mopped the floors, I thought it was done but it was just recharging before continuing. When I got back the Clean Base was standing in a puddle of water and more was seeping through the side vent exhaust. I took everything apart and removed the water with a shopvac as best I could. When the Roomba completes a cleaning round, and unloads at the Cleanbase, it'll still attempt to empty the bin, three times before switching to a red signal on both units. The error in the app says there's a clog but there really isn't one. The motor sounds a bit different too, I'm worried it's FUBAR.
Sorry to hear that this hasn’t worked for you. The water may have affected the roomba and the charger. How about your dustbin? Have you thoroughly cleaned the bin? Meaning removal of the green flap?
@@xUNLUCKYxSEVENx sorry to hear that this is causing a problem for you. You can try to unplug the tower for 10 seconds and try again or try a different bag and see if this helps
EASIEST FIX FOR EMPTY BIN PROMT NOT WORKING!!! We suffered the empty bin mode not working. It would disappear from the app dashboard when you pressed it and not reappear until later.we spoke to customer service and I did everything suggested for the j6. Rebooting, blowing out the dust behind the bumper, removing the vac tube under the tower, making sure there were no blockages, blah blah blah blah . . . Nothing worked until i did a factory reset from the app and saved the map option. The empty bin worked perfectly. It will also force update the software. They never suggested it. Dumb asses.
Glad to see you got this figured out. Yes worse case scenario as with any electronics is to completely reset it and this may require completely removing the roomba from your account and even removing the app from your phone and then reinstall. If it doesn’t work first time, try again as sometimes first time doesn’t work. Thanks for your comment.

i got a sealing problem but it was actually a pillar of my home blocking the side exhaust of the dock, so i just had to move it away from it.😂
