My roomba 690 won't work. When docked on to charger, charger lamp comeson on the charger, clean green light blinks and charging battery blinks red. This goes off after sometime a na na na na beeps. Same cycle repeats again and again. All the contacts are cleaned. Have no idea if battery is charged charging or bad.

Some lady tried to scam me by charging me $90 for a $400 Roomba because it wasn’t charging and she didn’t know how to fix it but she advertised that it was working perfect and never told me it wasn’t working properly. So I watched the video, Cleaned the contact points and BAM! Charging perfectly. If only she would of did a small amount of research. Her “scam” ended up giving me a homerun of deal.

jesus... the TINIEST bit of gunk prevents the charge... the TINIEST. Literally a tiny bit of black gunk on one of the chargers prevented charging of my Roomba.. thank you for showing me this. I appreciate it so much.

i read a comment and that actually fixed mine. It was the tiny bit of dirt on the contacts! First thing. I had already wiped with my finger before and figured they were "clean enough". But? Nope. I took some rubbing alcohol and wiped them off. Indeed, those specs of "dirt" actually made it glitch and not charge properly. GREAT!!!

with the name puymouret i thanked you just over a year ago for help. Now I'm back to say it all over again. the issue this time was the spring contacts on the charger. I opened up the charger and found one of the contacts was stuck down. a bit for fiddling and it came back up fully. Thanks again, by the way i just checked and my roomba 760 is now NINE years old and still going strong. PS , i did not know about the side charging port but it does not seem to work anyway but nice to know about, thanks yet again
Wish I would have found this months ago lol. We’ve been using dog toys or wash cloths to heighten the back to get it to charge! Now I can use the scheduling feature again because it won’t be stuck in place by a dog toy lol! Thanks 100x!

Thanks so much! That fixed the issue. I suspected that it wasn’t making contact and I cleaned them with a dry cloth. I used the magic eraser as you suggested & that was the ticket . Works perfectly.

I cleaned my contacts with a damp cloth -- no change. But the Mr Clean trick did the job! I wouldn't have thought that scum was so sticky...

Mine charged for a minute then nothing
Just got this today and I already can’t charge it. First time trying to use the charger and I’m having issues already, loving it so far!
Make sure the outlet you are plugging it into is working. If you can’t get it to charge you can return it.
