I remember when and where you got Dale in Gabriel's New York as I live about 45 miles north of there. I wish you would keep Dale. I have an original 1951 F-3 pickup, and an original 1969 Riviera. If I wasn't so old and thought I could get by my wife on this I would buy Dale, with all the improvements, and bring her back home here to the Adirondacks and give it to my son or grandson. You've really improved it since you first picked it up. That Yugo will go to someone as beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Love your content.
Thanks so much for watching!
Nice Vic/Merc! I want to pick one up and do a Three Pedal.
We have a 3 pedal on the channel!
The Yugo was planned with a Toyota engine, but smaller from the Toyota Aygo, even a dozen prototypes were made, but in the end a Peugeot 1.1 engine was inserted... Many Canadians and Americans from the former Yugoslavia would like a Yugo
I sure hope so!
Nostalgia is a powerful drug , I guess. People are even collecting Trabants nowadays so anything is possible I guess.
You must be smoking somthing? Yugos had always had the fiat engine 55 and 65 had a 128 sohc engine while the 45 had a square engine wihtout ohc. 😉
@@2smokes there was a limited production Yugos with Toyota engine in the late 2000s. I will share you the link in a second
@@drackula1985 yeah late 2000 but yugos were product from the late 80s up
Question, what was the cost of the manual swap in the Vic, ballpark?
Couldn’t tell you! We bought it already swapped!
@@OldeCarrGuy I just watched that video. Lol! .I'll be referring to your channel in the coming year. I'm writing up a basic plan, costs, etc..
Thank you very much for sharing all your knowledge.
Put a SHO mill in the back ala Renault R5.
Hi Jason i hope your doing well.. Did i hear you might SELL old Dale the truck??? Thats my favorite vehicle on your show Jason .. I will keep an eye 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 on that truck .. THE BANDIT AKA BOB from Illinois
Hey Bob. Yes, Dale will be going up for sale. If you are serious, send me an email.
It's not a bad looking little car but it's a Yugo Lol
Maybe it will end up back on PEI--that would be poetic justice!😆
Sure would!
What was last year for the Yugo?
Not sure, but i'm thinking 91 maybe 92!
A car joke. Not a Yugo joke buut close.
Why do Trabants have rear window defrosters?
To keep your hands warm.
I took would like to find a square body suburban.
$750. I’ll take it. Let’s go.
Initially I thought that was a quasi realistic lowball. Then I looked up values. In the words of Sally Field from Smokey and the Bandit, “Holy Shit”.
Just like everything else! It's crazy!
The Yugo may have to go, but you can't get rid of family...Igor
Good ole Igor! He may be due for a visit!
I'm looking for a Ford Escort Diesel
Good luck!
@@OldeCarrGuy I gotta 84 and 86 escort diesels that still run but the bodies are beyond restoration. I'd even take a mid 80s escort that just has decent sheet metal and nothing else. The first car I ever rode in was that 84 that my old man bought brand new and it's been sitting out back in the emporium since the 90s. Learned how to drive stick in the 86 and hauled my neighbors Honda minibike back to his house with it after laying it down on a gravel road when a deer ran out in front of me because I accidentally laid on the front brake. Those scabs on my knees and elbows took months to heal and boy did they ever itch.
I hate being broke.
I’ll give you 5 Serbian dinars for it .
You funny guy!
Will barely be able to fit all the extra parts in the Yugo to drive it home!
lol
You did a great job with the Yugo. But one thing I'll never get is why Malcolm Bricklin chose to import it to America instead of the Fiat Uno.
He was desperate for a win after the SV1 debacle.
These days your gonna have to reach deep for a nice 4 x 2 Square Body Burb but 5k should get you 1/3 to 1/4 of the way there.
Yeah! I’ve been watching. It just depends on the condition.
@@OldeCarrGuy
WHAT.???. You actually have a UGO that survive the 80’s..🙀
Indeed!
I haven’t seen one since 1988 when I was living in Sacramento. That’s fantastic.!.😊
The price ?🤓
All the information in in the video! $5000 canadian.
