- Picking cute non binary names can be challenging, so I'm back with more tips for picking names, especially for non binary people! Not all nonbinary people want to or need to change their name, but for some people they feel more empowered to explore their gender if their name is not associated with a specific gender.

These videos are coming at a very appropriate time in my life. I found I like the old English spelling of my birth name; it's pronounced exactly the same but spelled extraordinarily differently in a way I think is awesome.
That has been something I’ve seen be healing for a lot of folks too, is a specific spelling change. Or when they pick a name, a certain spelling will call to them.
Personally I think nature names and nouns that you feel a metaphorical connection to make really good nonbinary names!
Absolutely! I’m a huge fan of nouns and adjectives as names tbh, I find them fun. I’ve got 2 videos coming up with lists of names!!
Also make sure your new name works in all the languages you often speak (as in, sounds like it could be a name, is pronouncable, and is not an embarrassing word).
Consider whether you care if your name also works in the languages you speak less often.
My answer to that second question was 'no' lol, but it might be important to you :)
That’s such an important tip!! Thank you!
You also have the option of naming your kid after yourself, and that's real fun
Totally! That’s not my cup of tea per se but that is absolutely a legal choice haha
I kinda wanna change my name to Artemis just because I think it’s a gender neutral name and I really like it since it also doesn’t sound like too much of a boys name :)
Ooo I think Artemis is really cute!
Tyyyyy
I love the name Artemis!! The book series “Artemis fowl” was one that I loved as a kid! A constant joke of the series was that he was a boy but people would always say “isn’t that a girls name?” When hearing his name. I think it’s a cool splash of gender neutrality and a good example of reclaiming the femininity or masculinity of a word
I like the names Wyatt, Rhett, Parker, Emmett what is y’all’s favorite? I’m Changing it in 5 months
I wondered if I could also pick my nickname (a male name) if I’m non binary but feel connected to this name ?
of course! changing drastically your name isn't necessary, in fact there are many non-binary people who keep their birthname
@@patplaza1027 thank you for answering:)
It might be confusing because I’m afab and the name I prefer is the male version of my birth name Lol
did you go for it? @@wasght73
Also, if family and tradition is very important to youm you can check out your family tree (if you have one) or talk to family members and parents, both about which names they considered for you, and which names are common in your family. I found my name multiple places on my family tree, and it turns out I might've been called that if I were assigned a different sex at birth.
Also also, consider having one femme and one masc name, or combine two to make a new name.
Excellent suggestions, thank you!
As a teen I asked my mom what name she would have picked if I was born as a female. She told me that I would be Barbara Ann. I didn't like that name, because Barbara is an older woman's name and Ann is my mother's first name and my sister's middle name. My pick for my preffered name is Stevonnie.
Ooh, I love these tips! I’ve been thinking more about finding a new name recently and this video was very helpful, thank you! ^^
I’m glad you liked the video! Two videos coming soon with lists of names I like 🥰
I just picked out a word that sounds nice and has a vool definition. Nice.
I've been trying to pick a name for a looong time... I've gone by a very typically manly name for a few years, but for a few different reasons I feel like I can't use it any longer. Now I feel like I don't have a name at all. And how do you even live and introduce yourself without a name? Very uncomfortable and frustrating...
Now I just want a very genderneutral name, so I can just move on with my life. There are so many nice options in English. But I need it to sound okay in Swedish, as well - and it's so difficult to find Swedish genderneutral names. (If anyone from Sweden sees this, I'd love to hear name suggestions that ''sound Swedish''. Preferably nature-inspired.)
Just found you're channel. I really like your videos! :)
Did you find one? Idk much about swedish names but I think Noa/Noah is probably Swedish, and it's a pretty gender neutral name.
what do u guys think about the names Nova and Rayn. and yes.. Rayn, not Ryan. ive been pi$$ed at google for trying to "correct" me.😆

@Xochitl Fuchs I love it
To me it actually sounds a bit masculine but in a sociatal (idk if this word exists) way, so I think it's really nice if someone is nb and goes by Lian
@Xochitl Fuchs cool
I'm italian
@Xochitl Fuchs centre-north, I'm in a region called Emilia-romagna
My grandmother is german so I guess I understand something
Where do you live?
@Xochitl Fuchs I don't define my self as nb but recently I discovered about the term bigender and it makes a lot of sense to me
@Xochitl Fuchs I feel in a very similar way
Boooooooooo
