    Thats been a really good buy, can't believe how the metal work has not rusted 👍

      Yea it is surprising. They must use a special kind of rust resistant paint I guess.

    I purchased Keter brand storage sheds for storing garden and durable holiday decor after seeing one of your installation videos. Mine are two years old (Sept 2022-Nov 2024) and are performing well. Paying attention to a level base makes a big impact. Thanks for sharing your experience.

    I bought the 8x6 version based off your first video on this. It's just over 2.5 years and it's still doing great. The side batons on the inside need screwing back sometimes as the base isn't perfect and the wind can get extreme where I am, but it's never caused any issues. My only gripe is the flooring isn't very strong but then I did drop a motorbike in there and I fixed the hole easy enough.
    Appreciate the update and good to know I can expect it to last a good bit longer yet.

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  2 місяці тому +1

      Good to know that yours is also holding up well. Yea the floors are not the strongest although adding a mat as I have done really seems to sort that out. I have found cheap wooden sheds to be surprisingly flimsy although I think some people assume that if it's made of wood then it will be stronger. I guess it all depends on the price.

    Looks good. I'd say if you put it in an exposed area a gale might take it out. But most sheds go in corners anyway.
    Wooden sheds look nice when new. But they're not that practical.
    I was writing this and you just covered my comment at the end. 😊
    I bought a house two years ago and they had one of those plexiglass greenhouses on a concrete foundation. It was entertaining watching it getting destroyed piece by piece in one of the bigger storms. 😂

    Really good shed's Phil I've good two of not them exactly the same as yours, had them about the same time as you really pleased with them, the only down size is from the security point of view I think they could easily be got into being plastic
    I also had one of there garden benches which also doubles up for say garden tools etc which we use for recycling just outside our back door !!! have a nice day Mate !!! Brian, West Mid's !!!.

    Thanks Phill, a very practical and balanced assessment, it seems to have been a good buy for you ! I guess it's horses for courses, I do like a nice wooden shed but many are poorly made and tbh people don't find the time to maintain them properly so it's np surprise when they fail. We're also often made to feel guilty for anything plastic these days but as you observed it does the job so that is the main thing. Good to see how well the metal components are holding up, mine is only 2 years so that is reassuring !

      @PhillWyattProjects  2 місяці тому +1

      Cheers Andy. Yea I wasn't sure when I bought it but now I'm glad I bought it. One thing with wooden sheds that I find annoying it the doors swelling up in winter. The plastic is a stable product so it stays pretty much the same all year round.

    Hi Phill, Nice little shed, always handy to have and tucked away at the end of the garden just for garden tools. I have been thinking of a little shed I got a small patch at the bottom of my garden next to my garage and workshop, in fact it would butt up to the side of my garage handy to run a wire for a light, food for thought some thing I might think about next year. Great video, catch you soon Take care

    I've been considering one of these, looks like the vents have mesh on them? I have an old overlap shed that was a (very) budget spec and the biggest problem is the gaps around the door and warped overlap planks have made it easy for wasps to get in and try and nest. I put a new roof on it (had the original felt I didn't need in 2009, so cost of 2 x 11.5mm OSB 8x4) and it's now just for garden tools, petrol etc I'd like a shed for DEEP storage of some of the wife's crap that is cluttering up the main timber shed/workshop. These look ideal would do a concrete base for it though...!
