Thank you so much! I just ordered this shed and would never have thought to walk around outside and check the lines. You saved my a LOT of time!
Cheers!
Thank you a lot for you video, and tips. Very interesting.
I had the same problem , but in the opossite way , with the top corner or roof . Lined up outside pattern first , but then had to move on last roof panel. Spacers OK and had 2 screws left. Took me about 16 hours to build on my own .
Thanks great vid 👍
Just built a Keter Newton 11x5. Had trouble with last panel, as you say plenty of screws, middle two panels look very slightly bulged and not sitting flat so screwed them down and now looks OK. Pretty good instructions, took me 3 days though as I was careful to follow them. Need to figure out how I can put a lock on the front doors. All ideas welcome👍
I was thinking about the same thing (I am having a different model delivered today)
I’m thinking about riveting a lock latch to the doors above the handle so u can put a pad lock. Obviously it’s not super strong but it’s really just to keep the kids out and secure the doors from opening in case they ever want to
@@Derkaramma I was putting it together when I thought the same but actually when you put the handle together it actually allows you to put a lock shank through it to secure it but you won’t see it until you fit it. Therefore it was rather easy in the end. Good Luck👍
Nice looking shed . Any issues so far ? Thinking of getting this same model . I like the fact you can paint the panels . Resin typically fades . Being able the paint it over time can give it a refresh.
Ta, it's still holding together well, been through a long tough winter with no issues. Bit of moss low down on the panels, I'll jet wash that off soon. But it's stayed water tight and rodent proof. Good shed 😊
That's excellent advice re the triangular section- Thanks for making. Question- Is it sturdy enough in the wind? Like if the wind caught it, would the shed move?
Cheers bud. I moved the shed around a bit when it was first built and empty, but I really had to put my back into it. As soon as I started filling it up with stuff, it isn't going anywhere with the wind.
@@zootius Hi again, you’d said you were building this in stormy weather- did you get it all done in one day or did it sit, for example, with the roof off for a few days or anything? Just checking in case I start building and then discover missing / dodgy parts and have to wait for replacements and it racks/ skews in the wind lol!
@@epiphgd4302 hi, it took 2 of us about 8 hours to get the majority of it done. That was over 2 days, only the second day when we put the roof on was really bad weather 😊 fingers crossed for you!
I tried to make this shed on my own and everything went OK until I got to the roof part - the last panels just would not fit! I tried everything but nothing worked -ended up getting a tradesman who spotted the problem immediately - the panels have to be slotted and screwed together on the ground first and then the two are put on the roof together!
Great video thanks. Would you say this can be built straight on to a grass surface, or does it absolutely need a hard base?
Sorry yes I think a flat solid surface is required because if there's any flex to the shed base, it will be conducted up the wall panels and make the roof impossible to fit. The roof panels really don't have much tolerance for imperfection.
Cheers for the review. What's the ventilation like?
Hmm, it doesn't have any specific ventilation AFAIK, but after 18 months stuff hasn't gone rusty or wet in there. Seems good, but does get hot in the sun.
Hi. We've had a few nice days already. How hot (also cold) does it get inside? Can it be used ie as a play room for kids in spring/summer/autumn?
I'm having a nightmare with mine, it's still not done and about 10 hours in 😞. The last roof panel just won't fit.
Do you know what the floor to ceiling measurement are inside to the eaves rather than the highest point?
Hi James, it's 198cm internal height to the start of the eaves at the corner. 240cm is the highest point of the ceiling internally.
Hi, could this be built on our artificial lawn? Very flat plus compacted hardcore base underneath!
Honestly I don't think it's a good idea. The lack of tolerance for flex means that you might have serious problems fitting the roof. At that point it would be a very expensive mistake.
Will you be able to move the windows and doors on the sides?
You can choose any side to put the windows on. The doors have to be in the centre of a long side.
Probably a stupid question. Is the middle of the ceiling open or is that a white piece of plastic for light?
Yeah it's a white translucent plastic spine for the roof that acts as a skylight.
Is there any ventilation? The modern models have some vents on top but this model doesn't seem to.
It has fixed ventilation slats at each end of the top ridge. Haven't had any problems with ventilation.
Hi. I'm not sure how or if I can add a picture so here goes. Anyone else see round markings on the outside of the roof, some of which actually have a hole in the middle? If so does it leak? Thank you
No, there's no holes on the roof. It's kept very watertight through some bad storms over the last 18 months. No leaks at all.
How would you rate the quality and ease of build. I'm thinking about a slightly smaller one for my garden
The quality is good and holding up well so far. No leaks. Ease of build is OK if you are able bodied, have somebody to help with the roof assembly, and have patience and time.
I built most of mine on my own (60+ woman), having help only for the roof and doors. I had problems with the right-hand side too ( looking from inside) . Also being on my own I put the door frame together on the floor, then put it in place. It did say in the instructions to check the outside lines matched up on the triangular section! I'm very happy with it.
@@jeanmurphy864 I might start saving my pocket money up for one . Definitely nice looking addition to the garden
Hi! Do you think I can use this shed as a studio if I install an air conditioner?
I think it would take a lot of work to make it comfortable to work in. The windows don't open, there's no adjustable ventilation. The walls aren't insulated, or built for taking shelves or electrical point installation. It's just a shed really.
Did you screw the base down.
The base is attached to the walls by sideways screws, but I did not screw the base to the ground beneath, if that was what you were asking 😊 the shed is completely weighed down by its contents.
What size is this?
Is any part of it screws down to patio?
Yes, it’s shown in the rear of the instructions for 8 screws to your base
Does the roof fully shut?
Yep, it's not obvious but the center line of the roof is made of white translucent plastic, which lets light in. In the video it looks totally invisible 😁
Update video 2 years on ?
Need to get round to it, but in summary yes it's held together very well through some vicious storms. Still watertight, plastic hasn't faded or gone brittle. Very pleased with it TBH. Only prob at the mo is that the bottom 6 inches is a little green with moss, so I'll be pressure washing it soon to sort that.
@@zootius Thank you for the update. I will more than likely will buy one myself now.
@@AmyPezzicara yes certainly enough room for 4 mountain bikes and a fair bit of room to spare.

I’ve got this exact shed and built it in 2022. I’ve turned mine into a bar, 2-seater sofa, 1 large seater chair, bar, electric stove fire, 24” tv, lamp, HomePod mini, Keter shelving x 2 for beer glass and can collection. Going get Sky Stream in soon. I’ve just made it into a little sanctuary away from the house to have an hour of peace. Been a great shed tbh
Would love to see it
