I remember watching this with my now departed brother when it was first on HBO. Kinison was his favorite comedian and watching him brings back a lot of memories.
I think we all have a Rodney Dangerfield and a Sam Kinison within us all when faced with the depression and anger of dealing with a cheating significant other.
I miss em both more then ever especially Sam like Belushi he was so down to earth and alive. Also loved his small part in back to school too. i shall always be forever grateful to Rodney for introducing us to him for the first time on the big screen.... Ghe got a crapload of respect at last!
OMG, we don't allow this humor anymore. :( Fuck, I miss this. Sam Kinison, I wish you were still alive. God bless the emotions. You too Rod..... genius.
Apparently we do allow this sort of humour still...if you're watching it now (this wasnt on network TV back then either...just HBO, which nowadays along with Netflix and other platforms you can find lots of "offensive" stuff..thankfully). PC has gone too far to be sure, but its just in the mainstream, and the whole "cant say this anymore" storyline becomes a bit tiresome or seems a bit kneejerk/convenient and a bit non-factual too.
Humor like this easily could exist. It's just that we are in a different time with a new generation of comedians. I could only name a couple of people nowadays who could operate on the same level as these two. The term professional comedian has lost all meaning, at least in my opinion.
@@McNuuuuggggiiiieeeessss Naw buddy. New generation, it's not that it's not our old timer humor. They've censored themselves too much because they might hurt feelings. Lenny Bruce would be sad.
Been a fan of Rodney since age five seeing back to school on hbo in 87 even caddyshack at 5 and rented this special on video at 12 and laughed my ass off
I met Rodney after a Sat live show Sweating his Balls off walking towards me on the Hallway , He never looked up at me , I walked by and said ! Calm down Rodney !!! I heard your Check Cleared !!! He replied!!! Hey Kid ! That's pretty Funny ??? I couldn't stop laughing
I already knew Sam could sing after he did Love me Tender on Carson (the Tonight Show)...This skit with Rodney is Hilarious! Will definitely watch again !❤😂❤
I think it's funny how Sam waits til about half way through to start dropping massive F-bombs and swearing, but before that it seemed like it could maybe be a skit for regular TV lol
@@popandroid I'm no snob when it comes to drinking. I like to drink cheap and fast. JB is an upgrade for me. The cheap stuff is fine. Been drinking for 44 years.
"You read Mobey Dick because you thought their was Dick in it! It was the only book you ever read and you end up sucking the book !!! Damn that's some funny shit !!!!
You can tell he’s actually a good singer. RIP Sam
by memory he grew up in a church and his dad was a minister so i might have got alot of experience singing
Well before heroin addict Cobain.
@@closertothetruth9209Sam himself was a Pentecostal preacher
That is hard to believe!!!
Such a heartwarming song.
A real tear jerker.
My favorite love song 😊

RIP
You're like Sam, instead of cheering me up you make me sadder
It's a shame he was taken from us way too soon! One of the most talented comedians ever!
Sorry for your loss. How old was your brother if you don’t mind me asking
Same, everyone I know that liked Sam and Rodney died horrifically, hoping I'll follow soon
I didn’t plan on laughing until I cried today, yet here we are.
If I could have Sam's voice for one day, I could get so much off my chest.
In traffic; roll down the window...”OHHH! Ohhh!”
OH! OH! OOOOOOOOOHH!!😲
The whole firehouse! They got a dalmatian there too! lol
She ended up sucking the book. Love it! Two of the best comedians ever!

It takes a great comedian to make one laugh through the tears.
Correct!
I embrace the Sam kinison inside my soul everyday
Nietzsche.
Sam definitely has a lovely voice when he sings.
Comedy takes many turns
He did a great version of Elvis "are you lonesome tonight?" On the tonight show with Johnny Carson.
His church background helped.
I love Rodney and this with Sam is hilarious one of the best pieces they did!
RIP RODNEY AND SAM!
Sam has the voice of an angel. Beautiful
On _Married With Children,_ he was Al's angel... 😎👍
His comedy act sounded like an Old Testament angel.

Sam's comment about Moby Dick was the best
R.I.P. Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Kinison.
My mother showed this to me awhile back. The moment Sam kicked in with that lyric before yelling out the song, i couldnt stop laughing.
"remember when Rodney went to the ball game? You had your own ball game" 🤣
After three, they walked her and the first baseman pitched his own set of balls.
