In a world where people binge-watch entire seasons of a tv series in one day, there are still people that complain about a four hours movie made for a streaming platform. I can get any other criticism, but the complaint about the runtime is kind of annoying.
I believe the issue stems from the fact that shows are purposely built around telling smaller sections of stories in an over arching story. Where as with watching a movie split up into four parts it seems like it's just one big long movie with breaks in-between that don't inherently mean they will actually work as breaks. Essentially the issue people worry about is that it's a movie that to get the actual full experience you're gonna have to watch it all together and not just take it slow like normal television
Like you say people bing watch shows, that's because the stories and events are spanned out over time making it easier to take it all in. It'd be hard to watch a tv show with just four episodes though because it would have to be so compact
Because shows and movie are different, stupid. Even the structure/format in its story-telling are different. That's why shows have opening intro and ending credits for each episodes as a pit stop. They don't just continuously going over 10/13/20 episodes non-stop.
@@BloomMachineBand And while you're at it, do the same with season 7 as well. It might not be as egregious as 8, but it's still a major departure in terms of quality from the previous seasons.

I kinda wish he wasn't in this one. I grew up on DC and I loved cyborg... as a titan. I know that since the new 52 cyborg was retconned into being a founding member of the justice league. But that was after my time. It kinda pisses me off like what they did to Cassandra Cain in birds of prey. If you're going to bring something(the justice league) to the big screen, why not do it right? Why focus the heart of the film on a character whose only recently been retconned into the history of the team? When you've got people like green lantern, or the hawks, or many of the other actual members of the team it's odd to focus it around the loudmouth from the teen titans

I think the “Injustice” stuff wasn’t meant to be the “final” thing, it was more like a time travel thing - there’s a “dark” future, where “Evil” Superman happens, and then that’s undone and a “real” future, with a final battle apparently, happens.
I think people are confusing the injustice reference with the more modern storyline when it was a nod to Luthor's old "Injustice Gang" where there was a super villain counter part to every main super hero.
@@similaritiesendhere Depends, Darkseid brainwashed Superman using the anti life equation after Lois died. Kinda hard to fight against something that can be used for mind controlling.
The "Injustice" stuff is basically Earth 2 in the new 52 where the trinity dies and Superman wins. Instead of doing that Zack decided to go with "Injustice" Superman, but it still serves the same purpose of showing how powerful Darkseid is.
@@hennggueljuancarlos8603 No, the treat of Superman is the fact that he's sooooooo powerful and can be turned so easily. Batman in these movies has lost people too (parents, Robin).
Remember the Irishman by Scorcese? 4+ hours. Man aint got time for that, I had to take like 4 days to get around it
Because shows and movie are different, stupid. Even the structure/format in its story-telling are different. That's why shows have opening intro and ending credits for each episodes as a pit stop. They don't just continuously going over 10/13/20 episodes non-stop.
This is probably the last justice league movie we will get with this cast, i love its 4hr cant wait.

In the Snyder Cut: Cyborg is the heart of the film.

The problem with the "Injustice" stuff is that Batman was right about Superman. The dude is one "bad day" from being Earth's worst threat.
I think people are confusing the injustice reference with the more modern storyline when it was a nod to Luthor's old "Injustice Gang" where there was a super villain counter part to every main super hero.
@@similaritiesendhere
Depends, Darkseid brainwashed Superman using the anti life equation after Lois died.
Superman/WW could stop Bruce Wayne if he turned. The whole Justice League can't stop Superman. He's not going stand still for Kryptonite bullets twice.
Superman destroying Metropolis while fighting Zod should've had the same effect on humanity as Hulk vs Hulkbuster in Age of Ultron.

I imagined this and i laughed so hard:
Joe: u can see what i think about it
Review begins
Joe: You don FUCKED IT UP!
Lol he needs to do that in the future.
Whenever he's reviewing something I hope is going to be good and leads with that line, my heart sinks a little.
@@1980dannya had that a lot last 3 years
And despite this, Joe be bending over backwards for whatever shit James Gunn does after firing Henry.
Joe has no self-respect.
Decades of Joe being perhaps the most loyal superman fan has earned him the right for an early screening.
HOLY CRAP THIS MOVIE WAS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. How dare they release that first version
I dunno, it was great and all but how much of that was down to the 4 hour runtime? Time to develop characters and build plot points. If the Theatrical release could have been 4 hours, or Synder cut had been forced down to 2, im not sure there would have been much difference.
Angry Joe rewatched Joss Whedon's Justice League.... why did you do that to yourself, you masochist lol.
He's the hero we don't deserve! He suffered so we wouldn't need to
I never liked the theatrical cut of Justice League, but this movie was freaking epic and far surpased my expectations. This movie is now among my top 5 superhero movies of all time, and I actually think they fixed every problem I had with the theatrical cut. The problem now is that I really want to watch the continuation of this story. Restore the damn Snyderverse! For the fans and for Autumn damnit! Making me tear up with that credits!
For me 9/10
@@danny.4506 Yeah, something like that for me too. I am actually shocked that Angry Joe and Other Joe did not give the movie a higher score. I can understand Alex though, as he seems to not really like anything much at all. The fact that they complained about the score is baffling to me as it was incredible.
This four hours indicates that there should have been a series of movies before the League movie.
Every Justice League character needed to have his own film and then a Justice League film. But Warner Brothers was impatient and wanted to compete with Marvel
@@karimzakaria9621 I remember that WB was obsessed with making 1bi dollars at that time. They never did care about creating a coherent DC universe from the get go, it was just about the unrealistic expectations of WB managers.
Well that would be the sane plan, but WB wanted to cash in on the Avengers hype train but without the build up.
4 hours in film is bad and uncomfortable except they have bathroom break commercial like 10 commandments did and much comfortable if you just stay in home not in theaters.
@@karimzakaria9621 exactly what i thought.
This version of Justice League was freaking awesome I am a huge Superman fan like you Joe and they did all the characters Justice literally this is the real version that we were all supposed to see definitely a phenomenal flick.
I wonder if you come to that conclusion after another watch.
I mean to say it was an improvement over the original is a massive understatement but at best for me it was good not great.
@OStarzFilmz oh you thought it was worse? Yeah maybe.
@OStarzFilmz yeah by far Whedon was worse.
I liked the original cut of jl as well the way they finally showed superman for the powerful being he is but this cut proves a good 2 hour plus snyder cut doesn’t work even as 2 movies it doesn’t work I just wish wb made the flash movies first along with the aquaman movie with maybe a Batman movie that wasn’t bvs it would have fleshed out the dcu
@@barebasics Wow, I thought that first cut was actually a bad movie and Superman made everyone else irrelevant in a bad way. This new cut made it adequate to good or I should say enjoyable. Superman should be powerful and it’s great to see it but why have the justice league if it’s going to be Superman and his sidekicks?
It SHOULD be dark. We don’t need an MCU but with DC characters. Make it different. If I want more of the same, I’ll watch MCU.
You guys noticed hiw close Darkseid came to getting a Green Lantern 💍 ring. Can you imagine how much more powerful he would be? Lol
Nah bro i think he wanted to crush the ring like in comic he represent opposite of what green lantern ring stand for that why ring stays their for a bit as conflicted ideals also he will never wear a ring he never consider something can control him or is superior to him. Also at that time he wasn't darksied he become that later he doesn't have his omega bean at that time.
The Green Lantern power rings choose the wearer powered by will. You can’t just grab one.
FINALLY somebody else saw that, he was about to grab it out of the air!!!!, and crush it like thanos destroying the stones
So, we can all agree, this is what Justice League should've been from the start, right?
in 2017 people got the Early Access version. The fact that the first version failed hard made Snyder Cut an even bigger success.
Yup I liked this movie more than the first avengers movie
@@blankname6629 I...actually kinda agree.
@@superiorgamedude it has more to it. First avengers movie from what I remember does a lot of fan service. This one does not care what fans want it just wants to tell a compelling story.
Yeah it should have been this yet another installmemt of the awful vision Snyder had. Its a bit better than the hacked up reshoot zomboe carcas of a movie. But its still more terrible writing and directing.
I just finished watching this film and I'm here to tell you that your 4 hours of watch is worth it like holy sht go watch it rn even as a marvel fanboy i freaking enjoyed Zack snyder's version so much
This was awful shit like the original😂😂

This is 2 movies merged together. I think it was envisioned as multiple movies.
it was supposed to be 2 movies originally, they even announced as that.
@@edseiya no this was always 1 film. There would have been a sequel CALLED Pt 2 later (aka the Darkseid movie). This version is not the version that ever would have been released in theaters. It's the blu-ray director's cut
Have you seen it?
@@nateputerbaugh5709 It's not even the director's cut. The 214min cut would have been that. It was also confirmed that Zack cut the 214min version down to like ~2,5 hours for the theaters.
These guys went too hard on this because they were afraid to gush over it. Probably the most harshest review ive seen. No chemistry? Worse soundtrack? Da fuck??
Yea, they didn't want to fanboy because they done f* (YT censorship) ed it up with the og Justice league review when they thought that trash was good.
Seems like the biggest take away is that they shouldve made other movies to give the characters more space.
Wow same thing people have been saying since the first wave of DCEU. Crazy.
Don't worry, maybe they'll keep going back and recutting old films to give more backstory cause it's cheaper than making new ones and apparently the fans show even more enthusiasm that way...
@@arthand7672 gonna cry?
@@jakebecerra8189 if the suicide squad and the batman didn't look good, I probably would be.
Well the actual plan was making a five film arc with MoS,BvS and a JL trilogy with spinoff movies for characters

@@arthurwaring Alright, that's good to hear. I was just a bit worried for it, that's all.
The Barry Allen intro was MONEY. Y’all are crazy.
It was a stupid scene. It was as stupid as the stupidest part of joshs cut to have some guy driving a massive truck full speed down a road while looking for a burger for over a minute, still barreling down the road. And slow motion sesame seed??
Also the creepyness in slow motion from barry was unnecessary. The shared moment wheb she was aware was fine but that part afterward rather than him just saving her. It was creepy.
@@ge2719 You do realize who she is right? She's Iris West, Barry's love interest from the comic books. It makes sense to add more screentime and depth to that single scene with her, to set things up for a possible Flash standalone movie.
@@bimapamungkas9109 "more screen time and depth"
err. sorry they already did everything they needed to do with that scene, make the cause of the accident less absolutely moronic. A guy driving a truck down a road reaching for a burger not looking where he's driving. seriously>? you're going to defend that?
it was just as stupid in the wonderwoman scene too.
Crazy people who want to see the world burn, going to set a bomb off...in ONE MINUTE dun dun dunnnnnnn. Yeah, they totally wouldn't have just pushed a button to make the bomb blow up instantly. they definitely needed to have a one minute timer countdown.
they also didnt need him to creepily pine over her face in slow motion when shes literally in the middle of a car crash. it looked like he wasnt taking the danger seriously even though every other aspect of the scene was, like the rest of the movie, extremely overly dramatic.
We've got this scene where he runs so fast his shoes explode, breaks through glass, the road crumbles under the speed he's running. oh but he has time to stare at her face again even though they already did that when they crossed paths at the door, and didnt need to do it again in a creepy way when she wasnt aware of it. it was creepy. Nothing of what i said even in any way implied that they need to cut down or reduce the scene. just cut that creepiness part out of it.
@@ge2719 nice essay. A+

Like the pirates of the Caribbean did the same thing.
One for the summer and one for Christmas...
It was possible to cut enough content to reduce it to the length of endgame making it cinema worthy, there were too many meaningless scenes.
Sorta like the deathly hollows, you get part 1 & part 2. Just not too far apart.
Snyder Cut Is amazing!! I loved the better treatment and development of the characters. Pacing was great, didn't even feel like 4 hours. It's surprising how much the fights got butchered in the one released by Joss Whedon. Each characters strengths were very well utilized.
The only problem with doing injustice is that we haven't had enough time to see Superman as the good guy - you need to build him up as the penultimate hero before you turn him evil.

I feel like this film was doomed from the start because WB rushed it. When Avengers came out, most of the main characters had already had at least one movie to develop them, while these characters didn't have that luxury. This was a definite improvement but the entire cinematic universe would have benefited from being allowed to take its time.
