- I don't hate Zack Snyder. I've never met him, I'm sure he's a nice bloke, but I do hate his movies. I know that starts me off in a biassed way, but I think there's a lot to criticise about his DC Snyderverse, and there's a lot of reasons why this disaster won't be continuing. Join me as I inevitably make some people mad talking about something I've wanted to talk about for quite a while now. Cue the comments telling me that I don't understand Zack's genius and saying the Snyderverse should be restored.

Someone needs to ask Zack Snyder how it feels to have his multi-million dollar destruction porn series be outclassed by a cartoon series that came out over a decade ago.

FYI if Superman had existed, his fights would looked like that which was the point, and why in BVS the topic of Superman existence and help, just like in the real world he would've been an issue.
If Superman interfered, he'd be an enemy of the US. The same guy you cried "didn't smile, or save anyone- which he did, in the real world would not save everyone, and his fights would level the city as it did in comics.

@@theflickspicksnthenitpicks3731 no one ever said they hated Zack Snyder people have a right to voice how they feel about those movies and let's be real his DC movies were absolute trash no matter how much people want to keep trying to defend these movies and make excuses for them they were not great at all they were the complete opposite of what people wanted to see from these characters Zack Snyder is a prime example of when did raptors don't have a clear understanding of these characters and the source material that they came from I mean what's not forget that Zack Snyder wanted to try to kill off Lois Lane in Batman versus Superman which would have been stupid and completely would have made no sense at all because Lois Lane is a very important character in The lore of Superman if not just as important as Superman is yeah so doesn't even have a clear understanding of Batman either but this isn't to say that he's the only director that's guilty of this Brian singer is another one that's guilty of this as well their stories they've come out over the years about him not allowing the cast to read any of the X-Men comics when they were making the first X-Men film this is a huge problem with people like Zack Snyder and others who don't have a clear understanding of these characters it's not that hard to make things accurate to the source material that's all fans want and then they wonder why these movies get the criticism that they get because they refuse to give fans what they want to see when it comes to these characters if fans with their own independence studios can put together fan films that are accurate to the source material then why the hell can't these directors and writers do the exact same thing?
@@theflickspicksnthenitpicks3731 Tyler Hoechlin's Superman is what Superman would be like if he was real. Snyder's Superman is flat out awful he has zero personality. Watching paint fry is more interesting than Snyder's Superman. Zack Snyder is a terrible storyteller and I'm glad he's done with DC. His films were terrible. Superman isn't a realistic character but he has realistic ideals. His pure and uncorrupted optimism is what humanity should stride towards. That's the whole point of Superman. He's hopeful and optimistic in a dark world. He brings hope to those that desperately need it. He's not an emotionless robot like Snyder's version. Snyder's Superman is a disgrace to the character. It's more disrespectful than Frank Miller's version. Superman vs the Elite is a brilliant film. It's basically Superman vs Zack Snyder. I highly recommend it.

It’s sad that his daughter died, no one deserves to go through that. And the fact that the Snyderverse movement managed to raise so much money for Suicide Prevention is a genuinely great accomplishment that deserves to be remembered and celebrated. But that has absolutely nothing to do with his awful storytelling.
The fact that you can notice these critical issues with the Snyder's films without even knowing the comics or without any personal attachment to some of this characters is emblmeatic of how bad the Snyderverse is.

snyder in context has stated that he made it into 4 hours because he treated it as a streaming movie. plus the original plant for the snydercut release was to be somewhat of a mini series style

Funny Suicide Squad doesn't get the same hate, and that movie, though I was entertained, when you watch it... it was a ridiculous film. Funny ... you guys never dissect that. As a life long comics fan I like the snyderverse. Is it a good 1:1 of the comics? No. Did he make controversial decisions? Yes. But I got what he was doing. Everyone was so mad superman killed zod. I wasn't. If we're trying to be as realistic as we can work these characters then if you're superman and when right off the bat your first adversary isn't lex or metallo but a being(s) as powerful as you with combat training that outcome to stop them is inevitable. I think man of steel is quite good. Bvs was hundred by cutting the plot and as a big Batman fan I am disappointed we got a Batman that lost his way. But it resonates with me because at the time I was going through it bad and seeing this rageful and borderline psycho Batman waa paralleling where I was obviously without the murder lol. Having superman kinda redeem him paralleled my journey back to Christ. So bvs is probably the weakest but it seemed to me Zack was deconstructing to rebuild these mythological characters because he wanted to see what mage them tick. I just found that interesting because he wasn't trying to copy marvel and even at that point I was growing stale with marvel noticing the drop in quality and cookie cutter nature of their films. If say this really started after around age of ultron and the first guardians. Humor And levity is fine and necessary but boy especially after guardians was an unexpected hit they really went for it. So fit me what Zack was doing was like a pallet cleanser and it is not what I would've done but I did want to see where it would go. Like c'mon good justice league it's fantastic other than the slow no porn. He waa wilding a little too much there. But I really enjoyed justice league and I know he had controversial ideas for the sequels like Lois and Batman having a baby and it is so wild and original I at least want commons to complete that cause I just wanna see what this crazy bastard was cooking

I thought I'm the only one too. I hate how his movies are so colorless for such a colorful universe. Even if there are colors, it felt as if they're trying to wash it all away.
The good thing is it encouraged me to go outside.
snyder needs to never touch the writing end of things. 300 and Watchmen were both fine. however the cliches and tropes of his style he tim burtoned himself in literally less than half the time by doubling down on his indulgences with every movie. im still a fan of his work but it is trying sometimes to not drill holes in your own head wondering by this superfluous moment is in super closeup super slo motion.

Nah, if you want something TRULY muddled, it's the X-men.
This is how I would’ve written some of Man of Steel’s scenes. Instead of Clark’s dad shaming him for revealing his powers to save those kids it should’ve been Clark shaming himself and it’s his dad who says “what were you supposed to do? Just let them die?”.
In his battle with Zod we should’ve seen Clark try to save people while also fighting him off. Then, Zod does the laser beam thing, but this time he’s torching the whole city and Clark tries everything in his power to move him or block his vision, but nothing works. So, his only option is to snap his neck and after that we see how torn up about it he is.

I am a Comic Book Nut, I can accept the fact that there are other versions of beloved superheoes. I think Snyder's 300 was good and his style works for it. I absolutely hate how it looks in DC movies though. I don't get how WB doesn't just hand the reigns to their animated DC team cuz they write a good script the characters work and the story is good and makes sense just let them make a full length real film then.
Snyder ruined my childhood. I was in the movie theater, seeing Superman destroy the ship, waiting for Man of Steel to end, because I needed to use the bathroom. Instead, he and Zod proceeded to punch each other for 40 more minutes.

@@feliciasteward777 He also made Batman utterly forget about his strict 'no killing' rule (which he has for a very concrete reason, FFS) and casually hose people down with an assault rifle and he turned him into a glorified bus driver with no useful powers other than 'being rich'.
And a lot of the things the Flash did either made no sense at all or would downright have killed people. Which tends to happen when a directer gives a crap about established characters and their powers and decides to completely go style over substance. And then still fails when it comes to style, btw.
BvS and ZSJL writer Chris Terrio addressed the Anti-Life confusion in a live Q&A at the 2023 Full Circle Event.
Terrio said “Ive heard chatter about the Anti-Life Equation”….”how did Uxas/Darkseid lose it as though it were his keys? But we would’ve taken that up in the second episode (JL2). You would’ve understood some of the Apokolyptian betrayals and Palace intrigue that would’ve explained how all that happened. So if ever a miracle happens and more of the story is made, you’ll understand more of that because there was a plan there.”
That's genuinely good that they said that and clarified. Unfortunately, to the average audience member (myself included) who just watches the film and doesn't know about these secondary pieces of info, there is no explanation for it in the film itself. It is good to know they get this was a point of contention though, and sought to address it

To be honest the fall of snyderverse is more of the fault of everyone, Zack Snyder was definitely not the right choice as architect for the DCEU But Warner Brothers are no saints either The way they treated Zack during the production of JL and Having their relationship fall part Is probably one of the most ugliest downfalls of partnerships between a studio and filmmaker Next to the production of aliens 3 with Fox and David Fincher?
Something that people fail to understand is Warner wanted a darker Superman regardless of Snyder's presence. After The Dark Knight, Warner hired story collaborator David Goyer to write a script for a darker Superman movie, and this was before they had a director. Whichever director was hired, we still would've gotten Man Of Steel. Goyer even took credit for one of the more infamous moments, Superman snapping Zod's neck.

If I was Zack or at least a WB executive after Man of Steel I would just have Man of Steel 2, Wonder Woman (Same novel just different ending as the director wanted plus it would be release earlier.) A Ben Affeck spin off batman movie adapting the death in the family storyline (regardless who is robin whether it is jason todd or Dick Grayson the death of robin would explain why Batman is the way he is in Batman V Superman and why he kills people.), Aquaman, The Flash,(Different Flashstoryline not Flashpoint.) Then finally Batman V Superman?

Creatively, he sees exploring the evil side to characters as the key to unlocking some of Warner Bros.' DC properties. "We're going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it," he says. That goes for the company's Superman franchise as well."

I will admit while I don't hate the whole Batman killing people in Batman V Superman I just wish we have an in-universe explanation for why he essentially become the punisher and I think having Ben Affleck spin off film earlier as well as adapting the Death in the family Storyline would be good because at least we would understand the current state he is in Batman V Superman?

You forgot to mention that, allegedly, Snyder hired an ad agency to create an astroturfing campaign to kick the Release The Snyder Cut hashtag into high-gear.
It wasn’t an organic movement of passionate fans, it was a bunch of fans being manipulated just so a man could get his director’s cut released.
There is no denying that WB are partly to blame for the failure of the DCEU. They rushed into it without a plan for what they wanted to accomplish other than wanting to copy Marvel. They put multiple movies into production without waiting for the first one to release and see how people responded. I am referring to how BvS, SS, WW, JL, and AM were shot back to back. The timeline was so compressed that WW was already shooting when BvS came out, and AM was *done* filming when JL came out. If that hadn't happened, it is very possible AM would've been canned altogether.
But this does not absolve Snyder of blame. It was he and Goyer who decided to have Clark snap Zod's neck. Everyone they went to told them not to do it but they did anyway. He is responsible for the mess of BvS, the one movie where he had the most creative control. He is the one who decided to have the DCEU, the first ever iteration of a JL live action universe, take inspiration from Injustice, a storyline that is best suited to an Elseworlds.
And going beyond this, it is clear the guy just doesn't understand what comics mean to people beyond a very narrow, tunnel vision. There is that infamous interview where he says mainstream comics weren't bloody and violent enough for him, and that a truly "dark" Batman movie would have a prison r*pe scene. His adaptation of Watchmen is overly focused on fancy, slow mo fight scenes and making Rorschach cool, when the comic makes it clear that he is a violent psychopath who knows little beyond beating up people. In the lead up to BvS, he gave an interview where he said if two superheroes are talking in costume, it looks silly. And in his world, if Superman saves a cat out of a tree, he will be set upon by arborists for breaking branches. He really has no idea what Superman stands for, other than being an obstacle to be overcome. It is no wonder the only story he could think of was one where Clark becomes evil, because that is the most obvious leap from treating Superman like an obstacle. And I haven't even started on all the wild changes he was making to DC canon like having the Amazons be descended from Kryptonians who crashed on Earth ages ago, or Bruce and Lois having a child together, all while insisting that he was adhering to canon.

Having Jesse Eisenberg is the biggest miscast as Lex Luthor was a bad choice not only is he not bald, he isnt menacing like Lex(he was more threatening in now you see me 2 than here and he was playing a magican). I used to like Ezra miller thought the dude was a good actor and was happy to see him as the flash but while he nailed it as Barry he only nailed it once as the Flash and that was in Justice league snyder cut. His actions outside of the movie made him feel like a bigger miscast as Barry Allen he would have made a perfect Reverse Flash the dude is a menace

as someone who loves the comics and the lore , the fact some people were defending it saying its comic accurte because scenes looked like comic panels was baffling , they banked on the fact that in the first few appereance of batman in 1939 where the character was a bland noir detective and i mean maybe 4 issues to justifying him killing and assisinating his entire growth and development of the character , i felt ashamed of being a DC fan
Also, I recommend Bateman Brave and the Bold as it's a Love Letter to the Silver Age and Batman as a whole(cameo roles for Adam West(played batman in the 60s), Kevin Conroy(Batman in the DCAU), and Mark Hamil(Joker in the DCAU)

When watching, I experienced the same emotions as with the first Avengers, X-Men and Spider-Man, these are all films of my era and considering the fact that Warner did not give it a sequel and how they mocked the actors, this is a shame.
And now, instead of Darkseid and serious superheroics, we will have cringe comedies from James Gunn, where the old actors are the dumbass Sina and the slut Robbie.
As a former fan who tried watching the Main Arc of the DCEU, I cannot deny the story...hasn't aged well. I was a bit fatigued with Marvel's content especially some parts of it not aging well. Such as the horrors of CGI and VFX special effects, the humor being used at nauseoum especially Thor Love and Thunder, the many releases for phases, etcetera. But I still feel the MCU still lives up because between Iron Man to Endgame all stories managed to reach a conclusion rather than a rushed final arc.
That is why I feel the reason why the Snyderverse failed was Warner Brothers, The issues with Snyder as a Director, and issues with how they gave the product.
Warner is still a busy and messy company due to its poor working condtions and issues in the DC universe. Rather than doing their way of films, they tried to copy Marvel's universe and that failed too. They were too eager in producing yet again another dark superhero movie after Nolan left the Dark Knight trilogy, and because of that they hired Snyder.
And sigh, I never got into Snyder's movies. There's something off with the dark lighting as well as the characters acting like a soap opera. I mean what he did with his Snyder Take of Justice League was incredible, I feel he's great at choreography by making it intense but the way the characters are like makes me bored watching it.
Now don't get me wrong I did enjoy some parts of the Snyderverse. I enjoyed the Man of Steel's take of Zodd the most thanks to Zodd's actor, Michael Shannon. I feel Henry Cavill is an underrated Superman that unfortunately didn't capture his full potential but he was great at being heroic. I liked Cavill's Superman outfit and maybe if Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor was given development more, maybe it could've been great.
But the Snyderverse to me is a what if. I'm sure Snyder loves filming and his choreography is incredible. He may be fun to others but personally I sadly don't get it. He's great with the coreography but his work to me feels so....incomplete? And while I did enjoy some pieces of his Snyderverse JLU, it doesn't feel as fulfilling as I hoped. Maybe I was burnt out by cinematic movie trilogies though this movie wasn't a hit for me as I hope. The only reason I enjoyed the Cut was Cyborg and Stepphenwolf and everything was wasted. Too bad the movie's runtime was long and it sucks we never got to see Darkseid in action. Poor Bruce is still the violent vigilante take of Snyder and Superman wasn't able to shine until the last acts. And Snyder always made the "ominous foreshadowing" that he'll always snap and turn evil. Sigh.
That's why maybe we cannot simply revive a beaten horse. We all got our Snyderverse JLU movie and while I enjoy his take I just never got intetested in Snyder. I still feel if much fault is Warner but Snyder to me shouldn't work for a cinematic movie. I never got interested in his movies especially Rebel Moon because why do we have to watch a two parter of a gritty Star Wars take? I hope Snyder becomes a better creator because I'm just unimpressed besides his movie the 500.
The only reason why I enjoyed the DCEU's movies isn't Snyder. But the many other directors who made other movies. Like Joker (2019) or The Batman (2022). Maybe The DCU should focus on superhero one offs on characters or take their own spin on the mythos while still respecting the source material. Overall, I don't despise the Snyderverse I'm just disappointed.
I unapologetically hate the whole Snyderverse with a passion. It was all a thoughtless reaction to both Nolan's Batman and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, trying to be edgy and nihilistic, but it flopped epically. Not only are each of the Snyder's films unoriginal and soulless; the characters are so, so abysmal, they are unrelatable and uninspiring. (And if you think a character who feels sorry for themself is relatable, yet do nothing to improve their life, seek help.)
Superman, the last son of Krypton, who was raised by two kind and humble farmers to help people, is, according to Snyder, Nolan, Goyer, and Terrio, a god-like alien who will use his powers to destroy everyone; as such, in the films, he is violent, emotional, petty, prone to self-pity, misanthropic, and looks down on people, to the point he is just a blue-clad Batman with powers.
Speaking of Batman, he is, paradoxically, exactly like this 'Superman', which is already a mistake, because not only is Batman the one who is meant to see everyone at their very worst; rather than the cold, calculating vigilante who takes crooks by surprise and uses his brains to escape from death traps, he is just a retarted savage who thinks of himself as a savior of mandkind, yet he kills and maims anyone he crosses path with for no reason at all. (There is nothing that helps explains Batman's savage behavior in the film.) It's such a disgrace two of the most important superheroes ever were reunited in such a ridiculous movie by one of the most inmature and narcissistic filmmakers ever, who constantly needs to remind us his insecurities as an artist and person.

Judge the film for what it presented not watch you wish to have projected, which sounds like it damn near ever "Snyder hater and h@te group" seems to do.

That doesn’t make it the right one. A good Superman adaptation that adapted the character correctly would’ve seen him find another way or figure out how to take down Zod without killing him. Plus, Cosmonaut Variety Hour makes the point that if he could snap Zod’s neck with such force that he leaves a shockwave after, then he should have the strength to direct his face away, or fly him up and out of there at the very least

I enjoyed the Snyder cut funny enough. Until the end of it. That flash forward sequence and Martian Manhunter bit was just masturbatory (more so the flash forward) and killed the good will the movie built up. It was the closest his DC movies came to feeling like DC to me. I was scared at first during the first Aquaman scene where he walks backwards into the water and the people start singing. I was immediately thinking “Oh Man…not again, Snyder”. But thankfully, aside from slowo bits I just didn’t care for (like the Aquaman slow walk moment, or some Wonder Woman weird chanting moments, you know the ones), I actually had fun. It was by far the least miserable and dour of the Snyder trilogy.

A combination of the Whedon Cut and the Snyder would've been the best version of the film. Snyder cut took two sittings to finish, and Whedon's cut had too many Whedonisms that didn't mesh with what Snyder set up.

I like the snydercut of the movie its the better version of the Justice league movie however I have doubts of it being 4 hours long. At most it would have stretched to 3 hours. The real crime of the snyderverse was how the studio rushed it. They had Batman v Superman a movie which made no sense because they wanted to get the Avengers without doing proper ground work. Then the justice league on top of that made no sense. But comparing it to the original Justice league movie snyder's story at least made more sense. When it comes to the flash I enjoy his slow mo style. I dont have a problem with his slow mo style but I understand why people hate it and the flashbacks but I enjoy these things especially when its used right. Snyder however over uses it which leads to people despising it

Let me tell you, I have a copy of the Man of Steel novelization, and it's unbelievable in how much it's better than the film. Sure, there are still a few odd things, the dialogue is still a bit clumsy, but the bonus of seeing inside Clark's thoughts makes scenes like Pa Kent's death and Zod being killed make more sense, he feels more like Superman in the story, and there's actually chemistry between Clark and Lois. It's not perfect, but it's better.
I'll give BvS a few things. 1. It set up Wonder Woman. Yes, she felt a bit shoehorned in, but I'll forgive that due to it setting up her solo film, which freaking rules. Yes, I know the subject of Gal Gadot is a bit touchy nowadays, but I won't let that blow back and ruin the film for me. I also know the sequel sucked, but I won't let that ruin it either. 2. I actually think Batman's armor is cool. It's the closest we'll get to live-action Miller Batman, and I'll take it. Now if only the film had taken more than just visual inspiration from DKR, maybe the story would've been better. 3. BvS continued the tradition of Batman films having a cameo by U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy. I just find it funny to keep seeing this funny little old man in these films.
I have nothing good to say about Justice League. I believe both versions are awful, but in their own unique ways. It's amazing, they managed to make two bad movies out of one idea. That takes talent right there.

Coming across this video after the recent BTS photos of them filming the new Superman film and see nearly every DC groups of Snyder fans just roasting the fuck out of the suit and saying that "it's a Cavill wannabe", "the suit looks too loose on him or is padded" and all other bits is just the biggest copium and actually gets nore annoying to listen too. Like I tolerated the fans back when the movement started but once they were never satisfied and then started (unrelated to this series but still from Zack) had made 2 of his films win Oscars (when they were subpar) and then claiming that the Rebel Moon films are the greatest Sci-fi movies ever made and even better then Dune (oh yeah when I think of Sci-fi I think I need 30 mins of slo-mo wheat harvesting), but once they start calling actual good DC content and knocking content that is still in production that looks like they are actually being more faithful and respecting material with their edgier nature as being better is when I cannot take it serious and gets so much more annoying

But you have to understand: these movies were made for the fans. And can be only be enjoyed by the true DC fans who read the comics and invest on these characters.
. . . . I actually read a shit load of DC comics and know each and every story the Snyderverse were inspired from. And its all a piss poor take.
1) Now I am more forgiving on Man of Steel as there are a lot of different origin retellings of Superman including Johb Bryne’s Man of Steel, Mark Waid’s Superman Birthrifhr, Geoff Jones’ Supwrman Secrer Origins, and Max Landis’ Superman American Alien. But for conparisson lets go with Birthrighr which seems like the one Superman Origin that Snyder’s Man of Steel is directly inspired from. Like Birthright was also a more grounded and updated retelling of the character which dwells with the themes of Clark struggling to learn about who he is and his gradual development in becoming accepted as Earth’s champion who inspires others. The thing is Birthright actually pulled off said development and didn’t came across as contrived as you pointed out with the video. I even like how said story present the invading Kryptonian army as merely just a false flag operation by Lex Luthor to sew dissent in public trust towards Superman (which is a lot smartly done that Luthor’s plan in BVS which speaking of. . . . . )
2) Batman v. Superman is clogged up mess of a story that doesn’t do any of the stories it included justice. It failed to do the first meeting of the heroes right compare to how JB Man of Steel pulled off their initial teeth clenched team up which focus the development of the two mutual respect. It failed to understand the meaning of their fight from The Dark Knight Returns which was supposed to be a clash between two long acquainted friends who are now on opposite sides of the law. And it failed to understand the impact of The Death of Superman story which is something that should of been saved for in a movie later down the film universe than at the early stages of the whole thing.
3) ZS Justice League really is just a bloated retelling of New 52 Justice League origin. Like the only difference being is that Steppenwolf is the starting villain instead of Darkseid and there is NO Green Lantern. And worst yet, said movie attempt to evoke the same tone and themes of Pantheon as Grant Morrisson JLA while completely missing the metacontex behind said themes. Doesn’t help that the whole Knightmare sequence was trying to emulate the whole bad future from the Rock of Ages storyline. Point is: you really would have a better time enjoying Justice League by just reading Grant Morrison’s JLA.

@@joshevertonyt Yeah it is depressing, as I legit wanted the film universe to succeed in bringing the characters and their story to the silver screen. But the combination of the questionable logic in the characters, the bleakness in its tone despite Justice League attempt at being more idealistic, and just the constant bastardization of the story does convince me that Snyderverse was just a sinking ship of a franchise.
And the post-Snyder era is just all over the place with quality as they either are some of the best representation of the characters (Aquaman, Shazam, The Suicid Squad, Blue Beetle) or dumpster fires that I regret seeing (Wonder Woman 84, The Flash, Black Adam, Shazam Fury of the Gods)

As a dc fan. I agree with it all. I've always said the same about sender.
I liked most of the DCEU. I didn’t like the original JL film, Birds of Prey or Wonder Woman 1984, but I enjoyed the rest of the films. Especially the extended cuts of Suicide Squad and BvS and the Snydercut of Justice League.
I invested a lot of interest and money into the DCEU franchises over the last ten years and I’m kinda done spending money on it now that the whole thing is being rebooted. I may pick up a film or two, but even then, I seriously doubt it. Which is a shame, because I’ve always been a big DC fan. The merchandise from the James Gunn universe is definitely off the table for me.

I personally didn’t like The Batman and cringe a little when people praises it awesomeness… really break that movie down and there’s some questionable scenes. Im actually gonna defend superman a little bit in Batman V Superman. Bruce kidnapped his mom since this is a darker superman he is more prone to anger and his anger is controlling his action. If someone kidnapped my mom and I had the strength of Superman I would whoop some ass too. However him calling his Mom Martha makes no sense its the I hate sand of this movie but unlike Anakin's hatred of sand which makes sense when you think of his childhood as a slave, this one makes no sense. Superman calling his Ma martha doesnt make sense and I get Snyder wants to draw parallel of them having a mom with the same name. But Bruce hearing his mom's name shouldnt make a 180 happen.
Bruce didn't kidnap his Mum. Lex Luthor did to blackmail him. He was given under an hour to kill batman, or have his Mum killed.

The fighting was so stupid because Clark could've just opened his mouth and revealed Lex's plan, but it appeared as though with batman's taunts, Clark wanted to have his cake and eat it too, because surely, the concern for your mum being brutally killed by human traffickers, outweighs batman annoying you...

Snyder does good action scenes. I’ll give him that. And while he’s a total douchebag, Whedon is not a hack writer.
BOTH versions of Justice League suck. Snyder’s cut suffered from characters doing utterly inexplicable things, often in ways NO decent editor would ever allow. “Does this advance the plot or develop our understanding of a character? No? Then get rid of it.”
Whedon tried to split the difference between many of what were, for him, pretty lame jokes. “I hear you talk to fish” might be forced to do some heavy lifting there, but it’s better than no separation of all between Arthur threatening him and him telling this stranger his deepest secrets, for some reason.
Then there’s the Alfred britsplains tea to Diana scene. That one still has me scratching my head. Does he honestly think she’s never seen tea before? Does he not grasp who Diana is?
And then there’s the joke Whedon put in both movies, a real nard kicker if ever seen one. Hero plants face first in a heroine’s tits. How clever Whedon must feel there, don’t you think?
And the Prima Nocta joke he inserted in Age of Ultron is still something I hold against Tony.

The Batman armor looks better in the animated Dark Knight Returns movie which is more true to the comic than Batman v Superman is. The comic is antigun but Batfleck is pro gun which is opposite of what Batman stands for. Batman hates guns.
As a Big fan of the work made by Zack Snyder Chris Terrio and S Goyer (i prefer to give credit mainly to these 3, bc they together are who gave the dceu the main identity imho that i liked.)
in these movies i think many of the issues are simply .. artists with not the most sociable perception playing and main audiences not connecting. & while I could start adressing many of the points you mention (many of wich i disagree) i think it would barely change anyone's mindset... Bc at the end, even if they made sense to you. Your experience still would be a negative one, the pieces you wanted werent there. and the pieces already there dont have the shape you or many others would prefer.
to CONCLUDE: When these artist wanted to play inside a new enviroment exploring these characters, this story just... well. wasnt for many. I dont think these were perfect movies, and i do agree they have certein flaws about how they deliver certein information, but watching many of the same points i (and many other fans) have adressed years ago (10 years), being brought back here, makes me think, well... maybe this just wasnt the story for the general audience. But it was what a lot of others needed, and with pretty fair and loving reason. ♥ Have a good day sir. interesting video.

People can have their own opinions, and I think in the age of the internet and social media, people forget this. Everyone is gonna have a different opinion on things and you don’t have to agree and shouldn’t attack people who think these movies are shit like people in these comments are doing.
My personal opinion: any movie that A. Wasn’t Shazam and B. Wasn’t released before 2022, was absolute ass. As a comic reader, I didn’t like most of what Snyder did in his movies. I loved Batman VS Superman when it was in the pages of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, and when it was an unproduced script written by Akiva Goldsman and Andrew Kevin Walker, but when it was done in the movie, I didn’t like it at all.
TLDR: I didn’t like the snyderverse and you shouldn’t shit on my or others opinion because of that.

I prefer Batman to be more lean like Pattison because he’s a ninja. A bulky Batman seems to be more of an older Batman thing. Which Ben is but still. Batman in my eyes is lean mean fighting machine.
I'd go as far as saying BvS is arguably the worst CBM of all time. This was my most anticipated film ever, and I couldn't wait to see it. I remember leaving the theatre opening night and being genuinely devastated at how bad it was.
