Great video that gets right to the point.
One thing to note is to also not put the headband too low on the back as well.
At least for me, it spawns a headache if I put it too low.
For me, it needs to be just above the base of my skull, and then I can wear it with no discomfort.
But putting at right at the base of my skull is a no go.

I'm definitely gonna save this vid for later when I get mine in a couple of months , thank you. I'm new to VR lol only just got my PSVR 1 for cheap like about 5 months ago from Walmart ( got lucky with the price lol only 249$CAD . They were trying to get rid of them cause they had to leave em in the back lol) so far I'm sold on VR. PSVR 2 looks amazing, upgrades especially. After setting up my PSVR 1, I can see why it's a chore lol that breaker box with it , camera set up, how the move controllers work etc lol it's something else 😆 but after testing some games , worth the set up. Seeing how easy PSVR 2 is to set up and hearing how better the tracking is compared to PSVR 1 is great too hear , especially with how good some of the experiences look .
Definitely subbed after this for more VR info 🤟

Great tips thank you. I didn’t know you get a prescription lens to fit on headset, that’s brilliant. When playing GT7 for long periods of time I have been wearing a beanie hat, it makes the headset a lot more comfy and doesn’t leave a ridge on my bald head 🤣

Nice big tips. Got some prescription lenses on the way too, I dont wear glasses in VR but I am short sighted to a degree, I dont think it effect the visuals that much but I think it may make a small improvement so I'm gonna give them a try! And extra trick from me is to simply slide the controllers down your wrists (if your hands are small enough) when you need to grab a drink or use your keyboard or whatever, its so easy and one of my favorite things about the Sense controllers, it's so easy to just slide them back down into your hands too.

Then you can go back to video output and turn 120hz back on so both will be on. 🙏

A few things about the topic of poor tracking on PSVR 2:
The four cameras lenses on the headset should not have an obstructed view of the Sense Controllers, nor should the ambient lighting in the play be too bright.
In your clip shown @0:50, both of mistakes are present; those being an overly illuminated room and a microphone in front of the bottom-right camera.
The PSVR 2 headset tracks the Sense Controllers by the infrared light that they emit from within the their rings and things such as natural sunlight or even a large TV can interfere with the camera's tracking sensors.
So, it is best to play in an environment with the least amount of lighting as possible and closing window curtains to block sunlight and turning off the television (especially in the dark) will greatly improve the headset's performance.
    👍

Great tips, really helped me out and immediatly bought the V R-Rock lenses with the sponsor reduction, however VR Rock lenses are made in China and though with some extra money they're EXPEDITED quicker, THEN they still need to be sent from China to your place and that takes a lot longer than the expected 5-10 days, when you think they should arrive... because they're put on the plane (boat?) in China within 5-10 days... (if you pay extra...) BUT in the end it is all worth it I hope... Also bought the IR lights, hope it works better in poor light

Thanks for the video! I am new to this technology and your information has what I am looking for. I plan to purchase PS5 Digital Edition, and want to use PSVR2 as the display. Did you say using PSVR2 as the display do not allow multi-player PS5 games? Can you use PSVR2 controllers for PS5 games? I'd appreciate some advice!

    • @DiscoVRTetiana
      @DiscoVRTetiana  Рік тому

Hey! You can play multiplayer games using PSVR2 as the display, you will just need to purchase Playstation Plus. Regarding what I mentioned in the video, there is a specific setting that will increase the refresh rate on your PSVR2, and that will disable mirroring the game onto your TV, but if you don't change that setting then you will be fine. Regarding controllers, it will depend on a game - in some games these controllers can be used interchangeably, but generally it is more convenient to use a regular controller with PS5 games :)

I'm liking mine so far and I'm still playing horizon which I think is amazing so I don't get the hate but this is also my first virtual reality experience. I just wish there was a way to make it where you could play a game and have it not look like you're looking through binoculars when you're playing it. I know it's strapped to your head but it still takes out a little of the immersion for me when I can still see the black around my eyes when I'm playing. My biggest pet peeve is I took mine out of the box and put it on and the lenses were dirty. I still don't know why they can't make like scuff proof or lenses that don't get anything on them seems like I'm constantly wiping mine off even though I never touch mine. Maybe it's my eyebrows touching them but still I'm constantly stopping and wiping them off.

Hi Tetiana, I thought you would be interested in this comment on MRTV regarding Pimax Crystal. I just subbed your channel based on you honest comments about it.
    B B
    11 minutes ago (edited)
I think Tetiana's thoughts focus on the BIGGEST ISSUE with Pimax. I don't trust them to SHIP SOMETHING THAT WORKS AS PROMISED. I have such limited time that I need something to put on and it works. No point having a Ferrari if it has no wheels. To be clear - her review now would be......'don't bother'. If you are relying on it working on specific cards-it's DOA. You guys kind of asked her dumb questions, but she is FAR more capable than average users. You guys needed to let it go - it was like you didn't believe her? Seb got it right in the end - Pimax just isn't a smooth experience it seems. That's why I'll be waiting for at least this level of capability from Valve or Vive.
Also you guys should ask yourselves....are you reviewing this headset, or are you beta testing it and providing feedback?
    Thanks for the honest feedback

    • @DiscoVRTetiana
      @DiscoVRTetiana  Рік тому

Wow you really nailed it down with your comment, indeed it felt like reviewing a beta product rather than a final headset - you will not be happy if you want a plug-and-play experience. If you set your tracking area to standing it will allow you to control the size of your play area. This does not affect the in game setting for standing or sitting....for example i play most all VR games sitting on a stool but have my play area set for standing.

The in game height is set to Ethan meaning that you are whatever height Ethan is in the game in comparison to everything else in the game You cannot be shorter or taller than Ethan is in game. As for your play area, once you set it, you should alnost never have to set it again unless you change the configuration of the space. I play games in my office and literally have only had to reset my play area twice, once when I first got the headset and again when I reconfigured the space to make more room for VR. If your space still feels small you have to make sure that you are positioned in the center of the area you have. From that center position you want to stretch your arms out in all directions, if at any point you trigger the boundary warning you will need to either make space push the boundaries past objects that wouldn't interfere with you playing VR (i have a couch in my office that is at my back and I push the boundaries over the couch because it doesn't interfere with me playing VR, or accept that your space is not very conducive for VR. You can also turn down the sensitivity of approaching the boundaries. Sometimes it will trigger the boundary warning if you are getting close to the edge of the designated area but haven't actually come to it. This is good so you don't hit your TV or a wall or something but if you are sitting and clearly have the space tun the setting to low and it will only trigger when you are actually extending past your boundary.

      @@bagginbrooks6573
There is a crouch button....pressing in on the right analog stick.....perhaps you are crouch walking the entire game. 🤣 i don't think there is a way to remap the buttons if that is the case. You would know if you are crouch walking because your basic movement speed is dramatically reduced and running has a bit of a start up animation when sprinting from a crouched position. I noticed when things got hectic I would panic crouch trying to move the camera around so don't feel too bad if you have been crouch walking this entire. Just say that you've been roleplaying as a stealth Ethan🤣🤣🤣

How much is too much mura? I've tried all the tips I can find but it's still very noticeable to me. Very pronounced, similar to PSVR 1. Just unsure if it's a "me" issue or if it is the headset possibly being bad. I can be patient if it's a software fix, I just don't want to miss my warranty timing if it truly is a bad headset.

The key is making short VR sessions, and remove the headset as soon as you feel nauseous. Some people are more sensitive to it and it's ok! When I started the channel at first it was hard for me to use VR for dynamic experiences for longer than 15 mins. Your brain gets used to it. But don't push it, stop as soon as you feel any discomfort. If you expose yourself to it regularly you will notice you are able to spend more and more time in VR :) some tips that may help, drink a lot of water, ginger tea is very good at fighting cybersickness, also place a fan in front of you so that it blows while you're in VR. It helps!

@@DiscoVRTetiana T.y. for reply, but I fail to see how I can have a session, when the sickness kicks in immediately. I got my VR2 yesterday, and I tried again today, though before my brain had recovered. My perception even as I type this, is altered, and my sense of depth of field gives me the same or similar sense of discomfort as I look at my phone. I think healing takes many days each time.
EDIT: Wait a min., can you take the lenses out, and is a microfibercloth the same as a silkcloth I have been using?

Thank you for the tips but I have to say, nothing improves the image quality, for me. It’s so annoying, as I’m unsure if mines faulty or if psvr2 is just lower quality then I expected. Like Lakers say, your psvr2 looks great. You may be like, you’re deff doing something wrong and I’d totally understand you thinking this but, maybe just maybe , some psvr2 has defects. Especially the lens.
I’m really disappointed that early reviewers, basically lied to us and I’m upset that Sony kept showing psvr2 footage BUT that was pass through pic on tv and NOT the image, we get in headset. I’ve never tried vr, so why wouldn’t I believe that the image Sony show, is image we get. Simple solution, would be Disclaimer This Video Image IS NOT representative Of The Image In Game. But if Sony did that, nobody would buy it. Watching freeview tv at 570p is like ultra hd compared to psvr2. 570p and my Nintendo switch in handheld at 720p looks stunning. How on earth can psvr2 be 2K per eye hdr etc and looks like absolute shit. Oh and not only is the image shocking, tracking isn’t great and motion sickness, is a motherfucker. I’m trying to get past the poor poor poor image but it’s so hard as it’s right on my eye balls. Only gsmes that look acceptable are indie type like 1 In particular called Thumper Vr but resident evil village looks absolutely horrible. I’m in the mansion with all the gold light fittings etc and the whole image has that nasty shimmering effect, even when standing still. Anyway, I’m gonna shut up now because I’m just rambling.

In the same boat as you but I started accepting graphics. It is what it is…yes, we expected more and basically they fooled us into believing its spectacular when it isnt. If you like fps games buy Pavlov its really fun, i felt rather sick in the begining but now I can play for almost an hour and its ok and Ive been playing only for few days 30 minutes a day. Just take it slowly, take frequent rests. What also helps me is that when Im standing I have a couch behind me that is touching my calves, that way I know Im in the right place all the time and helps a bit with motion sickness too. Use pass through often also and you will slowly grow your VR legs. Some suggest lowering brightness to 70% to reduce mura effect, try that…and also when adjusting headset just make sure letters in the settings look sharp, then the games will also look best possible.

It's probably just me, but I think that the resolution and clearness look to be only about a half step up from the first psvr..I don't get all the praise for the resolution being crystal clear..And being advertised as 4k hdr visuals is totally misleading...Does it look better than psvr 1? Of course..Is it a huge step up? I feel it really isn't, when it comes to resolution and clearness..

You may be not at the standard sweet spot. There is a very tight sweet spot that when your visibility knob is set right looks super clear & amazing. This is 100% a HUGE step up from original psvr1. WAY smoother, I can totally tell it's I'm 4k. I never get sick from this headset, controllers last a LONG time, & I can play for lile 4 hrs straight no problems. You may not have found the right visibility knob setting, & or found the correct sweetspot for it to be clear and non blurry. It's also easy to lose the sweet spot so gotta realign every hour or so.

I'm really disappointed in the PSVR2 cinematic mode. Being a more advanced system, I was expecting an upgrade like a 3-D movie theater setting like those you see on the PC. But it just the same as the earlier version. Just a large screen hanging in a dark void.
