I have PSVR and Quest and personally think the benefits of a wired computer surpass the benefits of wireless stand-alone. But this will be different for different individuals. For me, Hhaving to charge is so frequent a pain when play-time is so short, and using an external battery introduces as much "fuss" as having a cable in the first place. Again, just my preference.
Worst part is Meta could fix the battery life issue and improve comfort all in one move just put another battery at the back as a counter weight and would double the playtime it should just be standard not another purchase
@@weplayvrgames Yes! A cantilevered, user-detachable battery would accomplish many things. But this is also true for most modern electronics in a great number of cases.
With quest just hook up a battery on your hip. On psvr the controllers die just as quick and you can't easily play and charge. This is what kills psvr2 imo.
I have both quest 2 and psvr2 but psvr2 my main gaming system the graphics , haptics, adaptive triggers and blacks are just next level. Also played vrfx zero latency yesterday (0utlast) and really missed the haptics of psvr2, haptics are so important for vr they add so much.
If I’m so honest, the fact you’re having to create filler videos like this after a year of release is worrying. It speaks volumes about the lack of content for the device. I’m not yet regretting my purchase but I’m getting slightly irritated at seeing quests release schedule towards ps (especially when many of the games that release on both come out much later on ps)
Idk if I should get a quest 3 or psvr2. The only game on PS5 I'd use it for is GT7 and I feel like that would be so much fun. I mainly want to use the VR for VR mods(Cyberpunk 2077) or other VR games on PC. Idk if I should get the psvr2 with the pc accessory, or if I should just go with the quest 3 instead? I heard that the quest 3 has better image quality while the psvr2 has better colors because of it being OLED. Idk what to get.
I would suggest to newcomers to not go till you feel kinda motion sick and then stop. Psvr2 was my first headset and I played for hours never feeling sick... until about 1 hour after I returned to reality lol soo might be better to be methodical
Luckily VR only made me a bit sick for a few days at first before I adapted to it. A few games can still make me slightly queezy. But I mean, they should when I'm spinning around out in space 😂. Luckily no real sickness though. I'm happy my brain decided to play nice with VR
I noticed that you have used both VR Rock and VR Wave lenses now. How would you compare them? I’m looking into purchasing one with prescription in mind because I currently use glasses within the headset. I use psvr and am heading into psvr2
they’re very similar in terms of design and function, but at the moment i’m using the non-magnetic VR-Rock lenses, as they have a cutout for your nose so lower-IPD users don’t get squished haha. However, either will do you just fine depending on whether you want quick-swappable magnetic lenses or not!
@@Jammyhero I didn’t know about the cut out for the nose, lol that’s great to have for vr! And I think I’ll do the same for non-magnetic, I don’t have a reason to take them out often unless I need to clean the main lenses on the headset itself. Thank you for your feedback! Amazing content 🙌 It’s cool that you’re covering games and topics about the vr space too, it’s awesome.
Even though I have long since got my VR legs I still use a fan when in VR. Firstly, because I get quite hot when playing intense games that require a lot of movement, and secondly, because a fan blowing at you whilst driving an F1 car at 200 mph adds to the immersion 😁 Oh, just to add. UEVR, game changer! Tis all I'm gonna say.
@shadowandtomnlabgame3276 I've only tried mine, so I don't know what to compare it to, but I used an old 90's tech called an Aura Interactor and it's great. It's old tech though, so you have to use adapters to hook it up to your audio source.
They aren't selling many psvr2 headsets to justify replacement parts. Used, some folks are selling them for 200 a pair. There isn't many out in the wild, and the psvr2 with controllers are about 300 used. Even then people aren't interested. Meta quest3 still go for 400 used, and they sell quick. Psvr2 is a flop, maybe PC will save it. I'm buying a used psvr2 for PC use. For the price, it can't be beat on PC. But not priced new, plus cost of the adapter.
@oneanother1 I disagree that it was a "flop" I think vr is still a very niche market and has still got a long way to go till it gets to the mainstream audience, I don't think limiting the market it already has will benefit the system at all , also why would some1 buy a 2nd hand controller for £300 when a quest is literally about £300 , I get your view and understand but I don't agree aha 😉
@@oneanother1 you are ignoring/undervaluing adaptive triggers in vr, face rumble and hdr. AND GT7. vr2 is no flop, it is neglected by sony and fed by ignorance by the likes of the chodes at IGN. xbox is a dumpster fire but noobs have let it get away with no vr, no gyro, no adaptive triggers, no haptics for over a decade. vr2 is amazing, and i cant wait for it run on steamvr, and not be tied to sonys fking atrocious audio 'solutions' and other console restraints. oh, and fk facebook/oculus.
@@joejoe2658 let's hope the psvr2 can get real nice support for its feature set as time goes buy. It all depends on if it can get a big enough userbase so games can be developed for it. I've been waiting forever to get into vr that is decent enough to buy. The time is now. The ps5 will be around for a long time I bet.
That is very annoying. I don't know why you wouldn't sell spare controllers and cables for a VR. It's a VR. People are going to uppercut a wall once in a while and break controllers. What are your consumers supposed to do? Their expensive toy just turned into an expensive paper weight due to no solution to a simple problem and obviously forseen problem. I hope Sony is replacing or selling controllers to those that need them and inquire. I know PSVR2 isn't the most popular headset, but why isn't this there from the start
I wish I'd known that Sony would pretty much give up on their peripheral that costs more than their console. No real plan for backwards compatibility of the PSVR1 library, no GoW, no TLOU, apparently no Astrobot sequel. Imagine if Nintendo had a VR headset without Mario/Zelda/Metroid...unthinkable. That all being said, I will never give a dime to Meta.
I find that the stock setup for psvr2 is very comfortable, but I bought the globular cluster comfort mod anyway. It did increase the comfort a bit but the real game changer for me is the top strap. It really locks the psvr2 in place on your head and keeps the sweet spot excellently.
