- Episode 4 of the Supermoto BuiLDH. In this Build series we get to pimp out a 500 EXC -18 and now with some supermoto rims. Maybe I'll get another wheel set for the track and those might be even more custom, and when I say custom I MEAN IT!!! Cuz I know that SmProWheels can do some Epic stuff!
I got:
Front: 17"x3.5"
Rear: 17"x5" with Cush Hub.
Both are 17"-wheels (if you plan on riding any type of street 16.5" isnt for you. Hard to find road tires for 16.5 and slicks on the road dont get the temp up = they are Slippery!!)

I bought a Continental sm attack 160/60 on my ktm exc and it fits, I don't have a cush hub. The chain doesn't eat the rubber. They are EXTREMELY good tires. Best tires ever! Cost quite a lot but are VERY grippy. I have been riding supermoto with these tires and they just don't ever slip. But soft rubber -> not very durable.
you need another breaking system bro. enduro front break is way too weak for street use!

the street gearing on my 530 was 15-42 :O and when I had a 5in rear Pirelli tires didnt rub for me as other brands did
So if the chain gets cought with the 17x5.00 wheel and 160/60 r17 tire, what Tire can I get for 17x4.50 rear wheel?

for tires i use Michelin Pilot Power for both, my Husaberg, as well as for my Z1000

Would you say the suspension is firm enough now? Or do you need an aftermarket setup?
What brand mirrors are those? Didn’t catch what you said, but I can’t stand the stock mirrors on my Ktm.
So tell me about the Sportsmart2 Max. What are they capable of, for example rain/wet street? Atm having Conti Sport Attack 2 on my SM 610 ie, which handle good in the dry, but slide so bad on wet street :(

the old dunlop SS2max 160 is like the new dunlop SS2max 150, i made the same mistake going with the 160 but they didnt have the 150 out then...

My SMPro wheels are due to arrive any day and I want to change the gearing at the same time, what size chain would you recommend with the 14 - 44 sprocket setup?

The continental sport attack 3 lasts like 3-4 times longer has the same grip when its dry and much better grip in the rain (attack sm are just slippery af on wet streets)
Attack sm are just some old technology now tbh
The grip on dry streets is by far better on the Attack SM ;) At least that was my experience after two days of hardcore track riding ^^
Theres no matter what tire is on the back wheel because you burn it anyways. #14tireslastsummer
