Wombat most people buy this bike for off road. For a bike this good you have to pay the high price. I think if ktm fitted the blinkers etc it would be another 2k on top.

I see it as a weight thing. 2017 Husqvarna 701 weighs ~145kg, dry. The KTM 500 EXC is 108kg dry Another thing is that the 701 supermoto is pre-built while the 500 is an enduro. Not much of a build series for the 701 lol
Is it not easier and more accurate to place the scale on your stand, slighty lift the rear of the bike (we did see you flex them guns...) and having your beautiful assistant (also known as the queen of the castle aka the power over everything) push it in place and measure the whole lot in one move and also reducing risk of any engineering nazi trying to debunk your method?

Is it street legal?! The answer is NO! It has blinkers and mirros, but you can't drive a EXC with 12-15 HP... And if you drive it with the real 50-60 HP it isn't legal anymore! You can register it with 60 HP but its still not 100% legal!
If I did that cleanup here in Australia I'd find at least 100 spiders and the remains of the last guy who tried
