Tim just can't catch a break! But so far so good. I've read Zdarsky's Daredevil (largely from your recommendations) and I'm really looking forward to seeing where he goes with Batman while trying not to make it feel too similar to Daredevil. Also Joel, did you see that they released the final issue of Tynion's Joker? I thought the book had finished but there was one more to go.
Or it could be like the dark multiverse murder machine where he try’s to make an AI ALFRED or brother eye or iron man and ultron what is it with billionaires creating evil AI 🤨
I loved both stories in the book -- the main story is really resonant and tonally perfect, art's great too. The back-up had The Executor though, who I've only known for half an issue but would die for.
Cool idea, but without a permanently changing canon this actually very, very dark end for Pinguin can't land the punch it should be able to. Also, Tim getting severely injured felt unnecessary, and, not gonna lie, I had Rick Grayson flashbacks LOL
1:14 damn that’s grim, and I’m supposed to be the negative one. also you can't have another run without trying to kill a robin. first tim for rebirth, then dick from tom king, and now tim again. I think the failsafe is pretty obvious that if batman ever killed and made headlines that drone or robot would come and stop him because only batman can only be so paranoid and prepared for something like this.
Good issue tough I do think it’s time for a new Robin. Nothing against Tim Drake(he was never my Robin I got into Batman with the Grant Morrison Damien stuff) but if we’re seeing Damian moving in his own direction I would rather see someone new in the role.
@@Dhampir101980 five? There are like 10 or 15 already, they just don't use "Robin" anymore. There's no difference between someone like Signal and Robin, sidekick is sidekick.
I’m gonna wait until we are 20 issues in to judge. I’ve been bamboozled when the first couple of issues are good. But solid start, but what’s up with the Bat family always getting shot, beat up? Ughhh!
I have no problem with them breaking up I just hate not knowing why there doing the same think with spiderman and Mary Jane and eluding to this big event that we didn’t see or dc broke them up cuz of all the talia and Damian storyline in the robin cover art it shows a family photo of Batman talia and Damian so Bruce is likely gonna get back with talia for a while 😐 those are my theories but most likely there gonna get back together
@@michaelharmon8960 I'm just telling you what I read in the other books. Damian wants to be independent and Tailia is now on the run as a Double agent for Cameron Chase.
I think the whole Batman catwomen wedding is still making peeps salty cuz first they creat and event centered around bat/cat getting married then they sed NOPE and then made it into a what if mini series
You'd think they'd let any other batfamily members be the lead in other batman comics to try and diversify like what they did before the new 52. I really miss Red Robin and Steph's Batgirl Solo comics.
Defintely giving Penguin the Danny DeVito look

It was a good start. Even the backup got me intrigued.
I’m throwing a guess out, Bruce made a contingency to have a robot murder him if he ever broke bad.
Or maybe protect the city if the ever went to jail. Both ideas sound very likely to me.

Favorite Penguin Stories of the last 20 years:
Penguin: Pain & Prejudice
He Who Laughs Last

I don't think penguin has just died. he's definitely playing some games .
Favorite Penguin story…….
Batman Returns? This is a losing battle isn’t it?
I love that one of the Jokers in the dream is Batman Beyond Joker!!

It was a solid start yet it feels it's playing safe. Hope that changes later
I liked this story, but I’m curious where this fits in continuity
I am just happy Tim drake ronin is good book again.

No more new Robins, please. 5 of them is more than enough

Thanks for keeping me updated I'm picking this up later today
At this point, I prefer the webcomic Batman Family. So wholesome and real

Its their lot in life it seems.
GO BATMAN 😀😎👍🤘❤🦇
damn this looks pretty hype
The book was great!. Although certain word enunciations gave me frank miller vibes Lmao
The final Joker issue has more of a homage to Year One.
My favorite penguin story is done by Tom king and Alex Ross in which penguin beats Batman. The story is titled “The PengWIN!!!!!”
Pro: Tim gets screen time
Con: he gets shot in the neck
Poor Tim they just bring him back to suffer. Lol
So sad that Batman isn't super duper ultra rich anymore. Just Super duper rich.
I'm sorry, what's the difference? It's like saying infinity minus 1.
Chip on bman??????

Uuuuh if you've been reading the Robin book they make it very very clear Batman and Talia are not getting back together at all.
@@CapedJoel I thought you didn’t care about romance drama in comics ?
Also I meant Batman and catwomen getting back together marvel and dc never permanently stray from the status quo
Also also people don’t have to be in a relationship to have sex

I’m really tired of Batman, but I also like Chip Zdarksy, can he break the curse of my slowly boiling hatred of Batman? Let’s find out.

👍
Didn’t Bruce Wayne and Selena JUST GET MARRIED?!?!
Yes and No. they got married in Tom King’s Batman/Catwoman series, but it’s set outside of regular continuity.
