My mother died of dementia and Trump shows many of the signs that my mother did. Outbursts of aggression, slurring words, memory loss, inability to focus on a subject, etc etc. The thought that a man probably suffering from this and who might just be President of the most powerful country in the world is simply terrifying for the people of the U.S and the rest of the world. After caring for my husband in his seven year battle with dementia, I have become acutely aware of Trump’s cognitive decline for the last eight years. Trump is in ever increasing decline and will not be fit for the office he seeks.
As a former dementia therapist I concur with the above comments. When you've managed dementia confusion on a daily basis you see how Trump fits all the symptoms. Dissociation, aphasia disorientation. And yet the ignorance persists wilfully around him. Losing his properties the only thing that defines him and increasing court appearances will be the ultimate step on the " criticsl path .
I'm watching my Mom going through the word salad phase right now. She talks up a storm and no one has any idea what she's trying to say but her so we just go along with it and have a grand chat.

There was NO crime in Trump's real estate case, no victim, no one lost money, everyone got paid, and the buyer agreed to pay the asking price on Trump's real estate, based on his own appraisal. Anyone who buys real estate would be smart enough to rely on their own appraiser. Trump didn't force people to buy a property nor did he force them to pay the asking price.

And there were at least 50 ( I think the number was actually much higher ) psychiatrists and other mental health professionals who convened at Harvard and in their unanimous professional opinion individually signed a document sounding the alarms and warning this country back in 2016 that Trump was not fit to serve. It wasn't dementia at the time but other very serious psychiatric conditions and 8 years later ....here we are back revisiting the same unfitness -- this time dementia. Wake Up America !

Honestly, I couldn't care less if my guy has dementia or SA'd a child. All I care about is that *my* guy wins. I'm suffering from depression, my life has no meaning or purpose. I need this win. I guess as some sort of desperate attempt to think that I'm a part of something or that my life matters. I know this may sound pathetic, but my guy winning is the ONLY thing good going on in my life right now. If he loses then I have absolute nothing.
It won’t serve your mental health any benefit to place your hopes or future happiness in any human regardless of who they may be. And I certainly wouldn’t place it on a lying, cheating, mentally failing, narcissistic sociopath, that Trump is.
Scary thing is, he wouldn't be removed from office no matter how bad he got.

His enablers, family, and others are doing him no favours by denying these facts. The duty to flag this up (professionally) and get him assessed is crucial now. He is a clear and present threat, danger to himself, the population and in a wider more sinister context.
Confusion is Trump's entire schtick.

I worked in a nursing home for a while
People with severe dementia sometimes get violent and attack their caregivers. I am very concerned about this with Trump, especially when he has a history of advocating violence that goes back as far as elementary school, when he slugged a teacher. His parents sent him away to a military academy because he was out of control. I suspect we will see him have to be pinned to the wall and sedated before election day.

OK, I watched my mother go down the dementia path and it wasn't pretty. Now I'm starting to see it in my sister-in-law. And I'm definitely seeing it in Trump. All it takes is someone who has been there to see it. You only need to be a doctor to diagnose it professionally.
We have dozens and dozens of professionals who don't have to see a patient in person to see what is obvious.
