As a first responder it is good to see that the person who could have caused some of the most distraction paid the mind to halt everything and let the medics work. As a first responder I was awe struck by this. Props to Trump and the crowd for their respect and courtesy for the people working that scene. It is hard enough. Trying to save someone drains you (physically) fast. The distractions would have added to that.

I've stood in line for two Trump rallies. I'm in very good physical condition, but still, it is very challenging to wait in line for all those hours, and then even more during the rally. It's well worth the challenge, yes, but nevertheless, there will almost always be someone in the crowd who just cannot endure. I've seen that Trump is always gracious about pausing the speech, and always gives thanks to the medics. This is a true leader, exactly what we need. That’s a good point. He led a crowd of thousands into silence without even telling them to. Which is incredible, since not everyone could see what was going on, and was just following the crowd cues. Great leader.
I feel like that may have been the first time Trump has seen someone get CPR up close. If you've never seen chest compressions in real life it is quite a shock. On TV they make it seem so simple, but in reality you are pushing with A LOT of force and the chest moves up and down REALLY far. It's hard to describe unless you actually see it, and his reaction to it is how a lot of people react their first time seeing it in person up close.

When EMT helped someone in the audience at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids at a rally prior to his election , Trump explained he was pausing to let medics focus on their care for someone in the audience. The audience started singing Amazing Grace. It was so well handled on all levels, the medics, the audience, and Trump.
Greensboro Fire, Police and Guilford County Emergency Medical Services are special people who care about the community and have always worked to provide us excellent and efficient care. We also have amazing County part volunteer/paid departments in our surrounding smaller communities and unincorporated areas. It's nice that people were able to witness their work due to this event.
Anyone who think he's just a showman should watch this. Hoots and hollers in the crowd from some who didn't realize what was happening, and complete, respectful silence and observation of the scene from DJT.

To stop your speech the moment you notice something is wrong and let the medics work in as much peace as possible considering the room is packed to the rim with supporters, well wishers and campaigners. As a first responder I was awe struck by this. Props to Trump and the crowd for their respect and courtesy for the people working that scene. It is hard enough. Trying to save someone drains you (physically) fast. The distractions would have added to that.

I've stood in line for two Trump rallies. I'm in very good physical condition, but still, it is very challenging to wait in line for all those hours, and then even more during the rally. It's well worth the challenge, yes, but nevertheless, there will almost always be someone in the crowd who just cannot endure. I've seen that Trump is always gracious about pausing the speech, and always gives thanks to the medics. This is a true leader, exactly what we need. I feel like that may have been the first time Trump has seen someone get CPR up close. If you've never seen chest compressions in real life it is quite a shock. On TV they make it seem so simple, but in reality you are pushing with A LOT of force and the chest moves up and down REALLY far. It's hard to describe unless you actually see it, and his reaction to it is how a lot of people react their first time seeing it in person up close.
Yup. It's common for a rib or two to get cracked as well. You need to compress the chest around 2 inches, which requires over 100 pounds of force.

When EMT helped someone in the audience at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids at a rally prior to his election , Trump explained he was pausing to let medics focus on their care for someone in the audience. The audience started singing Amazing Grace. It was so well handled on all levels, the medics, the audience, and Trump.
Greensboro Fire, Police and Guilford County Emergency Medical Services are special people who care about the community and have always worked to provide us excellent and efficient care. We also have amazing County part volunteer/paid departments in our surrounding smaller communities and unincorporated areas. It's nice that people were able to witness their work due to this event.
Anyone who think he's just a showman should watch this. Hoots and hollers in the crowd from some who didn't realize what was happening, and complete, respectful silence and observation of the scene from DJT.
