Hello Ashley! What an incredible trip & epic finish with that via ferrata! Wow!!! Must admit my palms got a little sweaty watching that one! Loved it though!!! Everything about your Swiss adventure has me interested in making the trip one day! I especially like your style of travel. Research but allow for flexibility. I follow your channel & really enjoy the content. So much so that your Iceland trip inspired me to go also. It was one of the best trips I've ever taken. I'm now eager to start planning a Switzerland 🇨🇭 adventure!!! Thank you for sharing your travels & experiences! Looking forward to your next adventure! Best Always....Bob V

@@akfasso I skipped right over the via ferrata part, I'm so attracted to those types of hiking, but I'm afraid to even think about setting foot on those edges.

@@ervinslens Well, it seems like you do some pretty cool hikes yourself! I'll have to check out your Austria videos. I think that may be next for me. ;)

I’m surprised to see that your guide didn’t even learn to use the karabiners properly. You clip in one from the front of the cable and one from the back, so the gates oppose each other. This minimizes the risks of opening them both when you grab them in case of a slip or fall.

I’ve learned about this since arriving home. I do recall him showing this to someone else in our group midway through the experience, but I was just out of earshot, so I kept doing it the way that you see in the video. Now I know better for next time!

Hi. I will visit Murren this june and it is solo travel. I am thinking about this via ferrata and worried it might be dangerous. Hiring a guide is much expensive compared to just rent the equipment. Therefore, do you think it is doable without the guide for first timer?
And, as for walking on tightrope, it looks very challenging. is it too difficult for first timer?

Hi there! This is a dangerous via ferrata. Have you done a via ferrata before anywhere else? Do you hike/climb regularly? I think the answer should be determined by your skillset. It is certainly possible to do this without a guide, but I would strongly discourage that if this is a new experience for you. The tightrope was one of the easiest parts. With all of that being said, I am SO glad I did the tour. Now that I’ve done the experience once with a guide, I would feel confident going back solo. (Also important to note: you can not do the zipline portion of this without a guide)
