I know this is an old video, but I'd recommend clipping your carabiners with the gate facing opposite directions. The main two reasons are that first, you are much less likely to unclip both by accident, something that may happen when exhausted and the attention span falls. And the other is that it is also much less likely for both of them to accidentally open and unclip themselves (from banging into rocks, wedging against something, etc. When the gates face the same direction, the same wedge could open both, but when facing the opposite, it's incredibly unlikely for the same incident to open both)
I have done a few of these routes. Going in with apprehension is what gets you hurt. I take these routes knowing something can happen. You go prepared then adjust as needed. If you go in scared, guarantee you are going to fail.
Recuerda siempre siempre siempre con el disipador una puerta hacia dentro y la otra hacia fuera Always always remember with the sink one door inwards and the other outwards
@@karlhoff6285 No, you're still belayed, but coming from a trad climbing background you dont pull yourself up by the rope unless as a last resort ... you rock climb with the cable and harmess just as protection.
Do not trust to much to the wire... It can be having cut from falling rock, if you take the longe crossing your arm you will have a smoother progression and not have to go backwards
The immitation of the music and the speech about looking stupid at the end was kinda wanna look cool stuff, but still, it's on my bucket list now. Thanks for sharing.
Image the guys that had to traverse that the 1st time with all the equipment needed to secure the route. Also realize the camera limits your peripheral view, making things look more intense since you are limited in perspective. Still amazing, but doable to experienced trekkers
What boggles my mind is: if you are all the time so out of breath and breathing through your mouth, how don't you become exhausted in a very short time? If you need to breathe through your mouth, it is a clear indication that you are demanding too much of your body and that you are constantly too close to your VO2max limit.
I am getting cramp in my legs just by watching this. Incredible stuff.
You guys are nuts!!

Awesome advice
Absolutely true, but unfortunately in most videos uploaded, I don't see many climbers doing so.

Who the hell put those wires and hooks in the first place?!?!?!
Likely the Swiss Alpine Club. Extremely industrious!
Какие мужественные ребята! Удачи Вам, берегите себя. Спасибо за прекрасное видео.

"If you fall, you'll just dangle there like an idiot and you'll be fine!" 😂😂..... I wouldn't be fine! 😫 Admire your courage!
During my military training (other mountain, other country) it was not allowed to touch the wire with the hands.
Excellent
brovo to the people who put up all of the cables and steps
I climbed this last year. Amazing experience. The rope bridge is a bit scary but I did it. 😅😅
Basic noob question, but are you not supposed to put one hook opening on one side, and the other hook opposite?
Ok you made it up..now 😊you have to climb down……! 🥹
Wondering!! Who fixed steel wire & hucks on the Rock first?
I had the exact same question. Kudos to those who constructed the trail.
I wondered that too. I wanted to know what kind of stress-testing and engineering went into these fixtures.
Omg, you are a hero truly, so brave you guys are, incredibly good. Stay safe
Too bad we never got to see a view UP in the video. Just into the cliff or down. I want to get a sense of the mountain and how far it is up etc.
God bless you
لن اصعد و لو أعطوني ثقل هذا الجبل ذهباً
I gotta assume there’s an incorrect way of walking across that ladder bridge thingy. What happens if it turns over while you’re on it ?
Nice ... I'm more inclined to climb hands on the rock rather than the wire, but each to his own. Thanks a lot. 🤓🇦🇺
Safety first!

Why aren't you facing the gates of your two lockgates in opposing directions?
I get visual vertigo just watching this video. So I just saved myself a lot of time and money. 😄

Do you have any idea how much force it would take to break that cable?

I don’t know why but your clipping technique makes me uncomfortable. It just seems very rushed and not precise.
