Respect 🤙🤙 From a 2003 Jaguar XJ8 4.2 x350 owner in Australia which i absolutely love like you do your Merc, both great cars! i get slagged too so i totally get it! Cheers 🇦🇺
One of the best cars I've ever driven, the insulation from the road and sheer comfort is next level. I drove a 2004 S500 and it had all of the same extras as yours barring the wheels. Side note, Parktronic does not park the car automatically in these year models, it's just the sensors front and back that tell you how far you are away from objects when parking.
@@condorprestigevehicles At the time they were quite rare and only offered on high end luxury cars so they would have charged a pretty penny for them. 🙂
For me, this was the best S Class and my favourite one. I think the prefacelift gave the W220 a bad name. The facelift fixed a number of issues including the rust issue. For me, it feels more solid than the W221 and way more solid than the W222. It also drives better. The W221 is a bit creaky on the interior as they age and the W222 looks nice but doesn't have that feeling of solidity.
For me personally, my issue with the W220 is its looks. Aesthetically, it just looks like the clay model melted in the sun and then got signed off in that state. While the W140 was stately and elegant, the W220 just looks like a blob. No doubt the car itself is very much like an S-class - refined, comfortable and quiet. I'm just not sure I can get over the looks. The facelift was a significant improvement, though.
There is gonna be a lot on snobbery at the car park. The dudes in the SUV's are gonna say u think u posh. Meanwhile u just love your car. Let them eat cake😂
The worst S-class ever 😎😎 Every, and I mean EVERY Sclass is better than this one! It is even ugly (subjective) What I love from this generation is the Coupe ! ;)
I daily drive a 2002 S320 CDI, best car I ever owned
You not the only one who loves it.. I adore my 2004 s500L
Beautiful car. This model is very reliable and well built.I´ve had no troubles with my S320(-99)during the six years of ownership.

They’re stunning to drive aren’t they! Thanks for the info on Parktronic, seems an expensive option if it’s just front & rear sensors 😂

I daily drive a 2001 S500 , it's hard to imagine a better car to cruise in every day.
Got the 1999 v8s500 version pretty much rust free very underrated car 👍
I have the exact same, just need to sort out the alternator and one injector.
I love my w220 but I hate rust on so now swap to w221 . But w220 shape is the most beautiful ever made
Have you ever had or come across a problem where it goes in to limp. The gear selection doesn't show on dash or gear dont change?

These will jump in price once they are 25 years old to import them into the USA. This engine is the best option for the 220

The coupe is already a collecting classic, great looking cars! I think this is a bit of an ugly duckling scenario, it gets better with age 😅
Well you're entitled to your own opinion. Buy something else.
