I have a 65 plate SE Tech which was a Land Rover Dealers demonstrator - it was a year old when I purchased it and had less than 4,000 miles on the clock. Eight years on it is still running like a dream and other than servicing and tyres and the odd bulb I have had to spend on full set brake disks once - replace brake pads twice, an oil leak from transfer box (£60 to have fixed) and the timing chain (tensioner and belts) at 80,000 miles. I have never missed a service and she still runs as good as new. The ECO (stop start) I actually like as you can put the Disco in neutral with hand brake on at lights and it just sits there engine off, but touch the brake and the mild hybrid unit does not just restart the engine immediately but adds a small boost to pull away so I do not agree that ECO stutters on restart resulting in a need to turn it off. My car also has the upgraded Meridian sound system which has a hard drive for storing favourite CD's but in the glove compartment is a mini jack and USB 2 socket for I-Pod connection or memory stick allowing large MP3 playlists. I have found the SE Tech seat leather is not as soft as the HSE premium leather but have to say they are still very comfortable and far harder wearing as mine still look like new while some HSE models I have seen show quite visible wear. Fabulous car in my view and struggling to find a replacement as not keen on newest Disco variant and unsure about new Defender still - so no plans to part with it 🙂.

It's a shame these were never offered with a manual.

So… I shouldn’t be too worried about buying a very well looked after X3 3.0D at 59000 :)( I do between 18-24k miles per year ) for about 25% less than one with say 40k on the clock, I’m thinking just get it done at BMW main dealer whenever needed and it should do me for 4-5 years then trade and buy another with the residual plus what I will have saved up in the meantime …( I know I’ve gone off the landrover piste :) but yes agree use manufacturer servicing and parts as they are now similar to back street “experts” and you get free coffee and cake while you wait 😂

Absolute base spec Boxster with zero options and painted basic 18 inch wheels. It has PDK as only extra. Wheel centre caps are not correct.

Wheels are not 19 inch they are the basic 18 inch Boxster wheels painted black. Headlights are basic bi xenon and that that shiny steering wheel is disgusting. Shiny leather is dirty leather. The colour is Guards Red not bright red. Sport exhaust is standard equipment in that model year. I can't see any extras other than the PDK gearbox.

SD4 in HSE spec is the one to have.. Better performance, better economy and better reliability.. TD4 still good though. My personal preference after owning 3 is an auto box. I wish they still made them..

Great cars. Although people tend to go for the 5.0, the 4.2 is not only bullet proof and don't suffer the timing chain issues of the 5.0 cars they are much rarer as they were only built for 3 years before the 5.0 took over. A future classic for sure

i like the video and car but insurance costs are too high being a ex insurance broker i know were there at , for example 16057 pounds for me and i am 52 in london borders, crazy.

I own a similar North American spec 2014 L405, which is a HSE, with the 3.0 L gas engine. Been very pleased with it. Had a brain cramp seing the worn out arm rest on the passenger side, forgetting we drive on the wrong side.

Guess you’re going to say spend £1200. Prob be 1600. It’s a RR. Yup £1733. Hard job our trade.

What did leather man charge for his 3 hours did you say at in your establishment. Guess 4x wheel refurb about £300. Looks the part.

Made a nice job of the Range Rover, and it should sell really well, but just one piece of advice, from an old engineer get yourself a kneeling pad or there is a good chance you may end up like me, with painful knee joints which is very debilitating

I am lucky enough to own an XJ R-Sport 2016, with 60K on the clock. Other than tyres, I have had to do no work, other than a yearly service. I love the XJ history, styling, especially the 'Park Lane' interior, which is a work of art. I can't recommend them enough!recommend

Good review in part but you didn't cover problems or issues that may come with these cars and what to look for second hand. All cars have their foibles so it would have been hugely helpful if you covered this especially as I'm interested in buying one and you sell these on your forecourt.
