Thanks for the great comparison to the GoPro 10. 🙏 I usually skip a model but i might get the 11 just for the 10-bit color, as i do use my GoPro 10 a lot for timelapses and color grading makes all the difference. I agree with you that a LOG profile would be awesome or HLG would be fine too. Maybe it's possible with a firmware update? @GoPro
for real, this is the best GoPro Hero 11 Review out there, just these small details, that you put for example the prices inc. and withouth subscription together (makes sense to get a second subscription on a second email for example if the old one is still running, and you show that directly) I have bought now 2x the mini (even if I dont like to inbuildt battery) and secondly there is no naked case for my Indoor FPV Shootings available. But the price for 199 USD In Thailand was just too good, and at least I can use the 8:7 Sensor for IG and YT Recordings...but sadly all my work (FPV Oneshots) will still be with my "old" hero 8 because I didnt wanted to buy a full 11 here during my South East Asia trip, when I am home I can at least buy it over my Company for Indoor Drone Tours....love your channel, discovered it because of the Cinelifter Video. MORE FPV man :) are you actually german? I dont know why but somehow I get the feeling, that there has to be some connection :)
Kudos on the great video- your editing style really takes what this camera can do to a different level. Very impressive and appreciate the analysis as well!
This was an Awesome Video! I just got the Gopro 11 & I am very happy with the 10 bit & being able to color grade in final cut & the 8:7 full sensor is just the cherry on top
Thanks for a great review! Agree with everyone else and by far the best GoPro review I’ve seen. I purchased a 10 mid 2022 to add to my GoPro collection and after an old 5 started having issues a month ago I was going to replace it with another 10 but ended up buying the 11 to get horizon lock without the need for the max lens mod. Now I’ve used the 11 I’m more curious about the 10 bit and your video was the first I found that explained it in a way I understand. One question, can the 10 bit be used to create HDR video or is that something seperate again?
Thanks a lot. Very happy to hear!!!! HDR is separate but related since hdr is generally in the 10 bit colourdepth but 10 bit does not provide you with the dynamic range I all cases.
Great video, dude! Killer shots and good info. I just got a Her011 Black Mini to go on my DJI Avata. Can't wait to see what comes out of it. Thanks for the insights.
Amazing video and super awesome critique. Subbed. No idea how you don't have more subs. But also I think waiting for a 1 inch sensor with 10 bit and a true log flat would be worth upgrading from the 10. Thanks for informing me so well about this new camera.
First time watching you and I'm wondering why you don't have a billion subscribers. just saying, youtube needs to fix its algorithm, this is probably the Best Gopro Video I've ever watched in my life
So 10-bit color is a marginal upgrade for me. What I would have liked to see is it providing HDR video. I record a lot of darker forest contrasted against bright skies and lack of HDR is unfortunate. iPhones had HDR for a number of years now. Time for GoPro to catch up.
with good light everything will look good. it is in low light that the problem start to show up . what me need is less megapixel. you only need about 12 for 4k. increase the bit rate and lower the megapixel.
I watched it and then wanted to comment and was surprised to see so few comments and views. I felt like this little video was so crazy. So much happened in such a short time!
0:30 why didn't your fpv drone get fried and fall because of getting splashed by the exhaust of the jetski? Did you paint the electronics stack with conformal coating?
Your Gopro video was more informative than others. I linked how you did the banding thing and also that you don't get full sensor in 5K 60. These are important things not covered by other reviewers.
I went straight out and upgraded based on 10-bit, and I will certainly be getting the mini for FPV as well when it becomes available. I agree about LOG 100% - now that we have 10-bit and more data rate, I can't think of a good reason not to offer a proper LOG profile. I would be happy to see it even as a labs feature exclusively.
These new night modes alone are making me really want this camera. I fell in love with photography doing long exposures and since mirrorless became a thing I've been into video more and more this is like a combination of long exposure and video. The fact it does all the fading etc in camera is fantastic. 10 bit is a big deal to.
Is 10bit available in all modes? I’m hearing it may not be available for 4:3? Gopro please say this is not so and yes get a log profile you could claim G-Log or GP-Log maybe even an HDR video mode with HLG.
The party must have been awesome because I did not get anything useful in the low light review. Usable ISO? Colorgrading the 10 bit in these situations?
Hi Joey, again a great video, but I must ask you again about your use of the titles. How do you apple the dirt and glitch effect? Id love to steal the effect for a tv documentary I am working on but in Davinci even making compound clips from text and then applying the effect doesn't work. Id be thankful for some pointers. Thank you!

from my perspective still using the hero 7 so it's worth the upgrade - wondering if the mini will be able to do the light trails modes via an app? if so I think the compactness of the mini is really interesting especially for helmet mounting
