Thank you Eric for bringing that ride review on that bike. I agree with you. They definitely did an incredible job with the new ones with the upgrades. It’s basically great bike for people looking for a new one that don’t need to trade it in or sell theirs and definitely glad you’re keeping yours. Yours is one of a kind beauty.
I bought a 23 Road Glide standard on Black Friday. Got a few extras and a free stage one upgrade with Reinhart pipes. I still like the analog gauges better.
I live in Fairfield just outside of Gettysburg. I bought the first 2024 Road Glide that went out the door at Battlefield. This is the Bike that brought me back to Harley after 12 years. I agree, a bit cramped but I’ve been riding Victory bikes for years so all other bikes feel cramped to me. I’m about 6’-1”. I do think the seat is part of the reason for feeling cramped. To me,this is a FANTASTIC bike that does a whole lot of things correctly. My main gripes at this point….that terrible wind screen and the extremely poor factory radio. Touch screen or controls both work.
Hey Mike! Yeah I think if you replace the seat it should def. set you back further. I agree, they knocked it out of the park with what you get for the price. Check out Klock Werks for the windshield, they may already have something, but not sure.
I picked up the tallboy seat for the 24 (part # 52000640) and it helped with the cramped feeling. I’ll end up getting extended toe and heel shifters and brake lever from SoftBrake, bigger floorboards, and highway pegs. Unfortunately, I’m guessing I’ll be forever searching for the feeling I had on my Victory.
Lol, I know what you mean about the weight picking it up off the kickstand, It feels heavy as heck! Especially if you come off of a lighter bike (Softtail, Sportster, etc).
I don’t think you mentioned the LED’s that is also standard now, finally. Also even though it is an upgrade the suspension is still not as good as the aftermarket ones. Performance wise one would still have to make some changes. At least you’re honest. You definitely have a special bike.
There is No contest there... What you have is a Much Better bike... Not only in better looking and Better performance, but Everything in the time,Experiences & history that you have... 👍😎🇺🇸
Yeah you're in a great area for a test ride. Took one for test ride today but it was pretty much red light to red light, traffic, traffic, traffic... Took 10 minutes tops, "Once around the block, James" 😢
It did look like you were riding a tricycle😂😂😂I believe the tank is more low profile compared to the previous year model. Glad I could hear the other guys pipes in front of you to hear that Harley roar😂😂😂
@SJBagger great point. Because of spine related issues I'd swap the seat out regardless. I'm 6'2 as well and felt like I was going to eat my knees. Safe riding out there
Thanks brother! I was just watching your Motovlog Setup video and man I have the same issues with GP, only works about 85% of the time. In other words, you never know what you're going to get. Anyway, hope all is well and appreciate the feedback, the King isn't going anywhere!

Yeah if you are in the market and not needing to take a hit on a trade, then well worth it.

Here comes old man winter, damn
Thanks for the ride review, E! The new HD touring bikes don't hold a candle to your RKS!
It was fun to ride and good to now know what it’s like. RK not going anywhere.

@@vtwinusa yeah could be the fact that my Saddlemen is extended reach. Enjoy the bike! What are you doing for bars and exhaust?
from a viewer's perspective, the bike you rode home in sounded a lot better and looks a whole lot more fun the way you were hitting the throttle lol
Agreed brother! The King isn’t going anywhere. Thanks for checking in 🤙
I currently have a road glide m8 and seriously considering ditching it for a pan America,, and you should definitely keep your bike
One bike I still haven’t ridden, but would love to. I came from motocross so I know it’d be a ton of fun. RK is staying!
Lol, I know what you mean about the weight picking it up off the kickstand, It feels heavy as heck! Especially if you come off of a lighter bike (Softtail, Sportster, etc).
Yeah right away was like what the heck, but then riding felt super light and nimble.
@SJBagger
Yep, once she starts rolling, the weight goes away.
@markurbancowboy yes just meant def noticeably lighter then ‘23 and prior RGs.

True, LEDs all around and also agree on suspension.

Thanks buddy, appreciate it! I'm def. keeping the King and super happy where it's at currently. Thanks again for checking in!
Same here. I can’t ditch Kong for one. But give me a year and maybe I’ll add to the stable. Great video
Already curious to see what they do next year.
Good review 👍
It was fun to ride.

😢
Agreed, and got to feel everything out for the most part.
@SJBagger Clearly you're living in a much nicer riding area but I miss seeing our local landmarks in your videos!
"South Jersey for life!"
@@davidbunting6582 yeah it's nice to ride here, but I do miss Jersey!
My vote is a couple year old low rider ST build. Or RG is you need the dash. Good insight on the 24’ RG tho 🥃
I think I want another Street Bob. I had two Dynas before I had the RK and loved them.
@@SJBagger For sure and you can make it how you want it with the dough saved from a new one
Last gen road glide is touch screen and separate gauges unsure if 24 is touch. I don’t understand how its less $$
It is both touch and button controlled.
Don't if I missed the video but where did you get the dash insert for your road king
Rebus Custom/Rebus Carbon. Look him up on IG. Here is his website…rebuscustom.com
Great review but I would kep yours also!! Does your king have RDRS?
Definitely keeping, but no RDRS.
@@SJBagger Thanks trying to get a straight answer on wether tuning effect RDRS in any way!!

Yeah felt cramped for sure. Def needs an exhaust as soon as one purchases.
I read the HP is 105 so yes it is more than the last years.
Like I said, pretty darn good deal for someone in the market and not having to trade up.
Long live the KillaKing!
💪💪
Tell me is the throttle snappy?
I know 😂
lol
I sat on a 24 cvo st and felt cramped. I thought it was just me.....
Yeah not sure if the seat is just pushing me more forward than normal?
@SJBagger great point. Because of spine related issues I'd swap the seat out regardless. I'm 6'2 as well and felt like I was going to eat my knees. Safe riding out there
Totally, felt the same way!
Nice test ride and review. However your bike blows it out the water with performance. Nice vid Eric!👊🏼🇺🇸
