Please keep this segment going, love seeing how the pros set up their boards! I really appreciate anyone who goes into detail about their wheelbase as it relates to their height. Helpful stuff that no one really talked about a few years ago.

Nobody ever want to talk about wheelbase. Most of my favorite pros, talk about it, but my homies and friend that owns a skateshop, give me shit, when I mention wheelbase. People are so quick to just tell you to just skate and don't think about that stuff because they don't need to...but some of us, need to tweak our setups to overcome our limitations.
I used to ride DGK decks, exclusively, but they all have too long of a wheelbase and it makes, everyone of my flip tricks, harder. I've heard, a longer wheelbase, makes gaps and grinds, easier, though. To me, the shorter wheelbase is better.

Trucks make a huge difference. Indy’s vs Thunder’s can make the pop timing and feel completely different. Mellow and steep tails can mess up even a beginner’s skating. Indy’s and a steep tail makes for tons of ghost pop, but with Thunders it’s perfect.

Things like height of truck, steepness of tail, size of wheels, wheelbase and riser pads cause the pop to hit at different times.
