I'd suggest installing some security cables on the TV in case it falls for some reason. Chances of it supporting the TV for a significant amount of time after mount failure are slim, but it most likely will give you enough warning to clear the fall area and/or get the TV supported.

Computers are a lot more resilient these days than back in the 90s and early 2000s. Hell, my WiFi card came with a magnet mount for attaching it to your PC case and it's been there for ~2 years with no problems.
The one thing I find interesting is how you put a "super duper disclaimer" about how it could actually kill you if it were to fall on you because none of the equipment was designed to be mounted at that angle... and then you make it into a play room for your very small and very squishy children. I know the disclaimer was more for liability reasons, but it still is a little odd xD
The disclaimer was probably just requested by Samsung and his other sponsors for the build because they don't want lots of people doing this then suing them if it does fall (unlikely but why risk it if you don't have to?) and the equipment used isn't rated for that sort of angle or whatever. If he's letting them in there and is lying there himself I would be be willing to bet that in reality it is very securely fastened to the wall.

I'm surprised nobody has made a mount that covers the 45 to 90 degree mounting options. I mean it'd be insanely expensive with having to undergo much more design work and testing but it'd be the only one to guarantee safety at that angle so it'd completely corner a market niche so some people would pay for it.
I bet it's less an issue of R&D or cost, and more an issue of no one wanting to take the risk. I'm sure it's perfectly safe, but by marketing a product as being able to do that they open themselves up to lawsuits when people are dumb.
Plus a lot of people have converted attic spaces either as bedrooms or as entertainment systems. The only problem would be what Jon Atcer said about people being dumb and in this case I imagine it would the part where people don't read manuals - no one can prove that they didn't read the manual so there would be the lawsuit - unless the error was obvious upon investigating the area

This can be a perfect place to set up surround sound... Well the subwoofer might not work well in such tiny environment, but besides that, I think the 5.1 surround system would work pretty well here.
Maybe a solid 5.0 setup will do. I think a subwoofer isn't the greatest idea in this room.
CX Music They can use a smaller subwoofer. Just in case sometimes there's not enough bass going on. Redirecting the subwoofer sound to the front speakers might not be that good. Actually, I consider it better to just let 1 speaker to do all the bass rather than 5 in such small room.
Okay, you're right. Big satellite speakers are also not the best idea for this room. Maybe 5 mid-range speakers + one good, but small subwoofer.

For those unaware of the joke being made, Linus often uses or claims to use parts for a build (when they're personal build) and ends up having to switch them out because he needs them to be used in the office. (the parts are often left over unused parts from previous builds (now decommissioned) or test items that didn't need to be returned.

It's not like those people that wall mount their TVs halfway up the wall or above the fireplace like they intend to stand while watching it. Really a TV doesn't need to be mounted on the wall in most situations, since a sensible height for watching while sitting would look silly, which is why they make TV cabinets.
