I've been a bike rider for a number of decades and latterly pulling a large-ish trailer meant for two children but in my case, with two dogs. As I'm past the first flush of youth (74) I found that getting up long or steep hills with the dogs wasn't so much fun. After a lot of Internet checking I decided to go for the same machine (the C21) but right now in Europe they have the machine on offer - down from 1700 Euros to 999 ($1068) I ordered mine yesterday and really looking forward to getting it. Fingers crossed. Edit: Rec'd the bike a week ago. Well, what a fantastic surprise. Superbly packaged, very easy to assemble (except for those bloody mudguards) and rides fantastically well. The pedal assist was a real eye-openers. Now just waiting for a conversion attachment kit for the trailer. I'm looking forward to find out how the bike and battery cope with hills and the extra weight of trailer and dogs. I foresee this kit being a gateway to re-opening the biking world and exploring new places.
"how the bike and battery cope with hills and the extra weight of trailer and dogs" (???) Hmmm ... I don't think you will become happy with this bike 🤫
@@jonikolaus4423 Well, you were right to an extent. My daily ride with dogs and trailer is 11kms out and back - but the back is predominantly uphill, so, 22km. If on 'normal' mode the battery died long before I got home so I very quickly learned to 'manage' the battery by using zero and eco levels as much as possible. However, I ended up buying the extender battery kit which to be honest seems a bit of a bodge afterthought. It's also rather fiddly to use and charge the two as they have to be tended to entirely separately.
The official setup video shows the speed unlock. Looks like you hold the down arrow button down for a few seconds until the rocket icon shows on the screen. ua-cam.com/video/QIqm6cZGehE/v-deo.htmlsi=-mFgnh3Ok5iJousl
Brilliant bike. The only real downside is that they scratch REALLY easily, so parking it anywhere public is inevitably gonna cause some deep scratches.
I have this and its quick. The mivice motor is superb and it negotiates 15% hills with ease, and I can definitely say the assistance is well beyond 25kph. It feels assisted up to 32kph( and that's without rocket mode). The only downside is the pathetic battery so get the range extender and you have 416wh which will get you about 50km per charge on level assist 2. Honestly level 2 is so good that I never use rocket mode plus it eats up the battery anyway.
I think 'pathetic' is a bit harsh. I have an e-kit on my road bike which uses a 200Wh battery. It is a simple kit with a 250 watt motor but only one power level, e.g. the equivalent of full power on this bike. Continuous use on mixed terrain gives me about 40kms of range, which isn't too bad, but my bike is much lighter at 13.5kgs. More range should be easily attainable with the changeable power levels on other bikes.
@vincekerrigan8300 well c40kms is quite good. I'd say the weight plays a factor too. I would hazard a guess and say the Chinese battery just isn't that good. For comparison the estarli e28 Samsung battery is 360wh yet can do 50kms on full assist compared to the fiido c21s 15km on full assist. I just think fiido could've added more capacity to the bike.
Thanks for the Video @TechMagnet! Could you or anybody else in possession of this bike do me a favour and measure what kind of threading the screw nut of the back axis has (Gewinde der Mutter)? I want to buy a Croozer Trailer and need to know if there is a fitting adaptor. Thanks a lot in advance!
The ones on my Fiido C11 were a damned nuisance to set up and plastic which twists and turns with heat, they are the only gripe l have, the rest of the bike is superb. This bike looks very tempting but so does the Fiido Air... I already have 2 ebikes one is a folding bike a cheap piece of tat l regretted buying as soon as l opened the box, but l thought well it folds up was only £245 down from £700 ( some poir devil paid the full £700 and was crushed when he saw it for £245, I'm basically gonna wreck it on some rough terrains. Lol.
Disgraceful that you are not setting a good example by not wearing a helmet ! Particularly riding at speed , on gravel. and not in control with hands-off ! You are 'heading' for a serious accident with no concern about the emergency services that you would need! Please think about other young people and the example you are showing. You need to do another video wearing a helmet and delete this one.( I used to work in hospitals and am well aware of serious head injuries.)

Hi, great review. Can I ask, what height are you and what size bike did you test. Was that a large?
Dude, you're giving me a heart attack riding that bike at 35 km/h with only one hand at the handle 😮
Wow great video! How do you unlock the bike for the extra speed?
Is the bike operable without battery power? Meaning are you still able to pedal after the battery has expired?
He shows it when he starts testing it
Leaving the bicycle on the street... Can you remove the battery and the LCD display so it doesn't get stolen?
Why would you leave it on the street to begin with, take it with you everywhere. I always take my bikes into shops with me
@@WoodstarForges "I always take my bikes into ahops with me" ....
@jonikolaus4423 Yep, shops allow it. Stops thieving cunts. Keeps my expensive bike safe.

Nice, but how about shock absorber? Anything of it on board?
So what’s the unlock? Or is that just clickbate?
The rocket button is the unlock, that takes you slightly over the EU 25kmph legit ebike limit
Its a hub motor design already thinking I be wasting my money? looking for a cheap mid drive e gravel bike

I’m 175 cm which size should I buy ? L or M ? Thanks a loto
a thru-axle is a "novel approach"? shipping a bike in the last 5 years with a quick release would be more of a novel approach there
12:35 How is this mode activated? Is it cruise control?
The mudguards actually fit this bike and make the look perfect if you ask me.
You're right! Thanks for pointing that out 💯

The bottle shaped range extender 19:36 is still not available ☹
Why is the left brake lever stopping the front wheel?
You probably installed the wheel wrong. I had made the same mistake. The disk needs to go inside the brake.
