    In this video I unbox, assemble, review, and ride the 2023 Fiido step-over C21 e-gravel electric bike. This ebike is a bit different from others I’ve reviewed, but it has some great features like sleek/stealth styling, gravel ready tires, a lightweight frame, super quiet motor, 20mph max speed, and 5 pedal assist modes to ride on the road or on light trails. Watch my video to find out more and see if it’s a good value for the money!

    Can you try to fit trek DS3 (gen5) tires on a new model FX3? If they do fit, I want a DS tire set for my FX3. Please let me know

    Do you know if the handlebars can be raised?

    Could you in future test the ride on steep or longer hills. Where I live in LA I have short very steep hills plus the best roads just a couple miles away are about 5 percent grade for a couple miles, so I mainly want the ebike in order to survive hills for errands and recreation. I saw a Soltera2 ebike review that very helpfully showed that with barely pedalling or just sitting using basically only pedal assist on a very steep hill the bike went only 2 or 3 mph and ground to a halt in a couple minutes, but constantly pedalling kind of hard with max pedal assist made it up a mile long very steep hill holding 7 or 8 mph, that kind of info is very helpful especially if someone could say how hard or athletically they had to pedal to maintain that 7 or 8 mph (which that reviewer did not say, by the way)

      Like if someone could report that they are just regular strength going uphill and that with no pedal assist they have to stop and rest a few times but with pedal assist they can maintain 10 mph for a couple miles without having to stop or suffer. Something like that would be helpful for the many of us who could bike if we could just handle the hills.

    Thanks for a very informative review, but how could you tell us that the chain ring "looks like" 62 or maybe 54 55. You made your point, that it is a relatively big chainring, but how could you not bother to check the specs or count the teeth if you had to? i realize many riders especially riders who did not spend time riding conventional bikes (good for them anyway for e-biking) don't care. but a lot of us want to ride the ebike mostly under our own power for some flat non-windy parts of the ride, and the chainring teeth numbers will tell us a lot about whether we will be able to. I ride my conventional mountain bike on the 30 or 40 teeth chainring, but if you put a 55 teeth chainring on it I would quickly grind to a halt. So ebikes that commonly come with a 40 or 42 tooth chainring might be just the gearing I want, while 55 teeth might be way off. Sorry if my being quite ignorant about ebikes ( I AM trying to learn more) makes my comment make no sense.

    How to remove the battery from that bike in case of faillure in the battery?

      @dongliangliu-oo6kp It would be useful and polite if you could say that in nglish ... American english would be even better I guess.

    I have this and there's no way you're getting 25 miles at the highest assist level. I barely get 15 miles at level assist 2. The battery is the biggest let down on an otherwise great little bike. The motor is vg.
    However, I've read that mivice are making a 360wh slim battery that can fit into the down tube, thus creating its own e-system since mivice already make the wonderful torque sensor motor.

      And where is the battery to buy?

    • @MrJustsaysean
      @MrJustsaysean 2 місяці тому

      @marcoranneberg8422 I don't think it's on the market yet. I hope it reaches european markets as it will make a big difference. There's two 360wh types of difference sizes, and a 540wh larger one proposed for this year afaik. I'll make do with the battery range extender for the time being. It's 208wh

      I have a 200 Wh battery on a friction drive kit I added to my road bike.With a 250W motor with only one power setting - full obviously - I do get about 40km or 25 mile range, so it seems possible to me. Mind you the all up weight, bike and kit, is only 29lbs.

    • @MrJustsaysean
      @MrJustsaysean 2 місяці тому

      @vincekerrigan8300 I'm intrigued. Do you live in a hilly or flat area? I have a few short 15% hills I have to negotiate so that may play a part. I read about a test on a flat old train track converted for bikes the distance was about 30km max on level 2.

      @@MrJustsayseanYeah. I’ve been looking into this bike and some reviewers are honest about it and just say that the battery is abysmal. Others just try to avoid the subject, like this one. I like the bike but the range, even with the extender which isn’t available yet, wouldn’t be sufficient for me. I like to go on pretty long rides in the weekend so this won’t do it for me. It’s a shame ’cause, except for the range, it looks like a pretty fun bike.

    Don’t fool people… this bike sucks. I have one and makes noises all over, wheels are really bad, 1 euro pedals, and battery extender is a joke

      Dang! That's quite the negative review! I mean, it's very obvious that this guy is just trying to get expensive things for free, so this isn't a real review at all, BUT I'm suprized you hate the bike that much

    • @PedroDiogoPinto
      @PedroDiogoPinto 4 дні тому

      @@johnlocke3481 yes I do hate it… riding with noises, it’s not pleasant. Plus, they announced a battery extender similar to a water bottle. Then the real one is nothing like a bottle, it’s big, and you need to install extra controllers to be able to connect it to the bike. Something not announced by them. Basically you pay to get a bad engineered battery extender, that I feel dangerous to install. Also, when you receive the bike and check the stem, you notice that it won’t last much time… it’s thin because it houses the display

      @@PedroDiogoPinto Das kann ich so nicht bestätigen. Der Lenker ist ein durchgehendes Rohr und sehr robust. Die Sache mit dem Zusatz Akku sehe ich aus optischer Sache kritisch. Geräusche hat mein C21 nicht. Die Pedale sind in Ordnung. Für mich fühlt sich das Rad sehr hochwertig an. Und ich kann mir über Fiido ein Urteil erlauben, da ich seit März 2020 ein Fiido M1 besitze und damit schon viele Kilometer gefahren bin. Mehr als 1000. Die Teile funktionieren, sonst hätte ich mir nicht das C21 bestellt. Ich bin ein Kurzstrecken Pendler, also kann ich laden, wenn leer. Das C21 hat den Vorteil, daß man es ohne Batterie fahren kann, da es so leicht ist. Und der Preis von 999€ hat mir die Entscheidung leicht gemacht. Super Bike, sehr leicht mit vielleicht wenig Reichweite. Wer Touren will, der kauft halt was anderes. Mit der Verarbeitung bin ich aber sehr zufrieden, das schafft man in Deutschland niemals für den Preis und in Amerika auch nicht.
