I won an air fryer from a raffle at a local appliance store, but I happily gave it away last Christmas. Now I'm inspired to get one for myself after watching you make these recipes esp. the lemongrass/lemon chicken ones. Thank you! :)
I got the cuisinart air fryer and toaster oven combo and it’s amazing. I figure if I’m going to let it take up counter space, it needs to be more than a one trick pony.
@@aloras405 Thank you for sharing. That air fryer/toaster combo is a very wise idea/choice. I'm thinking of finding a Zojirushi one since most of our kitchen appliances are Japanese products. Got two oven toasters which are Hello Kiity and Winnie the Pooh Zojirushi. Happy Cooking!
1)Don't use spray from can; it built up a film that will accumulate & its hard to wash off. 2)You can add to seasoning as you marinate it. 3)When you airfry, the oil will drip to the tray; I lay aluminium & a piece of kitchen towel, baking sheet. or cooking sheet. 4)I will put a stainless steel tray with a grill net so the oil will drip on to the tray for easy to clean. 5)Since 3) & 4) it is never a chore to clean up. 6)Chinese 5-spice roast meat is crunchy & not as oily + shorter time than in oven. 7)Roasted veg, is a breeze 8)Grilling salmon is moist & skin is crispy. Skin side down 1st. 9)Crispy chicken rice taste like claypot crispy rice if its your thing. 10)Toast bread straight from the freezer is a breeze too. 11)Korean skewer rice cake is easy too. 12)CJ Korean corndog is crispy, non-oily & oozing cheese 13)After trying various roti prata, chapati quarter, half & whole I prefer it in quarter. 14)Naan taste better even plain or with butter after it is cooked 15)Crispy kale, spinach, etc is do-able 16)Crispy prawn/fish crackers is easy 17)Crispy anchovies (ikan bilis), cashew, peanut, sesame, roasted garlic is all do-able. 18)Bacon is just right 19)Heating KFC chicken tasted like fresh just bought crispy chicken; leftover from the fridge tasted like you just bought it; 2 hours chicken turn soggy can be crispy again just heat it in an air fryer.
I’ve watched a bucket load of airfryer videos and this is seriously the best!! I was loving it but the cheeseburger spring rolls….EPIC!! I love our airfryer, we are on our second and when this one dies, I will be out the next day to buy our third 😊 I know lots of people have commented about this but I agree with them……don’t spray your airfryer inside, it leaves a sticky coating that you can’t remove. Spray your chicken or spring rolls instead, they come out looking browner and less floury. Do them when you have them on the tray and then put them in the airfryer!! Please keep on your airfryer journey and share with us 😊
I got an air fryer for Christmas, and it took me about 2 weeks to actually try it for the first time… now I’m using for everything. But, I have found the meat hasn’t been as moist as slow-baking it in the oven, so I’m going to try your trick with the pork - slow cooking it for a length of time, then 10 mins of high heat for final crispiness. And I have to try your spring rolls😋. New things is all about experimenting! I love the easy clean up. Plus, we began a healthier lifestyle in 2023, so this is something to continue.
FYI Don't use a can spray on the basket... The propellent damages the coating . Invest in a pump auto spray bottle and use your favorite high temp oil.... That you can spray into the basket .. You always want to oil things a small amount before putting them inside the basket. Its not a NO thing, its a WAY less oil thing. And yes turn/flip half way through. Keep checking to exactly like you did. I think Your instincts are spot on 😁 Im in no eay experienced by the way, im learning to, I've just watched so many videos so thought id share that info.
Thanks Marion, for testing the are fryer. I would prefer using the air fryer to cut down on the fat and oil, It looked really good. I was like you I was pushing and shoving the basket in, haha I eventually got it. 😉 It saves a lot of work, with washing and cleaning up. I’m going to try your recipe.
Don't use the canned aerosol spray in your air fryer. Get a small glass spray bottle and put your oil of choice in there when air frying. It won't clog your air fryer, or turn toxic, and you will get better results. (Most air fryer manuals will tell you this.)
A couple of things: if you're air-frying chicken with skin, you need almost no additional oil, as the chicken will render and "self-baste" during cooking. Don't use Extra Virgin olive oil, as its smoke point is well below most air fryer cook temps - Light or Extra Light olive oil has a higher smoke point, and is fine. Also, it's really important not to crowd the pan so the convection effect can properly get the skin/coating crispy. That first lemongrass chicken batch was so stacked that you had to cook it for an extra long period, and it still wasn't properly cooked so that the skin wasn't fully crispy, but the meat looked dry. Your pork belly recipe looked good; I look forward to trying it, but I think I'll cut it down into two or three smaller parts to enhance the air circulation.

When I do my pork belly in the Airfryer I don't do low temp first I do high temp mine does to 230c then when crispy I lower it to 130.( Mine also has a rotisserie)
Hi, love the recipes. I cook in the air fryer all the time. It is easier to put a little bit of oil on the chicken before you coat it with any other ingredient. It will keep it from sticking...instead of oil on the basket. I coat anything I cook and I don't use flour. The seasonings make things crispy. Just a suggestion. I always preheat air fryer.
I would get an oil sprayer and use avocado oil or something. Those aerosol sprays can rui. Ur air fryer and plus the oil oil will .ake it have lore of a fried texture. The oil sprayer is great for the air fryer i use it for everything and u can use a healthy pil like avocado oil so even though it will taste and feel fried its still way healthier. And when u flip spray again and get any dry spots it makes a uuge difference. I discovered the air fryer when it first came out years back and ive literally only used my 9ven maybe omce or twice since. I fell in love. Ive bought SO MANY just to test them out. Ive given so many away just trying to get people to jump on the airfryer bandwagon lol. I still have prob 7 air fryers. I swit h up which one im using and when. I have some that are the pull out drawer style and i have some that have the racks. Depends on what/how much im cooking to determine which one i need but i have one drawrr one and one with the racks that i keep on my counter and use multiple times a day. My husband makes fun of me he says i have a problem lol i need air fryer rehab
Cool thank you! my mother in law has been doing pork belly in the air fryer we just tried ours on high heat in the Weber Q, just as tasty if not more. But thank your for this video.
I don't have an air-fryer but I have my heart set on one, so I hope to be trying your recipes soon. Thank you I agree with you on oiling the basket...to prevent the meat sticking and easier clean up of the basket.
Here's one suggestion about spraying: it would be better (less wasteful of the propellant) if you'd pick up the basket and hold it level so that you don't need to point the can downward. When you point the can downward, you get more propellant (compressed air) than oil, so it sprays weakly and it wastes propellant. Cheers
Marion, I’m just a beginner on air frying also. I have the little black thing like u and I have a little mini convection oven looking one. So I can do bigger batches. On certain foods that I’ve made and it seems like they need a little more browning or not so dry, instead of spraying it with the can of the spray , I put the food in a bowl then pour a little oil on it and toss. Most of the food I do that to seems to be like seafood or Asian so I use Sesame oil. It makes a big difference
When Koreans like Maangie cook dakgangjeong - which is a very similar recipe - they double fry, eg cool and give another short fry. This makes it very crisp. I wonder if the same will apply to air fry. I don’t see why not.
Trust your air fryer...just like we trust your recipes. My husband actually has bought me all your cookbooks and this year I got Mama Noi's. Air fryers seems scary at first but just trust them
I have a Cosori and when I cook thighs I put them around the basket not just on the floor of the air fryer best piece of equipment is the thermometer if it says 75 c then it's cooked I haven't used my oven since i bought mine xx
Loving this and thank you for sharing! (Big fan of your products at the supermarket too - maybe this can bring out a new product that is specifically for air friers!!)
Those Nuggets look good!👌Have ever tried making your own minced Chicken nuggets? Then just mold them, and dredge them the same way you made those? There's a lot of good, clean recipes out there for it..😋
You make me really want to get an air fryer! QUESTION: Where can I buy your coconut Sriracha sauce in the United States? I didn't see it on an Amazon search.
First, I do enjoy your videos, and I enjoy you. One criticism…if you had read about the air fryer, you would have seen not to crowd your food, as the air won’t surround it and crisp it up. If you had done that, you would have had perfectly crispy food. I cook like that all the time. Reading the directions always helps. Thanks.
Try the Korean double fry method. Don’t use aerosol sprayer. The oil is heavily diluted. Use the small pump oil sprayers. You can fill up with your own oil flavour eg garlic and or chilli oil flavours
We should all air fry, it’s the healthiest option by far, the flavour is in the sauce, we buy ready prepared, but it looks so simple we will try homemade, keep cooking
We have an instant omni it works like an oven and looks like an oven but cooks and minutes like a microwave get you one of those instead of the basket The basket is is different You're better off using making sweets or sides in the basket
G’day, I had been living in a condo at Jomtien beach Pattaya, the condo did not have an oven, I had bought a 4L Philips it was an absolute godsend, thank you for the recipes. Cheers
When I'm on Koh Samui, I make bread and buns all the time. 10 minutes in a frying pan on a silicone liner cut to size then the pan covered with another frying pan. 10 minutes on low heat then 5 minutes in air fryer at 160°C. I paid 999THB for my Phillips at Big C.

You can use foil, stainless steel, ceramic to cook in airfryer but glass will crack.
Yes for glaze claypot plate & no to unglaze clay plate
Love cooking everything in the Air Fryer. I got my Air Fryer for Christmas as a gift and it has changed the way I cook everything!! Great video!!
Thank you for sharing these recipes and moments of realness that we don't find on Food Network.

a better tip for your frozen aromats is to grate them frozen, no fibre and wrap what you don't use .. put it back in the freezer, zero waste!

When I'm doing quarter belly I just take a handful of skewers wrap them up in a rubber band and go to town😂

Dear Marion, which brand of airfryer do you use here? thank you so much in advance for your reply!
Don't you know that it's a mini oven? This is your profession!
All recipes looks delicious thanks for sharing sharing all.
You can put a wire tray/grill so the oil drip & not stay at the bottom of the meat.
You make me really want to get an air fryer! QUESTION: Where can I buy your coconut Sriracha sauce in the United States? I didn't see it on an Amazon search.

Also, preheat.
If you don’t leave space between each peice that you put in the air fryer it’s not able to “fry” and you’re basically just getting something baked.
Thank you for the bubbling oil thing. I’ve never understood what to look for. You’re fun. What a great approach to food..experiment.
Try the Korean double fry method. Don’t use aerosol sprayer. The oil is heavily diluted. Use the small pump oil sprayers. You can fill up with your own oil flavour eg garlic and or chilli oil flavours
Useful, as there is no way I'm going to deep fry anything.
It's like you knew I was planning to finally get one😂
Marion, one thing I wasn’t sure of by the end of this was: do you really love fried chicken? 😂 Great video!
We should all air fry, it’s the healthiest option by far, the flavour is in the sauce, we buy ready prepared, but it looks so simple we will try homemade, keep cooking

We are doing this recipe tomorrow cuz it sounds delicious and we'll let you know how it goes with a different kind of air fryer
Can put or spray oil on. Not deep frying is the thing.
I use metal mason jar rings for divits to keep things off the bottom of friers and even baking

Don't use aerosol if your air fryer is non stick use a pump. The chemicals in the aerosol will eat up the non stick.
From s2 Master Chef AUS to now, wow. You be making it
Hi Marion I think your videos are awesome
Could you please help me with something I watched your video about the Pork belly I want to cook a nice piece of pork in my air fryer and I am not sure how long to cook it for can you please help me (sorry I am disabled and I have some learning difficulties and I get confused how to do things )
Roasted meat in oven is less oily than this deep fry method; oil is too much as pork belly has its own oil. Don't need rendering.
Long time viewer love your content! I'm definitely gonna try these recipes!
Nice thanks for this info I will do this hamburger spring roll ♥️👏🇮🇹👍🏾
i hav a open basket the done both sides... but
Namaskar ma'am,
I want to buy your cook book

A lot of people don't seem to know how to use an Air Fryer properly ...
Marion, use a natural oil Mister, it's a game changer and fill it with Light olive oil (for frying)...and just spray just as you did on bottom, and over top of the Chicken pieces! Those canned Sprays have just soooo many needless chemicals that are not good for our Health?
That basket is over crowded
do you have printed recipes couldn't find on youtube
For the first dish, the crispy fried chicken, you had too much chicken in the fryer tbh.
Why not fry simply the legs,if you use butter and all these fat ingredients?!Air fryer is suppose to be for those who must avoid oil!
You need a a better air fryer! And stop crowding the food!
Wow super sonic recipe Thank U so much Dear for ur great very useful video 🙏💯👍👌🤩🤗😘
