@@airlessspace1939 no just regular maintenance and check the oil every once in a while it likes to burn the oil and waste a lot of gas too but other than that truck is reliable but slow but overall decent truck
@@nwyetiphotography honestly just do regular maintenance and that pretty much it and I’m not sure if the 02 is the year where the spark plus get stuck and break in half when you try to changed them I would just be careful if you do it yourself or take it to a good mechanic
@@nwyetiphotographymaintenance maintenance maintenance man. I have an 02 5.4 with 260k on it. Oil change every 3k, keep close eyes on all the fluids and no major issues.
So glad these kind of reviews are back from you, these are why I subscribed in the first place. My favorite part is when you critique the interior, soft to the touch is the way to go!
Glad you got this Ford Super duty F250 Arizona Beige in color with a standard 5.4 V8 engine love that design cues on driver and passenger front windows which looks like a kenworth semi trucks
2:51 i think your mistaking gm for dodge, most gm trucks from this era that i’ve seen the dashes don’t look all that bad after 15 to 20 years, every 3rd gen dodge ram i’ve seen from the same era as those and the 1st gen “super duties” has the whole damn top of the dash in pieces, typical chrysler junk
A Nice Truck, Beats A New One Any Day! Unfortunately Here In New England The Rust Worm Attacks Everything! Tough To Find A Clean One! Great Report Thanks!
Had a 99(98.5) F250SD with the 5.4 2v 5 speed second hand from an auction, had the crew cab long bed option the wheel base was insane. It had an NPI motor in it, so I didn't keep it long but it was fun to haul stuff around in with 0 problems.
A friend of mine made the mistake of getting a superduty with this exact same setup, and he towed on a regular basis. He bitched how it struggled pulling his 5th wheel and it got horrific mpgs while towing, like 4 mpgs! Lol. I told him he shoulda got the V-10
That truck a beast man I have the same truck it’s has 420,000 miles
Do you have to do any maintenance more than usual? I’m looking at a 02 rn at 111k miles and wanna know what I’m getting my self into with this truck.

Any secrets to getting that many miles? I just inherited a 2002 F250 Superduty 4x2 with 78,000 miles from my father-in-law and absolutely love it.

Great truck,
My grandpa had I think a 2006 Lariat with the Power Stroke in it.
your grandma power stroked him in it

I didn't even know the superdutys came with a NPI 5.4 actually. Makes sense tho now that I think about it, the early model 99's had the NPI V-10
Love mah Fords, 2004 EB Expedition 250k 5.4L 2v 2008 CVPI 171K
I have never seen a gm interior of that era having holes in the dash, dodge on the other hand yes i have seen those with holes in them
Very Common done here in FL for the GMT800 & GMT900 dashboards to crack & fall apart.
GM is trash
That truck needs a steering box. Pretty common in those trucks.
Another 20 years it will be worth more like the osb are now.
I lost my virginity in one of these back in 2013
So why did you have to post this on here lol

mines a 99 f250 super duty crew cab long boady
It has 300 horsepower
260 with the 2V 5.4
That's underpowered to be 260 hp
It’s cause the dodges are rusted away
Yeah dodge sucks pp
Maybe it needs a complete front end rebuild like mine does.. I got a 7.3 base work truck with 310k miles and you don't wanna know how bad it is... LOL
Maybe. I’ve driven like 5 of these and every single one was like that even with over a 100K difference between some. Econolines are no better.
Nah mate......mine rides great, and has zero steering slop like your example is showing.....
'Yours have the straight axle (1999-2004) or the IFS (2005+ except for high-payload models)?
I had one. Took mine out to 250,000. Performance was barely adequate. Rode like an empty dump truck.
