- In this livestream, I'll share exactly what I do as I plan for the year ahead every December. After many years of tweaking processes and systems to manage two small businesses, employees, family responsibilities, hobbies like making videos here on UA-cam, and boatloads of work-related travel, I've learned a few things in the realm of "Productivity", not the least of which, is that concepts like "Discipline" and "Hard Work" are just that - concepts - when what REALLY works is much simpler, much more direct, and best of all, repeatable. I know that sometimes when people reach a certain level of quality and expectation, along with an audience, it can be a lot of pressure to be consistent with those expectations, especially when life gets in the way. I just wanted to say that if you ever fall behind with the timing of uploads, videos aren't as perfect as you'd like them to be, etc. - you're still a hard worker and you're still valued.
Keep going. Take breaks when you need them. We've got your back - digitally, at least 😂

Love this video. Even though I'm retired I still jot down plans for the year. I do volunteer so pre-planning is necessary so I can fulfill my volunteering along with other items such as working out. I'm married so we still plan trips both long and short. I realized its not necessary to plan when I was in my career but, the idea that I want to keep busy still has me planning which I love. You think too much. Theory fallacy. Life will not move in this fashion. You'll see. Nature is wild.
I agree 100% that the future will absolutely not go according to plan. "No plan survives first contact with the enemy."
However, it doesn't follow that planning has no value. You will be far more prepared for inevitable changes after going through the planning exercise. You are able to adjust the path forward, rather than figuring it out on the fly (when you may be under stress and short on time).
