There are other types of symphonies using Chenda as main instrument like Panchari, Pandi melam etc. Also you must watch ' Pancha vadyam' - Pancha means Five and Vadyam' means music instrument again from Kerala.

Kanjira has a very high pitch sound. to introduce more bass, water is sprinkled on the inside. (You can see small pots in front of each person) . And since it is very susceptible to moisture, players usually 2-3 spare ones handy.

"Tri-Kala Thalam" (Inspired by Arunagirinathar) which is Kanda Ekam in 2 kalai (10) + Chathusra Ekam in 1 kalai (4) + Thisra Ekam in Half Kalai (1.5). - from the original video description.
It's basically 15.5 beats per cycle. in Western time signatures would be known as 31/16: a sum of 20/16 (two bars of 5 beats), 8/16 (one bar of 4 beats, played in double time), and 3/16 (half a bar of 6 beats played in quadruple time). Konnakol on kanjira is INCREDIBLY difficult to follow, especially with composite, complex, odd-numbered talams like this one.

Kanjira, mridangam and ghatam are south indian Carnatic music percussion instruments. You should listen to Ganesh Kumar play kanjira. Insane drumming. Kanjira is not just about speed, it about creativity of drumming within the tempo. Great reaction.

It's called Kanjira used in south Indian Classical music singing. The instruments like veena, mridangam, Ghatam, kanjira, morsing etc are used to do separate bridges or runs , during the concerts.
You have to check Vikku Vinayak Ram.....a legend in ghatam.
MadRasana has so many cool videos.

Just Saw Rick's Video about his interview on tv where he talks about the great M.J . This fellow is so humble and genuine my respect for him has grown ten folds. Many youtubers would have capitalized on the fact that they had an interaction with king of pop forget knowing him in childhood but @OSR content rules. Kudos to both of you also for reacting to real Indian music and not Bollywood only. A proud stupid baby.
