Watching Cassie react to RRR is my new favorite thing of all time! Regarding your comment during the big musical number, it is normal for actors in Indian cinema to be trained dancers. It's also normal for them NOT to do their own singing. Audiences often know who the real singers are, and are fans of their work as "Playback Artists".
India doesn't have a separate music and movie industry like most other countries, not just india entire south asia is similar in this regard, the music and movie industry are just one industry
The first time I watched this movie I loved it because it was so ridiculously over the top. Then next 3 times I loved it unironically for how earnest it is in its spectacle.
Ive never burst into tears like i did at 36:38 seeing the mom reaction to the slaying of a child. Im a full blooded westerner but Indian films and stories are super inspirational to me, my favourite is, Kesari , about a battle between 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army and 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897.
The Battle of Saragarhi is an amazing feat of heroism. Probably the best last stand in known history (but ironically one of the least known, to us westerners at least).
Many english people today think the portrayal of british in this movie was somewhat over the top. But trust me, whats shown in the movie is nothing compared to the realities of any colony around the world. My own great grandfather had told many such gruesome tales which he experienced first hand. My interest in learning about the history of world arose only after i learnt such details from my father.
I thought its over the top at first...but then i remembered thi is the same empire that had a habit of shooting religious ralleys only to apologize in british parlement in front of british people while colony people who suffered at time were uneducated masses who didn't even read english
Those who have missed this movie there is a chance of watching on big screen. This is going to be re released in America with 200 screens on March 3rd 2023. Don't miss it on big screen. This is the best theatrical experience you could have now.
I missed the original theatrical release but have watched about every review on UA-cam. We have several of the re-release showings in So Cal on March 2nd and I already have tickets for the one in Murrietta. For $13 how can you go wrong! (so far I only see 3 seats reserved!)
Thank you for watching this. I have never been so immersed in a foreign film in my life. I think it was like the Matrix, Braveheart, John Wick and Anime all in one package. Really enjoyed watching this for the first time and then seeing the reaction.
@Illuminaughty if you mean me, yes it kinda is. I tried to watch something with a friend about 8 years ago and left the room after 10 minutes. I don't even remember the title.
@Illuminaughty I can do that. I'll check it out sometime tomorrow. I'll do my best to keep an open mind because lately I've had to do that for movies I would not have touched a few years back.
So after recently watching this movie I’m glad to finally find someone who reacted with tears like my wife did. We’ve scoured the internet reactions and you’re the only one I’ve found with equal emotion to my Lisa ❤. Yay one of us one of us. Great reaction bud. We’re hoping to be at your level one day🎉
This is the first time I have ever watched a reaction to a movie I hadn't seen before. This really surprised me. I didn't really know what the movie was about. After the Oscars show I thought it was a musical. It is clearly a whole lot more than that and I want to see the whole film. Thanks.
I want to recommend another movie from the same director that is "Bahubali" this movie is in two parts... And this movie is visually spectacular with unexpected storyline you will be amazed.
the way Ram carried the character is awesome.. he made people hate him, get angry on him, understand him, love him and cheer him.. what an epic character... brain+energy+spontinity = ram
This is one of your best reaction videos in my opinion. It's great to see you go through all of the emotions from sadness to pure joy, back to sadness and then back to giddy joy again.
He could not even cry on death of his mother and his brother. He had to kill even his father on his order, to achieve the goal of killing enemy squad. That day he just molded into a guy, he would have even killed dozen of Indians to achieve his goal.
RRR is indescribable. The action, the emotion and the MUSIC! It's everything. I can't believe how many times I cried. Sometimes just because of how glorious it is. So happy to see Cassie share these reactions :)
I think Ram here had one with his actual father (who's also a great actor) in his previous movie with S S Rajamouli. It was a cameo.😂🔥 It was more of a "Can you do this?🕺🏻"
In the 1970s my husband had a killer engineering lab and his partner was from India. At the UW-Madison there was a large enough Indian population they would rent a Bollywood movie and show it in one of the big lecture halls. We were invited and were two of the only non-Indian people there. The movie had English subtitles but we knew they were not exact because everyone would be laughing and we didn't get it, or there would be a long speech and the subtitle would just say "Yes, mother". It was similar to RRR in that it had EVERYTHING, romance, car chases, martial arts, crime and song and dance. Bollywood and Tollywood really give you your money's worth.
Thats the problem with watching a foreign film even with dubbing. Some of the cultural references or jokes based on their own nations history fly over my head.
@@thatindiandude4602 There is only one solution to this cultural issue is to spend extra money on dubbing by researching and stuff llike marvel movies do in India. In India marvel jokes are converted to local Indian jokes in dubbing.
@@suvrojitroy1093 sadly not everyone likes Biryani either! It is up to the pallet of individuals. Sadly without this kind of elevations, you won't find the difference between watching at your home and at a cinema. Just saying if you accept that a man can shoot lasers from his eyes or stop a moving plane with bare hands or run faster than speed of sound, you can accept the cinematic liberates SSR takes.
I love this movie. I love how it changes genres seamlessly and still manages to make a good deal of sense. Super exciting, super action-packed, and just enough dance breaks to provide some lighter moments. Lol
this movie is like everything where western movie makers would say, "you can't do that" and they said, "well actually, we're going to do that at least three times" lol....
And narrative wise too. The director's previous franchise had half runtime of both movies being a flashback each. That's what's appreciated in art. Courage, boldness. Just like French cinema notes down rules and breaks each one of them.
They recently re-released RRR in theaters, which is how I saw it for the first time. I was concerned about the runtime, but the three hours FLEW by. We all clapped along to Naatu Naatu and the women next to me were LOVING Ram. He’s so beautiful!
Glad the movie did not disappoint. On first watching, I also thought this could not end well. Man what an ending! They had nothing to envy Marvel. The fx is stellar!!!! The tongue in cheek precious. There actors got fit and sang and danced. for a 3 hour movie!
Nope, actors don't usually sing in Indian movies, they lip sync the songs. They do dance themselves though, no stunt doubles for that. Most top tier actors (even action stars) are also excellent dancers 90% of the time, it is almost a requirement to reach that level in the industry.
The only problem I have with RRR is that it fails at explaining why Ram and bheem are that strong. They just seem to be normal humans, but somehow can oneshot an entire army. That and bad physics. Also the shitty jail break scene. These things ruin the excellent movie
I've watched so many reactions of RRR reaction videos. But, this is the most genuine and authentic movie reaction i've ever seen. Wish every one has your empathy. Love from India!!
If you pay attention to the RRR interval scene, you'll notice that the hand of fire is positioned above the hand of water, indicating that they have never met. This is because water falls down due to gravity, while fire rises due to its lower density. However, in the jail breakout scene, the hands are positioned in the opposite way, with water falling down and fire rising up, which allows the two elements to connect.
“I love when I go into a film knowing so little.” Those are my favorite reactions. I hate it when reactors could go in blind, but instead decide to read a synopsis or even watch a trailer right before the reaction.
This movie is AMAZING. This brutal story of racial injustice is so perfectly surrounded by such hope, perseverance and heroism...not to mention the incredibly inspiring dancing and music. It's one of my favorites from last year. So glad to watch your reaction. It can be a hard watch at times, but it's so well done.
I found the stupidity of how they portrayed the "english" rather off-putting at first because I knew that the creators probably meant it earnestly given how earnest everything else about the film is, but taking it as a work of fantasy, I really enjoyed watching it.
@@5ilver42 the cruelty of the british portrayed in the movie is not even 1% of how cruel they actually were. Maybe if you cared to read history other than the whitewashed one.

If it wasn't already mentioned.. both of these guys are actual historical figures. Bother revolutionaries. RRR is 'what if' they were around together and became best friends how much they could have achieved. :)
Anyone who says that Hollywood is the epitome of movie making is sadly sheltered. The FX, cinematography, costumes, choreography and such in this movie stack up to all but a few movies that have come out of Hollywood in the last 10 years. Glad you enjoyed it and I'd be interested to see Carly's reaction to it.
The CGI is not as good as the best of western movies, but it still works good and fits the tone of the movie. And it's a way more interesting and entertaining movie than the stuff churned out from Marvel these days. The movie has a true charm to it! And Naatu Naatu absolutely deserved it's Oscar, what a song and what a dance.
That's the language of cinema....and power of story telling ...that made you cry, laugh, close your eyes in fear, open your eyes wide in awe, shake your legs in joy, love and hate the characters, feel their emotions in your heart ... That's what cinema is for ... These reactions and and comments actually propelled RRR to it's western stardom ....I hope there will be more .....
I was emotional while watching the movie in the theatre, but i was literally tearful when you cried. Believe me, recent events in my life made me emotionless but watching this video made me shed tears, for real.

SSR finally made the movie he wanted to make. He started with Magadheera, but the technology wasn't there yet. Then he made Eega, which was WAY too out there for any non-Indian audience - but it was a brilliant film nonetheless. He almost got there with Baahubali, but the stuntwork wasn't as good as it could have been IMO though the CGI had gotten better. Here, even through COVID and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he FINALLY made the movie he wanted to see as an audience. And he absolutely killed it. Stunts, music, action, acting, drama, CGI, set design, lighting, and THE SOUND. OH MY GOD THE SOUND.

I don't watch movies with subtitles because I am a slow reader, but I am sick and wanted to watch something I had not seen with you yet, so I gave it a try. This is an awesome movie, I only got a few words at the beginning but found myself not even needing them, I got what was going on. I am shocked how good this movie is. I loved it and watching you. This was also edited perfectly, I felt as if I saw the entire movie.
@@sahilsahu4323 The English dub isn’t good. Frequently the English subtitles won’t match the actual words, and it looks unnatural hearing English words when looking at Telugu lip movements.
"I have your Friendship which is more precious than this life" was one of the most powerful lines from the movie that touches my heart every time I watch this movie 🥺
Hands down the best reaction ever. She's super sensitive to everyone's emotions and this movie being an emotional rollercoaster, bought the best of her. Love it!
I am so glad you watched this! I prefer the English dubbing in the version I watched over the one Cassie watched, as Ram's voice is much deeper in the version I saw, but she did it right anyway with the unmatching subtitles. This movie is amazing, somehow, even being so over the top in almost every way possible. The "over the topness" in some of the previews is what kept me from seeing it initially, but this movie is so good in so many unexpected ways. I love it and I share it with everyone now. Thank you for this unexpected viewing, PiB. I wish Carly was there to have watched it too.
As someone who understands Hindi, and have watched the telegu version as well. The telegu version is the best, second in line is Hindi because I don't have to rely on subtitles and dubbing is done by the original actors ,which in turn retains the emotions. But the English dub is shit, has no emotions and makes it more funny than emotional, especially if you have seen it in its native language or Hindi.
Since you seemed to enjoy this so much, I highly recommend Bahubali 1 & 2 - they're by the same director and they're again, epic romance/adventure/revenge movies, think like Hamlet meets LOTR but with a bigger focus on romance. I legit think you'll love those movies, but be ready to settle in for a nice long movie, i think they both go for about 2h45mins or something close, so maybe better to watch on a rainy day or snowy weekend at home but imo absolutely worth watching.
50:10 Both Ram and Bheem are modern historical figures as depicted in movies but they are also inspired from ancient Hindu epic characters of Shri Rama (from Ramayana Era) and Mighty Bheem (from Mahabharat Era) that's the reason why Bheema can lift motorcycle because according to Mahabharat, Bheema can crush mountains and 🐘 with his single punch. And Rama dressed liked that statue (idol from where he gets his 🏹) of ancient Indian Rama. You should read the lyrics of song playing in background music in last forest battle. That score describes the characteristics of both ancient epic figures.❤️.❤️.
As amazing as the movie was, so were your reactions! You should watch this video one day just to refresh the feelings that came from watching the movie! Wow! Seeta telling bheem ram's total story Which was Venkatesh rama raju had became man bomb for the nations freedom and gave his life, Ram had to kill his own father for the promise, lost his younger brother mother and father at the same situation ( I imagined seeta as earth element in RRR, she was so supportive from the childhood like mother earth is supportive to us for living in this world) (cried again) 18. Bheem's promise to seeta (Yes more crying) 19. Bheem saved ram and the final fight 20. Killing General Scott and his wife. (Satisfied with the epicness) THANK YOU Rajamoili NTR jr RamCharan Ajay Devgan
The genre of the movie would, probably, be Historical Fantasy. Both the characters of Ram and Bheem are based on famous revolutionaries from different times. The movie explores the possibilities if they had lived at the same time. The Governess who "bought" Mali was played by Alison Dowdy. She,also, played the German woman doctor love interest, Elsa, in Indiana Jones band the Last Crusade.
No, they are from the same time. But they never met each other. Before they started freedom fighting, they were missing for some years at the same time. There is no history about them in that time. This movie just made fiction out out of what if they met each other in that time period.
41:12 "Man they make the british evil in this [movie]" Who's gonna tell her about Jallianwala Bagh massacre ? British general ordered his troops to fire at protestors who had nowhere to run, until their ammunition was exhausted. 1500 people were shot dead.
To be fair this happened on the orders of one Colonel and was condemned by the British parliament. Churchill said it was "unutterably monstrous" and Asquith described it as "one of the worst, most dreadful, outrages in the whole of our history". Parliament subsequently voted 247 to 37 against Dyer and in support of the Government. Not making excuses for anything that happened, just pointing out that the British were just as justifiably disgusted by this as anyone else.
For your information the film was made in Tollywood which means the film was originally made in TELUGU language and then dubbed into FIVE (5) different languages in INDIA itself that includes Hindi too, when guys watch this movie in hindi they thought that the film belongs to Bollywood.
I have watched a lot of reaction video since past 2-3 years from people outside of India reacting to Indian Movies. For example - Jaby and Archara since their days of beginning. Also I have watched all reactions to RRR movies. RRR is actually a "Tollywood" film, meaning that its original language is Telugu. Tollywood films are known to "genre-bend" a lot of the time, and as such are often called "masala" for their genre, as masala's got a little bit of everything in it. ;-) And yes, I love me a good Tollywood masala film! Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is another really fun one.
Do not divide us like your forefathers did , its Indian film ,its film how British empire killed millions in india, its film showing indian culture, values and brotherhood, its a film with raw emotion of 1.4 billion indians so please dont divide us with your shitty skunk mentality .
It's an Indian "Bharatiy" film. Most of the movies are made in multiple languages because the audience speaks and understands their respective languages. A movie which is released in multiple languages is not a tollywood or Bollywood movie anymore. It becomes an Indian movie.
@@AmitYadav-ig8ytactually no this movie was only shot in Telugu meaning it’s a Telugu film. Just cause a movie like avengers endgame is dubbed in Hindi doesn’t make it an Indian-American movie.

Sometimes we all take movie too seriously and forget to think about thin line between real story and fiction. So we'll need to keep brain outside while watching Indian movies. It's pure emotion
In some Indian movies there may be unnecessary songs but the two songs in this movie were so important and part of the plot, The drum beat from natu natu was essential And the second torture song is wat make Ram realise he have to help Bheem Escape
The most powerful entrance of a charector in the history of cinema is the RAMs one that mob fight is terrific one 😶🌫️ I literally watched whole fight with jaw dropped 😂
In the context of this movie, I would agree with the description of Bollywood being over the top real life anime. But there are a lot of grounded, story-focused movies like Drishyam, Andhadhun, Badla, Pink and 3 Idiots. This video is gonna blow up coz of the Indian Audience, mark my words Cassie.

You were spot on with “he is like an avenger”! When my friends and I first watched this movie we called him Captain India after this scene. We also learned the Desi Nach dance… it is super fun In once we saw the motorcycle sword scene he was called the Summer Soldier
some people say that this scene is unrealistic, but it's real as the movie is based on ww2 timeline and that time military bikes were made light in weight and as Bheem is a tribes man he is stronger than regular person as he throws ram in the fountain party fight and he can fight a tiger. that's why.
This ain't a Bollywood movie like most assume, it's a Telugu language Film from the south of India that is representing India all over the world. 28:18 greatest scene in world cinema 2022, not even the Oscar movies can hold the jock for the scene.
LOL you realise that's CGI, right? I mean if you can't see that then you are blind. If they were real animals then yes, it would be a great shot. But they aren't, so it isn't. It's also a moronic film with hilariously bad directing, script and plot.

I missed the original theatrical release but have watched about every review on UA-cam. We have several of the re-release showings in So Cal on March 2nd and I already have tickets for the one in Murrietta. For $13 how can you go wrong! (so far I only see 3 seats reserved!)

Hope a lot of people will see it in theaters again. This movie deserves the best!
Thank you for watching this. I have never been so immersed in a foreign film in my life. I think it was like the Matrix, Braveheart, John Wick and Anime all in one package. Really enjoyed watching this for the first time and then seeing the reaction.

@Illuminaughty I can do that. I'll check it out sometime tomorrow. I'll do my best to keep an open mind because lately I've had to do that for movies I would not have touched a few years back.
@Illuminaughty I will do that. Thank you for the suggestion.
So after recently watching this movie I’m glad to finally find someone who reacted with tears like my wife did. We’ve scoured the internet reactions and you’re the only one I’ve found with equal emotion to my Lisa ❤. Yay one of us one of us. Great reaction bud. We’re hoping to be at your level one day🎉
You're right. I watched yours too. This reaction reminded me of Lisa. Btw I came here after watching your reaction to the Aamir Khan transformation ❤
This is the first time I have ever watched a reaction to a movie I hadn't seen before. This really surprised me. I didn't really know what the movie was about. After the Oscars show I thought it was a musical. It is clearly a whole lot more than that and I want to see the whole film. Thanks.

There is so much creativity in this movie!
It's a whole package.
Ram's story in the movie is so immotional he suffered and sacrified so much everyone got tears on his past.
Thanks for watching, i hope you like it 🥲
Glad to hear u loved it Rob, RRR is everybody's now, everybody deserves the happiness it gives considering the dark times we live in today.
You cried a lot while watching the movie because you are very heartily and kind...❤
Never get into a dance battle (or any kind battle, for that matter) with an Indian movie hero unless you, too, are an Indian movie hero.
I think Ram here had one with his actual father (who's also a great actor) in his previous movie with S S Rajamouli. It was a cameo.😂🔥 It was more of a "Can you do this?🕺🏻"
Her reaction when the title card of "RRR" comes in is the most genuine, heart-warming reaction of them all.
Most probably the film was Sholay it was the biggest hit of the 70s and was similar to RRR🙂
If you can accept that some of the wild stuff is simply a stylistic choice, this is legitimately an amazing movie.

Class injustice. England persecuted whites just as much as people of color. Ask the scottish
I found the stupidity of how they portrayed the "english" rather off-putting at first because I knew that the creators probably meant it earnestly given how earnest everything else about the film is, but taking it as a work of fantasy, I really enjoyed watching it.

The CGI is not as good as the best of western movies, but it still works good and fits the tone of the movie.

Well, in the English dub, the most famous va gave his voice. In hindi dub, the original actors gave their voices.

I have to say, Allison Doody for her 50s looks really well.

Stop stop stop... Wherever i see rrr reaction... Every single comment is like react to kgf , bahubali.. Just enjoy the fuc**ng reaction and be happy... Dont go everywhere copy pasting kgf bahubali... They will watch or ask if they wants to watch.. Just stop giving suggestions everywhere . Grow up
The first time I heard of this film was Blind Wave followed by REACT and it has to be the most bonkers insane film I've ever seen.
I have seen so many reactions but I loved this one.... You literally enjoyed it as what we did in theatres... Lots of love from India❤️
Although I watched this reaction video 11 months later, but girl you really watched this RRR movie from the heart, cause you almost cried at most of the scenes... respect🙏🙏❤
Corridor Crew turned me on to RRR, and I'm glad to know you also found it a wonderful spectacle.
The effects in this film are beyond astounding. There is actually a several hour break down and discussion with the vfx people on the film. They go way in depth on the things they did and it's insane.
You were spot on with “he is like an avenger”! When my friends and I first watched this movie we called him Captain India after this scene.
We also learned the Desi Nach dance… it is super fun
In once we saw the motorcycle sword scene he was called the Summer Soldier
Motorcycle sword?

some people say that this scene is unrealistic, but it's real as the movie is based on ww2 timeline and that time military bikes were made light in weight and as Bheem is a tribes man he is stronger than regular person as he throws ram in the fountain party fight and he can fight a tiger. that's why.
Watch kesari ......it's also a best film
@@debajyotisrc it's based around 1920s, world war started in late 30s
This ain't a Bollywood movie like most assume, it's a Telugu language Film from the south of India that is representing India all over the world.
28:18 greatest scene in world cinema 2022, not even the Oscar movies can hold the jock for the scene.
LOL you realise that's CGI, right? I mean if you can't see that then you are blind. If they were real animals then yes, it would be a great shot. But they aren't, so it isn't. It's also a moronic film with hilariously bad directing, script and plot.
@@TransoceanicOutreach who hurt you dvmbarse? go outside and touch some grass.
@@TransoceanicOutreach What u feel I can't say anything, but no scene in world cinema in 2022 or even the Oscar movies can beat the animal entry scene of RRR.
Also how the hell will anybody bring in real animals & let them kill Britishers, no clue how foolish u sound.
This is the fifth time crying like a child with you. It is just masterpiece. Shoutout to SS Rajamouli and team…It really takes our emotions into extreme.
