thanks longbow for representing my 792P. Though an automation build, it has been heavily modified :) interestingly this thing has about 900hp with the qualifying ECU that unlocks the high RPM, but somehow feels so slow with so little torque. All power numbers and downforce are representative of the real car, though i would have liked to hear his opinions on the car some :P
Quite an awesome event. The Vertex almost won it by going superleggera on the final bend. Now, how good is Amy at recreating the Goodwood Revival circuit?
NOTE: I left the same comment on Amy's video in the event you haven't seen it, in the form of "A history lesson that no-one asked for!" The car at 10:19 is a Group A specification Ford Mustang, and simply based on the number I can tell that this livery is intended to be a homage to Australian driver Dick Johnson. However, the livery references Palmer Tube Mills' product "Red Roo" and I can't recall there ever being a Red Roo-specific livery - his Mustang in 1985 and 1986 ran a livery promoting the "Greens Tuf" product, and his Ford Falcon XE in 1982 had a Red Roo bumper but the rest of the livery promoted the "Tru Blu" product.
I love these types of videos from you, your Festival of Corners Series is still one of my favourite to watch. Pity for Stevie and Joe, definitely could've been very fast if they managed to keep it under control. Russkiy back in a BX as always but unfortunately a bit messy :) Came down to the wire as well. Also Super Touring representing the FWD TCs really well, very well driven with that :D
Wait! I love and missed these types of videos! Timing different cars on a course with a scoreboard just like the old really videos! Thank you so much, my favourite content of yours! :)
This was a fun watch! I don't know if this is a one time thing, a new series or annual thing, but next time would love to see the camera angles being closer to actual Goodwood (if possible) as well as more authentic graphics
@Failrace , I love these kind of videos, I remember that I started watching your channel when you kinda did the same with Gran Turismo races. Please more of these!
Id be intrigued to see you guys employ this format on Forza with equal PI around a proper technical racetrack, with a leaderboard at the end. Kinda like the old f1 one-shot quali
Duuuuude, I think is super cool to host like the event but in BeamNG, it also gives me that nice community vibe cuz alot of ppl are participating on it
This goodwood hillclimb could be a great way to revive the series where the failrace community submitted their automation cars (I think it was for drag racing or something?)
The inline 8 is quite rare, but the most notorious is the one found in the Buick 8. There’s also a land speed Buick 8 named “bombshell Betty” if you feel like hearing a rather modified straight 8. 😉
The Satsuma in the first run has poor performance with a cold engine hence the poor start. Had it been at operating temperatures it would have done much better. I played around with that car quite a bit. Has no get up and go and the power stutters a lot when on the throttle while the engine is cold. It's the only performance vehicle in the game that I have noticed that actually simulates power limitations when cold.
@@jacobeisen11 In all the configurations I have swapped around and tuned in that car, I have no idea why first gear would be that high if that was part of the problem. First and second gear were typically low range for better launch on a low powered engine. Also it was cold because the message in the top left tells you it's cold.
@@SpaceGood. That's a bummer. Why did he stop so early after five episodes? There's so many cars to try out in BeamNG so there's no reason for him to quit so early.
Really wish BeamNG felt better in pavement. The transition from grip to slip is so abrupt on any vehicle. Either the steering assists could be improved or the tire modeling or both.
Thankfully I only sustained minor injuries, sadly the car not so much
Hey, I’m actually the one who made the Hondo R2K LM! Safe to say I was really shocked to see one of my Automation cars in a UA-cam video
oh my god
no way
it looks and sounds really good! great job!

love you fill
are you by any chance playing on keyboard?
Ah I do love the old FR leaderboard graphics. I remember them on a Asseto Corsa hillclimb runs
It was out of control and very scary, but my Spica was really good fun. My favourite car by far.
Ayyy, Dangerman. Great driving i will say , this video was very fun to watch, would love to see more like this👍
Quite an awesome event. The Vertex almost won it by going superleggera on the final bend.

Probably the earliest I’ve ever been for one of your videos! Gonna have to download the Goodwood map to have a go at this myself!
the Rondo is earsplittingly awesome.
I'd swear that engine has the power to start earthquakes.
The Vertex is almost uncontrollable. Crashed 9/10 times in practice.
this was a lot of fun to watch, big thanks to all who took part in this, i'm sure it wasn't that easy to set everything up.
I did well? Oh wow

Love to see this as a FR series!

We need to see a part 2:) not often you see 50s american muscle going up the Goodwood Hill😂

Got to love some hillclimb action!!
23:01 _we heard you like spoilers, so we put a spoiler on your spoiler_

SpeedNeast!! Fattest fingers first eh Alex.

Alex's Festival of speed 😊
Duuuuude, I think is super cool to host like the event but in BeamNG, it also gives me that nice community vibe cuz alot of ppl are participating on it
This was brilliant.
Also just think how insane the Mcmurty must be IRL. 39 flat almost I think it was.
That Satsuma sounds like an old school RC airplane 😅
This was awesome, pls keep them coming!
I appreciate 1st etk's dedication. It'd be another record or nothing
FailRace's announcer skills really shown through in this video I'd like to see him be an announcer for a real life race
Spoiler: There were spoilers.
I enjoyed.
It would be fun to see a series of this with community cars from automation :)
This was so fun to watch and now i can't wait for this year's festival of speed
Brilliant idea, loving this! 🏁
Make this a series
I cant wait to bring some automation cars for you to use😂😂
This was really entertaining to watch. I would love to see you revisit this tournament from time to time. Maybe once a year, like the original.
This goodwood hillclimb could be a great way to revive the series where the failrace community submitted their automation cars (I think it was for drag racing or something?)
I love your commentary and the individual cars! TY

great commentator, i liked this vid it was cool!
100% need more of these
I love the commentating style for this
Very enjoyable video feel like I’m watching real lore friendly racing in beamng
The camera work following the cars left a lot to be desired I thought. lots of lovely trees though : )
Didn't even realise they had this map in beamng. Awesome!
Amy is whippin that boat lol
Very glad to see the rear engined sedan hillclimb car make third. SBR4 is such a great car. X3
Amazing lol i would love a go at this
Did not think I'd see my car from my summer car in a beam game
This was awesome. Wish there was a fan car in Beam for this
There is, but I kinda didn't want to run something open cockpit because it looks goofy x)
Lol, that's fair - funny to see the formula ghost car racing up the track. :D@@longbowxmkii
I cannot wait to finally be able to play Beam.
I knew the Satsuma Amp had a small engine, but the race sounds like an RC car.
I'd like to see more infected videos next!
1:20 now it looks like the satsuma @martincitopants has been driving
Yeah this was a fun video.
actually better viewing than the weather-botched 2023 timed shootout at goodwood.
Now do the Drift event on Goodwood!
Crazy that a dude driving with a keyboard placed 1st.
It's not with a keyboard, it's just lag lol
@@longbowxmkii Ah. Well it was a badass run, either way.
Satsuma should be FWD so that was the first FWD car up the hill.
"Vivace" is pronounced vih-vah'-chi. It's a musical term that means a very fast tempo.
Failrace does Shelsley Walsh or Failrace Hill Climb Championship incoming?
What is a good gaming computer to play this game?
Please do a fail race crew groups for 4 sprint race (split into heats) on this map

@erikwilliam1254 that was on Alex's side. On mine, i was warm.

Makes more sense now.
Just a bad gear ratio then.
Masterpiece
Beans!!!
Where can we find the map? 😮
One of the things that bother me about real life cars imported to Beam is not knowing if the stats and inner geometry are remotely realistic
where i can download this map?
25:01 Found a typo! SPEEDNEAST XD
💜
The fact that we have yet to have a new episode of Driven Till Destruction is worrying.
I'm pretty sure he ended the series already, unfortunately.
@@SpaceGood. That's a bummer. Why did he stop so early after five episodes? There's so many cars to try out in BeamNG so there's no reason for him to quit so early.
is it just me or the graphics feel a bit off? i entirely thought it was a separate game in the first 5 seconds
it is an asseto corsa port, which itself was ported from an early gran tourismo iirc
Does anyone know how to get the map of Goodwood on BeamNG?
Really wish BeamNG felt better in pavement. The transition from grip to slip is so abrupt on any vehicle. Either the steering assists could be improved or the tire modeling or both.
BeamNG driving on pavement is kinda terrible, cars slip so abruptly and easily .
where do you get goodwood FOS map?
Amy Ported it from assetto corsa, She explained it in her own video a couple of days ago.
ua-cam.com/video/VmCbm44RIdY/v-deo.html
Whats the name of this map?
Hello failrace!
Perkele Mobile in the first
That spica race car is based of dick Johnson’s, ford mustang Group A touring car. That he races in that late 80’s
The first cars time is not far off the real times for the porsche cayman gt4 and niasan gtr
These replay videos are so boring. What happened to first person racing?
