Running out of words to say how thankful I am for these videos and for the 'Grace' you show all of us wanting to learn. You really make it sound and look like all of us can do this if we just try...and your smile is so encouraging and honest. Thanks once again for sharing your great love of the guitar. Have a great week! Linda
Thu le I love you, your style is very very smooth and natural I follow your exercise and videos which are very helpful thanks to make people's happy, god bless you ,,
Hi Thu Le. If you read this I enjoyed your daughters' duet of TicoTico. This is a piece I used to play and their performance has inspired me to relearn it. Give them a pat on the back from me.
Thu Le, as the green leaves family behind you, we must think of little rainy drops, when you play these famous thrills, and my sister always giggle, when they have been hit from the water! Thank you for that big help!
Every one of your lessons has been so helpful Thu Le. I've learned more from you in the last few weeks than I have from anyone else in the last several years. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of the guitar.
The experienced, disciplined dexterity of your fingers, and how well you set all the parts in motion on all your interpretations is astounding. You are indeed a World Class Guitarist. On Sunday I listened to fellow guitarist Spaniard Paola Hermosín (on her You Tube) channel. She shocked me when she sang a tune authored/written by Nathy Peluso from Argentina that contained vulgar expletives in English. I know I must have probably been the only one speaking against the song, but I really needed to let her know. She is very nice and talented in the profession, but she is in her early 30's, and probably doesn't realize that we don't need Foul language to express or appreciate a person's story and experience. I really love all your videos, especially the ones that include your two children enjoying playing with their fantastic guitarist mother. God bless Thu Le
Your the first World Class classical guitarist ,that I know of , that has adopted the colloquial “ hammer on” and “pull off” terminology for ascending and descending slurs. I have to admit that the colloquial terms use half the syllables and are pretty self explanatory. I love the way you work. Thanks so much for this.🕊💐✌️🙂👍💐🕊 (and never being pompous)
@chopsddy3 I was thinking the same thing. The terminology of "hammer-ons and pull-offs" is frequently used in learning to play electric guitar, although I've heard it referred to in violin instruction.
You build knowledge as you go, so it doens't take a 100 years for anyone haha. Grace notes aren't that hard, just make sure you practice your slurs regularly, look for some exercises on youtube or have a look at the book Pumping Nylon and stick to them, talent doesn't have anything to do with it, anyone can learn it.
I do not play an instrument, but I like to "understand". It helps me to Appreciate music more, and now I will Listen for what you taught us today. (You are very pretty when you smile.. your voice is as musical as you guitar) "Grace notes.." everything about you is "Gracious".
Muchísimas gracias por tu generosidad, regalándonos tan valiosos conocimientos. He tenido el placer de asistir a una master class contigo, y lo recomiendo encarecidamente, ha sido uno de los mejores regalos de mi vida, que estoy deseando repetir.
Hi, first of all I would like to congratulate you for your performances and vídeo lessons about guitar technique that I have been following and try to learn from your youtube channel. Secondly, I would like to ask you if you could make a video about sliding notes. I have a doubt on a study that I'm trying to learn that is about one note that is within a chord and only that note slides half step to another note that is in a different chord. My doubt is should I pluck the new note that results after/from a slide along with the other notes of the new chord or leave it without playing it and play only the other notes of the new chord after make the slide? Sorry I can't explain it better since I'm new to guitar playing and also a self taught guitar player. I hope you can understand what I mean. I would like once more to thank you so much for your goodwill in explaining several aspects of guitar technique. Best Regards!

Never heard it used for violin, but acoustic guitars , banjos and mandolin books have been using the terms for at least fifty years.
Thu Le, You are amazing! You have more knowledge and talent than I could ever hope to attain if I lived another 100 years! Love from California, Jon
