Hi Mark, I wanted to ask a not so common question. I have a Female RCA FRONT left and right out of the radio. I want to hook it up to an LC2i Pro. Since it is connected to the LC2i using speaker wires, I wanted to connect to the RCA using an male adapter that has a pos and neg going into the female RCA. This will result into 4 wires. So my question is, can I hook up both the left and right ground together and then run the positive for left and right into the LC2i left and right, and hook the Negative of the input of the left and right together?
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for a few months now and I’m learning a lot. I’m about to hook up my stereo system after nearly a year of waiting to afford something decent. What I have is nowhere near what I have seen since starting this. I have a simple question but I need the answer before I start. I have four 6x8 component speakers with passive crossovers(Audiopipe CRX-203) and four tweeters. Each of the 8 speakers are rated at 8 ohms. My question...when I hook each 6x8, tweeter and crossover up what will be the ohms rating? Also, if I run 2 sets in parallel (two crossovers, two 6x8’s and two tweeters) what will be the ohm rate then? I am thinking of bridging my 4 channel amp and running my speakers parallel to hit the 4ohm amplifier rating. Can anyone please answer this for me?
If you have water coming thru that clutch grommet you have waaayy more serious problems .....you probably shouldn't have driven into that flash flood 😨
Its not water pouring through that I mean. Just a little bit of water during every rain/snow storm coming through leads to mold and mildew and the car smelling. Are you really arguing that it's not a big deal to just do things right? 🤔
@@CarAudioFabrication no but just think about it....it's a funny visual..🤣...but I'll agree if you were caught in a rainstorm and either forgot to close hood or were running hoodless (cars are always faster with no hood look it up) or first scenario driving into flash flood ...you might get enough water down to that location on firewall..but it's a mute point because of 3m strip caulk around 0awg...just because I'm super anal like that

Congrats on 500k subs Mark! Your videos are a big reason I got back into car audio after a 20+ year hiatus. Thanks for all the detailed info in your videos , you’ve taught me a lot!!
Hey man can you do a video covering info pertaining to installs with this: - Head unit pre amp outputs - Best way to set up depending on # of rca outs with a 4ch amp (4 speakers 1 sub) or a 4ch amp plus a mono amp. I know more pre amp outs are better for fading etc. I dont think it would matter running 4 speakers 1 sub on a 4ch because the parallel wiring using 2 channels prevents balance/fade anyway. Id also appreciate a big 3 upgrade video. power and ground is simple but how the heck do you do the alternator wires?
Hey Man i build my own amplifier for two SUBS 225 WATT RMS EACH.....when i tested in my shop its sounds perfect......bet when i installl in my car......my SUBS ITS NOT THAT POWERFULL AT ALL LIKE I TESTED IN MY SHOP...and my amp outputs 120 watt rms each channel so total 240
So I have 2 active subs with built in amps. 1500w peak and 750watt RMS each. Total 3000w peak 1500 watt RMS. Want to run from battery to Capacitor then to a distribution block and to the amps/subs. Wire from battery to Capacitor would be around 5- 6 feet. From capacitor to distribution block around 1-2 feet. and from distribution block to anmps/subs 1 foot. The Capacitor is a 5000watt capacitor. What gauge wire do I need from the battery to the capacitor and capacitor yo distribution block, and also what gauge from block to amps/subs? The fuse sizes for both the main power cable and distribution block I'm also unsure of.
Question - pretty sure you were going to go with 12g wire for this build (unless I'm confusing with another build) you end up saying the stock wiring in this car is good enough to run the door speakers on. I'm assuming that was 18g? So I'd assume with the 50 max rms speakers that I'm going to run - the stock wiring will also be sufficient.
I have 2023 Toyota 4Runner I’m having trouble understanding how connect the amp and subwoofer into stereo, the stereo have all kinds of wiring connected to it which it is little confessing , I don’t have diagram or anything that can guide me of which wiring to take off
Do you need all that extra ?your you trying to just sell your stuff? I'm looking at it ' it's less wire work? I'm trying to run a 1000w cerwin vagas 2ch bomber w hifinocs 600w 4 ch
I dont think theres a real answer to this other than balancing the wattage of mids/highs with the bass. Hes done a video before explaining it all and giving ratios to use. For instance 65% of my theoretical power is to my sub and the other 35% goes to my 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. My sub is on a 1500w amp and speakers on an 800w amp. Obviously consider RMS watts mainly. Dont trust the wattage ratings of cheaper brands though, make sure the fuse ratings add up so you can make an educated guess I have loud bass and enough mid/high that its clear. I believe something like a 50: 50 or 60:40 is pretty common.
Please can you help me connect my new android head unit to a factory amp in Volvo S40 2005 which uses optical cable and the head unit has only RCA output.
Does it realy matter a lot how thick the power wire is, i used a cheap kit and the wire is thin but rated for 2800 watt and that is what my sub is rated at, i purchased 0 AWG ground separate as the included was just pathetic, im asking as if i upgrade the power wire to the sub what would the benefit be thanks anyone

Not necessarily. Depends more on the source driving the signal

Every item has a manual that tells you what size wire will fit. Use the biggest wire every time.
I am a bit surprised that there wasn't more Sound Shields put onto the wheel wells in the trunk area since a lot of road noise happens in those areas, but anyways great videos as always, keep them coming.
Hi Mark. Could you do a video on a 2019 Ford Fiesta install?
Wow, yeah id be pissed if I did an install and had a faulty wire lol.
Is there not a kit?
At what power would consider to run cables through the door to run the speakers?
Extremely helpful videos coming all the time! Quick question: I want to add a secondary mono amplifier to my system, how do I connect the extra ground cable? Should I use a splitter or wire the secondary ground cable to another ground bolt? Thank you and keep up the good work. Best wishes from Turkey!
For the wire loom?
Good or bad to run a ground wire from the front battery to the trunk battery ?
It doesn’t matter your basically grounding it still so it’s fine to do that
Lol you used the grommet where the clutch pedal is supposed to be
Yep, the advantage of a car being an automatic.
