This video was absolutely phenomenal Martin. Really enjoyed it. I'm personally waiting for the right VR headset to come out that really gives you a nearly perfect cinema viewing experience. Based on what we know of the Pimax Crystal Super, would you say it'll be THE ultimate headset to watch movies on, once it comes out? Will the resolution of the Super be more the current Crystal, delivering an even sharper image?
I sure hope you do another one of these when the 12 K comes out brother. I'm surprised the company didn't stick with the 42 PPD lenses precisely for this purpose. Pimax crystal hits 200 nits in highlights on pimax Crystal, so in a dark VR theater environment it fits the standards that anyone would want from a dedicated home theater set up in terms of its dynamic range.
I promise there will be lots of 12K coverage once its out! Indeed I would love to see retail 42ppd lenses. There are definitely good use cases for these.
Thanks for the very informative video. No matter which platform I use I cannot view any streaming content (Netflix, Paramount+...). The main page show up but when you play the content the screen is blank but the audio is there. I'm using Chrome with graphics acceleration turned off. Any suggestions?
7:15 well it's nearly to the edges but not completely, not like the Quest 3/Pro is. This is the one area in which the Q3 beats the Crystal, but of course the Crystal image is better in every other aspect really.
Sure in most of these apps you can use gaze-interaction in the menus without controllers, or simply run Virtual Desktop and control everything with your mouse. Enjoy! 😀
Is there any option to see adult content via website? In my Pico 4, with the native web browser I can reproduce it online and in 3D mode, but I can’t do it via Virtual Desktop or at least I don’t know how to do it… and now I’m going to buy the Cristal light and that is a matter for me…
@@SweViver the Vr1 will be released 1 year after the crystal so it is to be to expected that its better . It's way more expensive though . The 120-130°h fov will be epic though+awesome passthrough 🙂
Any VR headset will work for movies. Its all about what level of quality you expect or demand. Crystal is the top tier when it comes to that, which is the key point in this video. Its not for everyone, of course.

For movie watching is much better to get a lightweight vr headset like the bigscreenbeyond.. The pimax crystal is too much off a brick(with all respect ofcourse,for flightsimming it can be okay)Try to lay down for relax movie watching or something like that,its a no go..

Is it possible to work on multiple monitors in the pimax crystal? Lets say i want 4 chrome screens for tradingview? Do i really need 4 monitors or can this be virtually achieved?

I would say battery is a dealbreaker, especially since it can run for 4-6 hours straight here depending on what you do. But sure its a downside for some ppl
I have a kid, soon two kids and work fulltime for Pimax. Cant keep up in that pace of pumping video like before, and there are many videos I cant make for obvious reasons. The videos I do now comes occasionally, topics based of what Im doing and working with, just to kind of keep the channel somewhat alive. Life is life man.

Yes, the Crystal resolution is awesome, but the Quest 3 has true edge to edge lens clarity. They are both awesome.

Comfort wise yes. Quality wise, no. I do have the Bigscreen Beyond here and I would claim even the G2 has better image quality.
Bigscreen beyond made me real sweaty in 20 min.
Im sad that 3D movies are only 1080p, They would work so well with VR if they were higher resolution

Yes of course, applications such as Virtual Desktop OVR Toolkit can arrange even more than 4 monitors/windows.
