I mixed one of my favorite songs with some of my favorite moments with this wonderful man. ^^,

Dean was a great man; actor & singer. I was glad I got to see him in VEGAS at the MGM. At least we have the CD"S and DVD"S TO BRING BACK the great memories of a very talented man!

My grandparents introduced me to Dean Martin when I was only 6 years old and I memorized all his songs...I'm 61 now and his songs bring back sooooo many great memories

The way that Dean manages to calm me down and assure that there’s nothing to worry about pretty much every time I hear him is incredible, it’s like he’s sitting me down next to him and giving me one big hug with his voice and I love it.
I had a really bad panic attack last week in hospital and my daughter putt on my music with her head fones and deano calmed me right down just listening to his soft releasing voice thank god god made a man with a beautiful voice. 😘

Joseph Landrut I too am a great admirer of Jeannie. I think she must have been a very wise and strong woman to have taken on not only Dean but all four of his children from his first marriage (three of whom were already teenagers - and all older parents know how hard THOSE years can be) plus her own three little ones, when she was only in her twenties herself. And, as both Deana and Ricci attest in their books, she made a happy home for them all to grow up in as a ‘blended’ family. Even Dean was full of praise for her in one interview I saw; “And I found Jeannie, such a wife. She took my 4 children from my first marriage and she won ‘em over, and she was so young. They call her Mom you know. And we had 3 others but she loved ‘em all the same......what luck that my Jeannie was there and was such a fine lady. My Jeannie and her blue eyes.”

This cover all the important part of Dean's life that we saw on t.v. From the time with Jerry and them getting back together on t.v.. Also Deans show and his love for horses and animals in general. Thanks for putting such a wonderful tribute together of Dean's life. Bought tears of joy to my eyes thinking of such a warm hearted man such as Dean.

Sorry...but Dino coolness defines this song..yes Merle wrote and sung it first but Dino version brings the lyrics to life..he doesn't just sings it.. it's as if he actually lived the lyrics
@@carlton4129 cmon man. merle wrote it about hes own life. dean sings about merles life here. and even if dean had rough upbringing, it def does not sound as sincere when you know how big of a figure he was. he def did not "work on some road gang" during the time he sang it or "never was nobody's idol". i like this version a lot, but it's merles life, his own sincere understanding of the life around him which he actually lived. this whole song screams merle and countryboys
@@russhl125 sorry russ... but please go back and listen to both versions.. that's exactly what I just did.. and there really is no comparison..I know Merle wrote it about his life.. but I close my eyes and I can actually see Dino thumbing through Chicago.. there's lot more emotion in his version...meanwhile Merle version is somewhat generic with little emotion and sounds more like a cover.. and before you say anything I love Merle...btw I actually owned a vinyl copy of the Dino's lp ..so as a kid I probably listened to it like a thousand times

I am a huge fan of Dino and Merle Haggard (the man who wrote the song). I own this original record and have played it to death. I have seen Merle live but never had the opportunity to see Dino. Sometimes life is unfair.
