- Is This The End For My Channel? I have been meaning to discuss my content, particularly the travel videos like my latest on Ohio. I've received questions about my Harley-Davidson Road Glide, Appa, which I haven't sold despite trying. I talked about my motorcycles, the challenging economy, and plans to sell some bikes and a toy hauler. I'm also prepping for a Harley-Davidson event in Milwaukee. While the YT shorts is their way to compete in the short-attention-span-theater that is today’s social media, the long-form is why we are still here. I'd take my old (new to me) low mile Road King ANY day over a new Harley. EVO all the way baby! Better than my Electra Glide. And it's paid for.

It's been in the high 90's here in Memphis. And No, you aren't the only one. I have heard a lot of UA-camrs complaining about the "mandatory" mid-week shorts rule. UA-cam is just trying to discourage people, and flex on people. Stay strong/ And stay with us.
To be honest Jess, I watch whatever interests me. Short or long videos, it's the content & the people that keep me coming back. The shorts, sometimes make me laugh but for the long videos, it's because of the interesting stuff you do, where you go riding, showing us all the great places to go and visit. Just keep doing what you're doing best, who cares what UA-cam says. 🙂

Honest opinions on life and things, and telling us how you feel. I feel the 'shorts' are a waste of time, they are usually pulled from a longer video that I have already walked. I met you a while back in maybe 2021? Me and my brother were amazed by your motorcycle in The Great Smokey Mountains. I was the little girl haha! I’m now a teenager and it was so cool meeting you. Your motorcycle inspired me to want to buy and drive one once my older. I’m really hoping you continue to do what you do. Although I’m not very consistent with watching people on UA-cam, I came back and saw you posted.
Only made the comment about the truck, because I'm a retired truck Driver. Love your videos, they inspire me to get out and ride, whether it's a ride to lunch, or checking out some historic places, keep up the good work ;-)
I hate shorts, it is SO disappointing when you see a post and enthusiastically press on it for the latest video and it turns out to be a short…….
You keep posting and I’ll keep watching. Whether it’s getting coffee and checking the mail, touring Costa Rica with BMW, or anything in between, I’m a fan of this channel and everything it posts. I don’t get to road trip my bikes as much as I want, so I have to live vicariously through your channel sometimes. Keep it up Jess!

P.S. I have had been riding with the Michelin Commander 3’s front & back on my 2015 Dyna Low Rider and I love them! They really improve Cornering ability and got really good grip on the road!

Jess! Shorts must be fairly easy to make! as far as I can tell, most shorts are just 30 second or maybe 60 second clips from the creators regular videos!!!!😊

I have a Honda VTX 1300 08 and I run nothing but Dunlap Commander 2s on it. They last twice as long as other tires I can get for my bike. You keep doing you and will keep watching.

Love your channel and have enjoyed watching you evolve as you have gotten more involved with motorcycles and the moto community. I am a 69 year old rider from northern Alberta in Canada and have been watching your channel pretty much from the start ! I too hate “shorts” in any form, whether it’s TikTok or UA-cam or Snapchat. For a UA-cam vlog to be informative or even entertaining , it has to be at least 20 minutes or more, in my humble opinion. Both you and Jordan need to keep on being yourselves. I also subscribe to Jordan’s channel and like you, it’s been a blast watching him grow and evolve on UA-cam!
I just started riding. In my 40s and my dad is giving me his Harley. I've been watching some riders on youtube for awhile now and this is the first time your channel has popped up in my recommendations. Shorts has its purposes but I prefer the longer stuff. For what its worth I enjoyed your video and have subscribed. My stepdad has been trying to buy a specific motorcycle and he says its been difficult. One guy selling locally on facebook turned out to be a dealer across the country and would ship the bike with half the money as down payment. Others would say it sold but they have other bikes if he's interested. He's getting frustrated and feels like there are too many scammers now.

Seriously though I really love watching all your adventures, you have fantastic energy no matter what you are doing, long rides, historic sites to the big rallies. No matter what you decide all I can hope is you are happy doing it and continue to bring us along on your adventures.
I enjoy watching your channel. It's fun, it's informative, and pretty inviting to pretty much anybody that rides any brand or style of bike. Don't worry about making shorts. I'll watch any content you post in the future.
If they get pushy, take a weekend, and make 52 shorts. Do the same thing in every one. Change or adjust the clothes you have on, state the name of your channel and who you are, and post the link. That way you can just post one each week to keep them off your back.

As someone who also chews through tires super fast I feel that cost pain on a spiritual level. 20k miles in one year of riding on average and tires ain't cheap.
Thanks Jess, hope you get it worked out, just replaced my rear tire on my SG it was a commander installed 2017got 18 k out of it and it still had tread but not enough highway miles to keep going, my short runs around Dallas got it scalloped and you know if you heat a scallop up it comes apart! love the commander tires
My wife bought her first bike a Harley 48 a year ago. Your channel was the channel that I told her to subscribe to and watch. It wasn’t because it was a female run channel, yours is just literally one of the best motorcycle related channels out there. She still watches.

Jess, stay positive with your channels future. We are all with you when it comes to this economy. I've been looking to upgrade to either a older Road King or Road Glide, and it's not in the cards now. My work hours have been cut and money is certainly tighter. I drove a tour bus 1966 - 2000 thru the USA and Canada, now retired and just turned 81, , riding my Gold Wing around Florida looking for less than one week adventures. We are at agreement on shorts, shorts are for jokes.
Variety is the spice of life. Whether you're traveling long distance or just down the street - we'll keep watching the channel. Stay true to yourself - being genuine is what makes the channel enjoyable. BTW - The Michelin Commanders are great tires - They last....

Yup, I love the commander III, have them on both my bikes, the cruiser and touring. Even at 5k, not much wear. I didn't replace mine till closer to 10k.
You're speaking the truth on trying to sell a motorcycle in this economy. I've had my 2018 V-Strom 1000 for sale for over a year now and can't even get any interest. It blows having it just take up valuable space in my garage, but I've lowered my price about as far as I'll go.

I hear you. Like I told you I got rid of my 24 RG and also traded my Accord on a Jeep. Regretting it, but my insurance went down and now i only have one motorcycle to maintain.

The short form is where all media other than Studio Productions and sports are going. Books, articles, TV shows, the whole enchilada. Like everything else, the junk will fall away and the cream will rise.
You do not need to worry about tire install and cost , IF You know the right people. I know 2 personal shops ,, tons cheaper than HD shops. One off 104 and one outside of Tarlton.

About the shorts video, think of them as making commercials to bring new follower to your channel. Simply use a small 30 seconds portion of a video you already made. That just may help you make it over 200k followers. Food for thought.😊

In these times I think everyone in the motorcycle community needs to be real about the economic impact the hobby has on their lives. I would love to own multiple bikes, but being retired, that’s just not feasible. In February of 2010 I bought a used 2008 Police Electra Glide. I have spent a considerable amount of time and money making it my bike. At this point there isn’t much left of the original bike. For the money I have spent, I certainly could have paid for a CVO bagger with modifications. This is my bike. I will ride it until I can’t anymore.
I enjoy the longer 'road trip' type videos. I rarely comment but always hit the Like button. Cheers, from Perth, Western Australia.
If you are selling your trailer don’t stress about selling the Dyna. It seemed like the Dyan was being your trailer bike because it fit well with Jordan’s. And if you both ride somewhere that he needs something bigger and bags he can ride Dolly.

I had a victory cross-country tour that i rode for 8 years. Sold it in 2022 and bought a Mach 1 Mustang. The car is fun, but not as much as my victory was, sold it with 100039 miles on her. love watching you! and i hope the economy gets better soon! you are trying to sell and i just started looking im retired 2 years now the only big bill i have is my truck and that will be paid off in december yeah! so thats my window been looking at some new bikes for idears want to take some long trips. but if things keep going the way they are me and my old bike will just have to stick to short rides. shes 18 years old looks good runs good but the old girl got lots of miles on the clock. and at my age 64 dont want to chance it. so that being said hopefuly things will get better for all of us. hope to see many more her two wheels vids. hang in there ride safe injoy two wheels!
Me and some friends of mine run a car tire on the back tire of our Harleys . It took a little while to find a car tire that would fit right but we did it my rear tire is a 200/55/17 on my softail custom and I have had the same tire on it for three years now and it rides like a dream
