- Today we got up early and moved Goliath into the shop. The southern tire part here at the pilot was nice enough to allow us to use their shop. Space the guys here have been a great help not just a lending us the Shop space but assisting us with some tools that we did not have as well as assistance with a couple of items.
We finally got the broken transverse being removed and the new one installed. We also removed the airbag and ended up reinstalling temporarily until the new ones get here on Monday.
We went to diagnose the driveline problem and unfortunately, it was a big problem. Looks like we broke something within the power divider so we had to order a rebuilt member for it. Unfortunately, that will not arrive until Tuesday.

I can’t believe pilot is letting you use the shop like that, I’m glad! I was gonna say they run cars at Fonda sat night, right across the river from where you are. If you ride north from there it’s really nice country.
It’s technically not the pilot. It’s the southern tire Mart. They’re just in the pilot parking lot. The crew there is really really nice and extremely helpful. I walked over to the speedway yesterday evening. Unfortunately, the races were canceled because of the weather.
AA and family, so thankful to hear some encouraging news...parts are on the way! Very good of the folks at Pilot, for allowing the use of their facilities. God bless them for that! Glad your getting Goliath going ! I know owning a vehicle where a lot of parts are discontinued has to be a "anxiety" moment when something breaks, hoping u can find it.
Luckily, things are looking promising at the moment. Just didn’t mind the wet pavement at least I’m not the only one whose mind is in the gutter lol

It does suck that you have to make the expensive repairs to the truck. A lot of the money made for the business in Laconia out the door but that is the price of being in business. I am not sure why I am running my mouth here. You surly know what it cost to run a business. I guess one of the lucky parts to this story is the shop that was close and allowing you to make the repairs. That is a blessing. Take care and hope next week will make it all right.
Yeah, unfortunately, it works. That way sometimes we we make money just to throw it back into the equipment to keep going. But in the end, it usually still works out. We are very fortunate that the kindness of the strangers has been extremely beneficial.

Glad you are making progress, Yes, across the river is Fonda speedway, great dirt racing every Saturday night. Lots of good riding in that area and you are only a little over an hour from Lake George (where Americade is held). Make the best of it. Be safe

What a pain in the ass! Of course the temp was in the 70's also, right? One positive note is that you had access to the shop, tools and help when needed! I think next year I'd bypass that bike run.. repair cost were proably more than profit made. Great vlog/Safe travels!

About Part Numbers - okay, I have a Honda CB750 from 1979. I needed to find a special o-ring that looked more like a triangle. Its for sealing the Tach Cable Coupler to the Valve Cover. There was a hell of a leak. Finally my last try was 'Chatgpt"- after 5 tries I found the right part number to look up on ebay - done deal -

I just heard that the racing for tonight has been canceled because of the weather so that’s a little little disappointing but yes, very thankful for the guys in the shop being so supportive

Yes, the situation could’ve been so much worse in here. We’ve got some support from strangers with big hearts.
For as much bad luck as you’ve been having at least you have a few things going in your favor. When I was younger things like this would get me so aggravated. As I get older, I deal with things a lot like you are. Good luck hope the rest of the repairs go without issue.
I found allowing things to aggravate me just makes the situation worse, I just try to think things through with a clear head

I've been following along im a subscriber I live right in town and know the weather is shit. If you guys need to stock up on food or anything a ride to to the store is no problem. There is a Walmart not far away.
