Thank you so much for this explanation. I have watched many videos describing T2D and its causes so I already understand the basic mechanics behind it, but this video did a great job of presenting the information in a concise and relatable way. Excellent job!
I had a conversation with my aunt today about her obese weight troubles and insulin issues. I told her that she should consult with a professional nutritionist that can customize her dietary needs to help her lose weight. And, safely. I will tell her about you next time I talk to her. She is in serious need of help. Her, and her son, my cousin.
4 months of this.(Started at a 389 and a1c of 14.7. This week 150 and 7.1) with a libre3 and researching heavily.. and no one has explained why my baseline glucose level seems to be a 150. This makes perfect sense. Im a new subscriber. Watched 4 of your videos in the past few hours. My BIGGEST question that I hope to find.. is why if I take Humalog will my glucose hit a wall. I WILL NOT go below say a 110 glucose reading. I could take 8 units humalog. OR 14.. seems to level off at 110. Ive been told to watch for low glucose. It has NEVER happened in 4 months.
Hi John Thanks for the comment. I can’t explain why the glucose won’t drop below a certain threshold unless you’re eating different amounts of carbs with each dose But do be careful. Trust me, they can and often do drop low - especially if you’re trying to make it happen and it can be very very dangerous. So just be careful 👍
Thank you for the video. In most of the YT videos out there, it focused on the IR. This video covered the role of liver and base line glucose.
Great video mark xx
Thanks Sheila
