My favorite song but we need back vocals for Mike with screaming "One step closer to the edge" like the original.
Actually you're wrong about mike shinoda doing the backing vocals for one step closer on the album, who sings those parts is Chester, only in a lower, thicker tone, maybe that's not the right word but that's it.
Definitely has the Korn vibe but Johnathan Davis Definitely made Chester proud!

It's pretty obvious that Jonathan Davis wasn't at the top of his game here, especially AFAIK about Korn, his singing style is quite different than that of Chester's. He most likely showed up here because he appeared in the bridge of the Reanimation remix, and had joined the band singing that part back in Projekt Revolution 2004, and he was amazing back then. They should've brought that part back for this show, tbh; I'm sure JD would have done better on the part that he originally sang on.
I always thought it was a missed opportunity to do the Reanimation bridge as well. Played it in 2003-2004 never to be done again

In general, the lyrics tell about Chester Bennington who feels frustrated because he is restrained, ordered around, controlled by other people. But unlike most of Linkin Park's other songs, this song doesn't seem to have a specific meaning, because some of the lyrics (per verse) of the song have nothing to do with it at all.
